Most disappointing holiday collection so far? I’m disappointed in Mac’s holiday collection- I was hoping for a shimmery cool toned blush, and I know a lot of people loved too faced’s palette, but I found it to be dupable and disappointing too.

Favorite holiday collection so far? Urban Decay! Even though the 2 eye liner collections were disappointing, I love the Vice3 palette and the Naked Illuminated Aura powder.

Oh I forgot! I’m also looking forward to picking up one of the Fresh sets. The skin-care all stars and sweet nudes sets both look good!

Holiday collection you’re looking forward to? I’m excited for the lipsticks in the MAC Heirloom Collection and it was recently announced that MAC is doing a Cinderella Collection. I’m super excited about that!
Most disappointing holiday collection so far? The Simpsons! There were no lipsticks! MAC seriously dropped the ball on that one.
Your skin tone/coloring: between fair and light, cool undertones with some golden tan overlay
Favorite holiday collection so far? maybe Urban Decay — I do want the Full Frontal Lipstick Stash set and am on the fence about Vice 3 — I adore the color Dragon, love the color Sonic, and am attracted to several other colors in the palette — at least it’s not as dark a palette as Vice 2, which is a bit difficult for me to use ‘cuz it’s so dark and kind of big and clunky, too, to be pulling out additional palettes to make it work…
Holiday collection you’re looking forward to? maybe Laura Mercier — at least I’m interested in looking at both the ‘Into the Wild Book Collection’ and the mini Caviar Stick Eye Shadow Quartet. The Make Up Forever Studio Case is calling out to me.
Most disappointing holiday collection so far? I am mostly disappointed in almost all of them. Most of the eye shadow palettes seem to be collections of mostly warm neutrals with one or two actual colors thrown in — and what I really love are bright, vibrant, unusual colors. Most of the lip sets have too many light colors or nudes, neither of which work for me — I don’t mind a set with one miss that I can pass on to someone else, but when at least half the set is a miss, I’m just not interested.

â– Favorite holiday collection so far? Maybe the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick sets? I’ve always wanted to try them and this seemed like an inexpensive way to get varied shades. I also discovered an awesome little LM set on Macy’s website (the Flawless Face Book in Nude had all the colors I wear from the brand!) that includes a compact tinted moisturizer in Nude, a Secret Camouflage in SC-2, a pressed mineral powder in Real Sand and a Secret Concealer. CAN’T WAIT TO GET HOME!
â– Holiday collection you’re looking forward to? I was looking forward to the pigment sets by MAC but… they seem disappointing. I am excited for the NARS though! The lip pencil set and the Corsica gloss… I NEEDS IT.
â– Most disappointing holiday collection so far? Not speaking about the collection as a whole, but most disappointing has been the Lorac Mega Pro. Total fiasco.

Looking Forward To: All of the mini lippies. All of them. I’m sure my friends are looking forward to stocking stuffers of all the mini shades I didn’t want to keep.
Dissapointing: Too Faced. Meh.

Holiday collection you’re looking forward to? NARS Hardwired, I guess. I’m just not really feeling the whole holiday collections this year. It feels like a lot of brands cheaped out, quality-wise, and/or the colors are uninspiring.
Most disappointing holiday collection so far? Most of them, to be honest. I guess the worst so far: MAC Keepsakes and the Kat von D Star Studded Eyeshadow Book.

Most disappointing holiday collection so far? Honestly, I’m a lil bit disappointed with the Hourglass Blush palette. Not because the quality isn’t great, but because the palette contains two blushes I already own. I know it’s my own fault for purchasing the blushes back in January when they were newly released, but why can’t they bring out all new shades in an LE palette? I think it’s just annoying. I would’ve waited for the palette & skipped out on the full sized versions had I known (but maybe I should’ve guessed/ waited as the blushes were made permanent).
I’m also disappointed that it’s difficult to get the Lorac Mega Pro palette since I’m in Canada!

Favorite holiday collection so far? I just bought the Benefit blush set at Ulta, so I guess that one. Went in for lipliner, came out with lipliner, a shadow trio, and a whole lotta blush. 🙂

Most disappointing holiday collection so far? I don’t know… I haven’t bought much of them in the past, since I was always on the fence. Plus I buy makeups on a regular base, not just during holidays, so they don’t mean much to me unless there’s something very well made and packaging-wise collective like Guerlain, Chanel and so.

Most disappointing holiday collection so far? So far Bite, the colors in their lip pencils look reeeall similar to last years. I would have bought them if they were a little different.

Favorite holiday collection so far? Probably the Urban Decay one because I bought the Vice 3 palette, because I’m an insatiable fangirl and I love red and burgundy shades.

Most disappointing holiday collection so far? All of them to be honest (including Urban Decay’s). There were a few I wasn’t interested in anyway, but even for the collections I was really intrigued by, there seems to be a bit of a quality drop. Not much has really wowed me compared to last year.

Favorite holiday collection so far? I was very pleasantly surprised by the Urban Decay Vice 3. I’ve been using it every day since I got it!
Holiday collection you’re looking forward to? I should be getting my Lorac MegaPro any day now and although I’ve heard mixed reviews, I’m still really excited to try it out. I also picked up the Tarte Chic to Cheek blush set today at Ulta and I’m looking forward to trying all of them!
Most disappointing holiday collection so far? I got the Hourglass Ambient Blush Palette and all three of the shades are too light for my skin.. I also wanted to get the Nars blush palette but I already own Deep Throat and the other three shades don’t appeal to me which is a big letdown for me because I’m a blush addict and have been looking forward to a good Nars palette all year!

Most disappointing holiday collection so far? Tarte: same old same old, Guerlain: everything seems very dupable, it’s just not very exciting.
I’m looking forward to seeing the Holiday ‘Blockbuster’ set that Lauder puts out every year. Since they changed their direction (artistry wise) and have been upgrading their core color line (Pure Color), I’ll be interested to see what they put in this year’s kit.
I’m also interested in seeing what Lancome puts out, since they, too, started putting out ‘Blockbuster’ kits, too.

Make Up For Ever Studio Case – It’s a bulky case for one shadow palette and I think the colors are similar (or even the same) as the ones they’ve used in several other collections. I wouldn’t want to pay for a train case with drawers that fit only particular, trial-sized items.

Fairest neutral, Illamasqua Skin Base SB02, MUFE Mat Velvet + #15 or Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation 001.
Favorite holiday collection so far?
It has to be the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box O’ Blushes since I forked out the money for it. I’ve used it every day since then and I’m liking it a lot. 🙂
It’s a shame that CORALista isn’t the same colour as the original but despite that I still like it.
Holiday collection you’re looking forward to? The Nars lip pencil set (I forget the name) looks quite promising but I really want to get my hands on the new Guerlain Rouge G in Rouge Parade. It looks gorgeous and it’s in my favourite formula so I can’t not get it! I tend to love the Shu Uemura palettes too so chances are I’ll pick up something from the Shupette collection too.
Most disappointing holiday collection so far? I’m not sure that there’s anything I’ve wanted that I’ve really been disappointed with but although I like the Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy lipstick formula I think the miniature collection they came out with just wasn’t worth the money I spent. The lipsticks really are tiny and even though they are handy for travel and a chance to try a few colours in that range I just think that you don’t get much at all for your money. I just couldn’t help myself since I’m drawn to anything I consider cute, which includes mini versions of makeup products. If I could rewind back to that day in Boots I’d give it a miss, not least of all because I have far too many lipsticks as it is. :S
