Haul: I’ve been very good about not buying makeup so I can save for LA IMATS. Plane tickets are not cheap! All I did was buy new cleanser (CeraVe Hydrating) because I’ve run out of cleanser. Replacing empty necessities are allowed. And cleaning my face is necessary! And Lypsyl lip balms are 99c at Walgreens this month, so I used change to pick one of those up since I’m almost out of Jack Black and that’s expensive. (Long answer. Just… justifying my purchases here, lol.)
Weekend plans: I’m hoping to start filming my Deaf Awareness Week video which I’ve been trying to plan all week and should’ve already started filming since the week is THIS WEEK, but I’ve been sick with a cold and now, I’m going through the hack coughing phase so even that’s a filming issue. So I might just stick with editing my September Favourites and filming the rest of my lipstick collection since I mute that and just put in music anyway. And then keep checking my list for my video to make sure I have everything.
Favorite ice cream flavor?: Coffee and mint chocolate chip!

Haul: A bunch of indies. Some Cocoa Pink hair products, Deconstructing Eden perfumes, Life’s Entropy test tubes (like the mix-your-own OCC lip tar idea, but affordable), nail polishes by Indigo Bananas and KBShimer, and the Dryades collection by Aromaleigh (which has been wonderful since new management took over).
Weekend plans: heading down to the Outer Banks for family vacation. Well. They get a vacation. I get to look at the beach from our beach house while I work on Halloween jewelry, because I am too busy for a vacation right now.
Favorite ice cream flavor?: Mint chocolate chip or chocolate chocolate chip!

Weekend plans: Going to Uplugged Expo on Sturday to take photo’s basically of my costume. I wonder if I should visit the Sephora in the Eaton Centre to freak people out while in costume. lol
Favorite ice cream flavor?: Jamoca Almond Fudge from Baskin Robbins. I basically like anything with chocolate or peanuts butter though. lol

He’s actually younger than Mellan by only a few months! He used to be bigger than Mellan (more tank like), but they slimmed him down recently!

Haul: I got two of Tarte’s Butter Lipsticks, and I’m really loving them.
Weekend plans: I am starting my work-sample for student teaching on Monday, so I have some preparation things to do.

My Tom Ford Silvered Topaz quad came in! I LOVE it. The quality is fantastic.
I also managed to get ahold of Nude Dip, but it doesn’t ship until Sept 30th. It actually looks as though I may be getting my original order through Nordstrom as well, but that one is going to somebody I know that got her order cancelled on her.

Haul: NYX soft matte lip creams to increase my collection – shades: Copenhagen, Transylvania, Zurique, Prague and Ibiza; Nyx butter lipsticks in Pops and Hunk; Nyx blotting powder and Nyx Minaral Stick Foundation, pick a dark color cause I´m planning to use as a contour.
Weekend plans: Stay in home, catch up american fall season series. So many great new shows!

I have been feeling uninterested in everything lately. Felt disappointed about the Gucci products and so the only thing I got was Nars Audrey Lipstick. Oh, yeah, I got two of their eyeshadows…Desdemona and Andromeda. I keep buying Nars for some reason.
No plans for this weekend but trying to relax a bit. Stress is going to kill me. Planning on return to my yoga routine for the same reason.
Favorite flavour… Raspberry sorbet, green tea, and orange with ginger. Dulce de leche too.

Yes I have… Is weird cause I kinda hate Nars, but keep getting stuff and loving them, so I guess is winning me over.
I worry too much, I take everything too seriously and finally my body gave me the bill over it. Badly… So either I chill, either I chill. Yoga has helped before, so will change my rutine so I can enjoy at least 45 minutes to myself every morning before the sunrise… Is a little effort, but I think is worthy. Thanks for asking, honey. I guess it was a wake up call. And am happy it happened now and like this.

Haul: Ambient Blush palette, Clinique Black Honey Affair eyeshadow palette, Julie Hewett eyeshadow palette in Swept Away (exclusive to Cult Beauty), and ordered some things from the new Illamasqua collection which have to yet to arrive. And I just ordered the red Louboutin nail polish!
Weekend plans: Continuing to work on the website I’m developing, volunteering at the Humane Society with the husband, and cleaning my bathroom – it’s reached critical mass! :-p
Favorite ice cream flavor?: A hot fudge sundae!
LOL! My husband is 1) thankful that most of my makeup is in a secondary bathroom, 2) we have a lot of counter space and two sinks, so that he can have his area clean.
My husband and I are both very thankful we can each have our own bathroom!
Haul: I did some major damage by my standards! Finally got my my first sephora online order which took about two weeks. It included sephora pro precision blush brush 73 and a pro concealer brush blus a bonus smashbox bb cream sample I can’t wait to try. From MAC: Mineralize skin finish, pro longwear eyeliner in “rich experience,” pro long wear concealer, rebel lipstick and Rihanna viva glam 2 gloss (which went so great with rebel!). I tried to buy a NARS audacious lipstick but about half of them (including Anna) were sold out at two different sephora locations. Maybe that will be next week when the hourglass blush palette becomes available to everyone!
Weekend plans: cleaning and organizing to get wedding gifts put away 🙂 And start plotting Christmas gifts.. I want to buy the UD lipstick set for someone since I have too many already!

