I never paid much attention to Rimmel either, but they just came out with Provocolips 16 hr lipsticks that are getting rave reviews everywhere for pigmentation and insanely long wear without drying out your lips. I’ve been prowling around the local drugstores trying to find them…..

I love the look of Rose Quartz! Sadly, I don’t think any of these are available in the UK (we have Revlon and Maybelline, but different products) – Maple Kiss and a some of the HD lipglosses would probably be insta-buys for me.

I bought the Rose Quartz gloss and absolutely love it. A rare occasion where a lip color looks the same on you as it does on me (very pale)! On me it is actually a tinge more cool-toned rosy. I highly recommend.

Thanks so much for compiling this list! Definitely getting some of the new Revlon HD Glosses! And I VERY much agree with you that Revlon ought to make Snoe Peach part of their PERMANENT line, it looks so soft and almost ethereal.

I just started getting into lipsticks this year, actually in the last two months after being a lipgloss only girl for years.
So far I’m loving the Milani Color Statement lipsticks, Black Cherry and Sangria are a favorite.
Colourpop lippie stix in Flawless (OMG I love it)

Also I have to add that Jordana makes wonderful lip liners. Creamy, pigmented and super cheap. Like $1.99 cheap!

Happy New Year Christine. Thanks for all you do 🙂

I just need all of those ColorPop lipsticks, lol! I’ve actually had some good budget-friendly lip products, this year.

My favorites have been:
1. Pixi Shea Butter chap stick in “Ripe Raspberry” (SO pigmented, OMG!)
2. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in “Crush”
3. Neutrogena’s tinted lipbalms (the ones that come in the oval twist-up tubes). They smell delicious, have a great pigmentation, and are moisturizing.
4. Burt’s Bees glosses (for layering, not for being worn alone)

I have a huge lippie collection, but the Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquers have become my latest obsession!! I grabbed 6 of them and I’m thinking of getting 2 more. The pigmentation on most of them is so crazy it looks like they shoved 2 lipsticks into that tube, then added gloss for extra shine. I only need to dot a little bit on, go over with with a clear SPF 15 lip balm, and my lips are plush and soft all day, even in the dead of winter. And I can’t believe the price – only $9 each, sometimes $7 if on sale.

So much goodness here! Three cheers for affordable lipsticks that pack not only pigment, but hydration and awesome colours too! <3

I can't wait for the Revlon glosses to get here, and I'm loving my Nyx. I need to get a hold of a couple of those Lippie Stix at some point, too (Bunny and Feminist, I think? The green and the purple?)

So glad I bought Pink Ruby. It looks bright in the tube but looks perfect on my lips! I get so many compliments when I wear it! And the formula is highly pigmented and comfortable…not tacky to me. Happy new year! 🙂

I bought several of the Revlon HD lippies – Rose Q (based on your photo). I am an MAC NC50. It is beautiful. i also like NYX Soft Matte Creams, and Revlon Lip Butters.

The Revlon HD Ultra Lip Lacquers are my absolute fave!! I already have 6 of them. I love Rose Quartz ,a MLBB shade. I’m thinking of getting Pink Ruby and Fire Opal next–super bold colors but hope I can pull them off, or I can probably sheer them out with some lip balm.

MAC NC50

NYX Tea Rose is my favorite pinky/nude w/o looking ashy
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle – great glossy brown pink
Revlon Colorburst Matte Lip Balms in Standout and Sultry
Revlon HD Lip Lacquer in Smoky and Rose Quartz

Rimmel has a matte deep red but can’t recall the shade
I am also interested in two shades from Milani’s matte collection

I ended up buying Revlon Pink Ruby and (to my surprise) it looks great on me! Sometimes I have trouble with bright pink colors because I’m pretty pale and I think I have yellow-y undertones (I can never actually be sure) but I’m really glad I got it. I also got Citrine because orange lip products are my favorite. I’m just so thankful for all your reviews!
