The deeper shade just looked more like a mauvey-wine in the promos… Also, the light coral shade won’t work for me, either-but I really like the highlighter!

I suppose it’s to be expected from a collection centred around a single shade, but WOW, this look is really pulled together! Sort of reminds me of a sepia photograph, except instead of sepia it’s Marsala!

Okayyyyy.. Trying to eye the color steady while imagining my pale cool skin, I think it’s less than what I was hoping for but with definite possibilities! 😀 Thanks for this! I think I love it. <3 I will be getting this! 😀 *\(^_^)/* Yay! Sephora better process my expletive expletive returns because it's getting expletiveIng ridiculous! I'm actually blocked on their twitter because I kept bringing up all the unsavory people with the exact same complaints and they so dislike me. O.O I'm not selfish, trying to help others realize Sephora is doing nada! I'm so frustrated with their customer service and I doubt ill ever get my refund! But I'm hoping! 🙂 thanks, all done ranting. 😉

Aww! Thank you SO MUCH! That means a lot to me! 🙂 Im concerned that my YSL TINT-in-oil that was stated as shipped is just an empty box as well.. I’ve never experienced such customer service from Sephora! On the phone they had me crying! Seriously mean and not informed! No higher ups available to talk to anymore, just everyone saying the same thing. That process will break soon enough, always dors, but I feel bay because they used to be great! I need to return something else and bow I’m plain scared! :/

Thank you. I’m surprised to see you say that! I’ve imagined flawless transactions between you and Sephora! (Lucky) 🙂 But again, you’re staring that its others’ experiences which you hear mostly negative, not your own. I’m happy for you that you aren’t experiencing this. It’s the first time I’m stuck in a place not sure whether to become more aggressively pro-active about or just stay quiet.. They’ve sent searched palettes, broken things, yet fixed them immediately with sorries! Now.. It’s just not the same and I don’t want put on their naughty list! Some things I can only get there!
1. Great brands left
2. More international stores
3. Nobody answering phones with anything somewhat helpful
4. Being given attitude and a back snap is not cool.
5. Returns do not “usually take 4-5 weeks”
6. BOGUS information as EXCUSES!
7. I don’t care if they are ARENT happy with me right now. I’ve spent thousands over a decade of years and helped them BECOME! I supported them, trusted in them, gave them my service, my money, and I’m treated like crap. VIBROUGE means nothing.
8 Had I had my money back as it should have been, I could have proceeded with more gift shopping as I trusted their timing, but alas, I’m at a loss. And although the item shipped, my bank account didn’t change, so is this s joke because Diana on Twitter @sephora coukd “no longer help me” after asking every personal question?!

Seriously, I have my account, the detaild should be there. But then I was asked the orders, I gave the numbers, them they proved for the exact items, and I told them exactly, seems weird.. And then they blocked me after saying they will no longer be able to help me and referred me to the same number as everyone else. I feel like I’ve INVESTED in sephora and I want to DEMAND their contractually obligated CUSTOMER SERVICE! You know I’m sick often, this type of thing is just negative energy and doesn’t help. I honestly don’t know what to think of everything other than I hope it’s resolved, too! But, what if it’s not, Christine? Who do I go to then? :/

You can always take it up with your bank and/or credit card to dispute the charge or try to file a claim that way. I would probably take my business elsewhere (or at least, the majority) if you really feel like they have dropped the ball. I’ve only had two or three issues with orders with Sephora over the last three or four years, and only one was a positive experience, but based on what I’ve experienced, their representatives aren’t very empowered to actually help (none of have been rude, it’s just clear they aren’t given the tools or processes to solve issues in a way that leaves the customer feeling good).

Haven’t bought from Sephora for a long time. Why? Am treated better elsewhere and want my business. I live near all the major department stores. Sephora can keep their crappy free samples. I get real samples at those department stores.

Question, please: I’m concerned the middle color might be similar to that Hourglass ALB in dim infusion that I found so awful on me! Can I please ask for close highlighter & blush dupes to get a feel for what this is most like? I mean, I could easily find one good blush to take its place and save money by not getting this and not being happy.. It’s very difficult, on my screen anyway, to really detect the undertones when applied to your skin, I could guess so easily wrong. Many Nars blushes have a great earthy color. As do MAC, if saving a bit of money compared to Chanel, options are always there, sleek, etc. So I greatly appreciate the honesty! Thank you! 🙂

Greetings Christine!

I will be looking forward to those reviews! The highlighter seems close to Filmstar and the blush so lovely, all favorable on you! At $28, that’s not bad if one color needs re-purposed! I’m also intrigued for your review of the palette though I’m guessing that the fluke good quality of last year’s, which did sell out and not make it to clearance, will stand alone as this just feels bad to me but a good review would be a fun surprise because the colors together look beautiful and I like the smaller palette. Best of luck! 🙂 Thanks for all your honest hard work. xo!

I just ordered this (and the palette & lipstick ) today now I’m excited to get it. Very interesting blush color i don’t have anything like it. Can’t wait for your full review of this and the palette, I hope they perform well.
Will you be reviewing the entire collection?

It looks very nice and wearable! Exactly what I would expect from a Marsala cheek palette, actually. I have high hopes for this color in terms of special colour of the year makeup, just because I think it will be workable or interpretable for a lot of people. More so perhaps than orchid or teal, as pretty and exciting as those colours may be 😉

Is Spanish Villa the Orgasm of Pantone? It’s decent + arguably more tonal with marsala than with radiant orchid..but do we need it again? It kind of negs out my desire, since the third shade is probably a no-go. But that’s why we have your dupes. I like the COTY concept, but last year, there were no other offerings, and it gets kind-of sell-out-y/competitive, with a few remainders hanging around. this choice is fall-ish, but could look fine on some cool toned ladies, in that contrast manner.

Oh man, my wallet is already having a panic attack! I thought – THOUGHT – I was going to pass on the eye shadows, but then I saw the swatches, and now this. This is such a good color for me so I guess I’ll just have to buy EVERYTHING. HA HA HA. I wonder if they’ll let me work 70 hours a week to pay for it!! HA HA HA
I want ALL this stuff! 😀
