We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Why limited edition, Tarte? I get só frustrated with limited editions stuff since I don’t live in the US and normally am not able to pick LE stuff. I travel to the US every couple years and am only able to buy permanent stuff…

How many matte or neutral brown shades have been swatched in every palette on all blogs makeup in last 10yrs? They all look the same. The same ol look…but you used 50 different palettes with the same brown family of tones. Its sparkle n hype making ppl spend money…new package, new brand….but in the end ..same color schemes over and over. Sorry temptalia….not bashing….but you have looked the same with all your makeup looks since you started your blog site. I never see a huge diffrence in your looks from palette to palette….just same old look. Just saying.

Well, if there’s something you really want and it’s not gonna be released outside of the US you can always use an online service that gives you as US address then forwards your items to you. You have to pay for that service but if you go to eBay you’ll probably spend more. Just google. There are a bunch of companies.

If you have the chocolate bar palette, nobody needs this boring palette…we all have these same colors in our makeup stash now…..! Just because its tarte so what, its all repeated colors over and over….recycling. ..

Just because you do not like/need this palette dont ruin it for the rest of us who may want this one, If you have sooo many palettes and are soooo bored with everything why are you reading this review. I feel you are slightly bashing Christine who is just posting and reviewing for those of us that want to see the review. Just saying.

Some of these colors are absolutely beautiful. I look forward to your review, but at the same time I am not going to buy the palette because I find myself unwilling to buy palettes anymore unless I like every single shade.

I have no idea of the business side behind it, but why, in the day of the internet, can companies not sell shades individually? I’m happy to buy a Z-Palette or similar to avoid accumulating what amounts to landfill.

Wow – the swatches look really good-quality and, let’s face it, I think I NEED something called “Super Mom” – heck, even if it were a dupe for CARBON, I would feel entitled to own it! I eager to see the reviews and hope it might come to Canadian Sephora stores and not just be an ULTA/Tarte exclusive!

I’m a sandwich fanatic.. always layering. I’m not good with matte finish on entire eye either. I usually lay down a cream shimmer finish if I’m working with matte shadows afterwards, or conversely a matte cream shadow if I am working with shimmer shadows. Either end of the spectrum..too shimmery, too matte doesn’t work on me. But I like the depth of finish with a cream and shadow sammich. 🙂 The second horizontal line rocks my boat.

Thank you for the sneak peek! As someone whose eyeshadows consist of ~90% UD shimmer/glitter shadows, I could definitely use more mattes in my stash 😛 These also look like they would be friendly toward my cool toned skin. Cannot wait for the full review 🙂

I’ve just received mine today and I heaved a sigh of relief to see it’s made in the U.S.A. It has been my experience with Tarte that their palettes made in the U.S.A. are VASTLY superior to their palettes made in China (I can say that of any brand, actually). Just look at the packaging! In fact, if it’s made in China, I will not purchase.

This reminds me of the Be Mattenificent palette from last year. I really like that one, but this one seems to just have a few more different shades. Definitely curious about your review.

Wow, I’m normally not a fan of Tarte’s shadows, but these mattes look great! I prefer a little shimmer in my shadows, and I don’t need another neutral matte palette (already have the IT cosmetics one, and while it’s nice, have barely used it), but this is tempting…..

kaitlyn Avatar

These swatches are great! They don’t look chalky or patchy at all! I’m so hoping they’re the same quality as the Mattenificent palette from last year! (Mine will be here soon, so I guess I’ll find out! lol) I don’t do all-matte looks, but I have so many single shadows and great shimmer palettes. For me, this kind of thing is something I reach for to have everything I need to complete a look. 🙂

Looks a little like Lorac’s Unzipped, matte version. The colors are so me that I very uncharacteristically ordered it before your review. I was never on Tarte’s website before, very cute!

I think Tarte did a nice packaging job on this palette but they were a little late in 2 respects for me. 1-I had bought another Tarte palette & discovered that their formula irritates my eyes. After only an hour 1+ wear my eyes began to itch. 2-For a matte color palette I bought the Kat Von D true romance & found it to be the same quality as UD. For Tarte I will stick to their blushes.

Courtney Avatar

Christine, how does this palette compare to Tarte’s ‘Be MATTEnificent’ palette? I’m really tempted to buy this palette — I love nudes and I love mattes — but this looks so similar to the mattenificent palette (minus the caramel shades), which I already own. (Not to mention the lighter mattenificent shades — while I love the formula — all appear the same on my medium skin tone, so I’m worried this will too).
