Eye cream! More for the ability/excuse to give myself an eye/face massage than actually feeling specific benefits of eye creams though 😉

Either that or peely masks. Probably peely masks, actually, as you can startle unsuspecting husbands with them as you pretend to tear off your face, just like that one episode of MacGyver where Murdoc does it….

Aside from sunscreen (which is a given!), I’d have to say it’s between oils (argan, coconut, jojoba, maracuja…) and kaolin clay masks! I love exfoliating, too, but I prefer a gentle liquid cleanser and a soft manual brush, so I don’t consider that a skincare “product”.

A very good face scrub. Laura Mercier Face Polish is fantastic. I especially love to use it after the PMS week when the zits are gone. It smoothes out my face and does away with the dead skin.

I think they’re not actually good for you (I’ve heard they actually make your pores larger) but I used to love those Biore strips, it was so satisfying to see all the gunk they’d rip out of your pores.

Now I think it’d be a peel, I like the tingly feeling and how smooth your skin looks after.

I have a love/hate relationship with AmorePacific eye cream and throat cremes. Love their Color Control Cushion Compact with SPF 50+, great sunscreen is one of life’s necessities if you want to reach age 50 without looking like a dried up raisin. Love, because they work so remarkably well; hate, because frankly, they are breaking the bank. Love BHA 9 by Paula’s Choice, teamed up with a great vitamin “c” serum – Paula’s or Azure Naturals.

At my age I can use all the help I can, and Peter Thomas Roth Neuroliquid truly changes my texture , pores and complection . It’s expensive but I love it .
Plus Ole Henriksens entire line, but the ultimate lift eye gel works fabulous to tighten and reduce puffiness!

Moisturizer! It always makes my skin feel and look much better. I also generally put some cosmetic oil on over the moisturizer to help “seal” it in. I do this morning and night and I think it really helps my skin.

A good exfoliator – like Paula’s Choice 10% weekly peel or her new Clinical retinol cream serum. They REALLY work on my skin. A friend asked what I had done over the weekend as my skin was absolutely glowing today. Love her stuff.

Still in search of a good eye cream. Love La Mer for a night cream, but I just can’t afford it full time. Just ran out of my samples and I have a sad.

My favorite type of skincare product would have to be a fabulous, good-for-your-skin natural scented facial moisture mist (spray), because you can use it anytime for moisture/mood boost, freshen-up, an “ahhhhh” moment as you inhale deeply for relaxing quick time-out. It’s both a mind/body experience. Kerstin Florian Neroli Water is my favorite.

I’d have to add I also really enjoy using a good, soothing lip balm (though not petroleum based!), and I love to use a deliciously scented body butter/cream/lotion, especially on my hands. One of my faves is the classic Bliss Lemon and Sage, a herbal type of scent.

And then there are the lovely facial oils, or how my face feels so amazingly soft and smooth after I use a good exfoliating product like Vasanti BrightenUp! which is both a manual/physical exfoliator (microderm crystals), and chemical exfoliator (papaya enzymes) if you let it sit for a bit before you wash it off.

I won’t even get started on the skincare products that actually help repair and prevent damage… this is turning out to be a more difficult question than I thought it would be! ;-D

I’ve been using the Estee Lauder Soft Clean Moisture Rich Foaming Cleanser and I love it! You only need the tiniest bit, it makes a lovely, rich foam, and takes everything off (except maybe waterproof eyeliner), it doesn’t leave my skin dry, and I’ve come to like the way it smells too!

It’s funny because I’ve never cared for Estee Lauder skincare due to their strong fragrance – even many of her cosmetics for the same reason – and I’ve never been a fan of foaming cleansers (I’ve been using DHC cleansing oil for years). I got it as a GWP a long time ago and put it away, then I grabbed it for a trip and fell in love. After I used up the GWP, I tried to find the full size. Evidently it seemed to have been discontinued for awhile, and I was really bummed, but now it’s available online from Estee Lauder, Saks and Nordstrom’s, brought back due to popular demand I guess. So YAY!!! IDK if the bricks & mortar stores have it though.

Anyway, you might want to try it when you run out because it’s $5 cheaper too.