I’m glad Lorac can live up to their rep. I actually bought the Plum Skinny palette, because: plum and burgundy. It actually had a good texture, too. Not as good as Pro2, but oodles better than Skinny and Navy Skinny (not that they were terrible). If I do Lorac in the future, I think I’ll stick with their regular offerings, though, and not promotional stuff like the Skinnies.
One of my big fears with blogging about products that people may actually buy is just the idea that someone may buy something off my recommendation and HATE IT! and I know that it comes with the territory and that sometimes it happens (I hate things that others love, so I know how it goes). But… I don’t want anyone to waste their money!
I don’t have the Plum one, though I liked the neutral one. Didn’t like Navy – definitely felt like a cheaper offering.
Oh, gosh, I would never get mad at any one about something like that. I got a good deal on the Pro2, and I wanted to try it. No one is responsible for what I buy but me.

Is this your first Hourglass brush?
Yes, it is. I just received it yesterday (ordered it online), and on first impressions, I’m loving it so far. It’s quite dense and tapered. The handle is a decent mostly even weight. The handle looks a bit like tom ford’s brush handles.
Hourglass’ brushes definitely remind me of Tom Ford’s aesthetic!
Haul: Two Makeup Forever Eyeshadows (Reptile #628 and Taupe Grey #S556), MAC Captive lipstick (how have I missed having this in my collection), Sephora Matte Green Retractable Waterproof Eyeliner and a new serum from Jouviance, a fabulous Canadian skincare company. Also got my birthday prezzie from Sephora, which was a nice little treat and a few great samples of fragrances from Aerin.
Weekend plans: not too much – just the gym and yoga and maybe making a big batch of soup and a big batch of chili

Haul: Got some Morrocanoil hair cream for wavy/curly hair which I’m using for the first time today. Hard to say if its working or not as my hair is still damp (as i write). Am quietly optimistic as my hair is fine (but there’s a lot of it) and usually by now my mop has started to morph into a dandelion but…. so far my curls seem to be defined without the frizz. Long may this last! Also got an eyeshadow quad from Chanel the name of which escapes me but its got some silver, a shimmery green and an even darker green in it as well as a pink.
Weekend Plans: Got some friends coming to stay for a week. Will be frantically running about house dusting,tidying and vacuuming. Must check cutlery drawer to see if there are any crumbs in it! (don’t you hate when that happens!)
Favourite ice cream flavour: As a child growing up in the UK it used to be Tutti Frutti but as it doesn’t seem to be around anymore (certainly not here in NZ anyway) I’d go with Mint Choc Chip flavour!

It’s so hard to type anything, when you keep going back to mellan + that adorable teenager. They are yellow perfection. One of my coworkers was at a restraint training recert today + showed me a pic of her new chocolate. She had to put her young GR down in Dec + they didn’t make the year’s mourning. The chocolate is a rehome via her GR’s therapy dog organization, belonged to a family that had to move out of the country + did not want to put the dog through the quarantine. Her great luck!
No buys, but RHPS is coming soon! My dogs like any flavor (except restricted chocolate,) but they usually get frosty paws. My overall favorite is coffee, followed closely by chocolate. But strawberry, when it is homemade, is heavenly. Trader Joe’s brought me back to vanilla. Theirs rules. oddly enough, i just don’t care for the TJ chocolate ice cream, (but go for the big Belgian bars + the chocolate pudding instead.) Forget mooning about RHPS, i think i’m up for a Trader Joe’s sweets haul! Yeah!!!

Haul: We went to Solvang yesterday and I bought a tiny angel carved out of what appears to be moonstone, a small, black lucky cat with a gold… dragon?… on its tummy, a cute, little, cloisonne and metal lucky fish that wiggles when it dangles, and a Slap Chop to make the chopping of ingredients (the parsely!!!) for Swedish Meatballs a little easier. Oh… and I also bought the Smashbox
Santigolden Age Eye Shadow Collage in Apocalypse Now (haven’t opened it yet), a Sephora eyeliner in Surfer Babe, six of the Milani Belle Eyes shadows, and two L’Oreal liners.
Weekend plans: NOTHING!! I’m going to be resting and recovering from all the activities this past week! It was nice meeting and getting to know my oldest daughter’s boyfriend. We REALLY like him! He fit in perfectly with the family… which means he’s a bit goofy, too! =)
Favorite ice cream flavor?: Coffee Toffee from Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab.

Haul: I bought a Revlon Colorstay eye liner in Jade, and really liked it! The color is more of a deep olive green than what I would call jade, but it has a sharpener on the end as well as a smudge sponge thingy. I had a coupon for free mascara with the purchase of the eye liner, so I got a tube of Revlon Bold Lacquer Mascara, haven’t opened it yet but I can always use another mascara. My favorite product of the week was unexpected. Milani Cosmetics is having a 30 day contest for their new eye shadow line, you can enter the contest every day by answering a trivia question and then they pick 300 winners per day to get the color of the day. I actually won at some point this month, I got the mail and was surprised to find a package containing a new eye shadow! It is Bella Khaki, probably not a color I would have bought but surprisingly good. It is a deep olive green with lots of gold in it, and their new formula is wonderful, richly pigmented and buttery soft. I was really impressed with this eye shadow, and have a list of colors I am planning to pick up on my next trip to Walgreens or CVS, depending on who has it on sale this week. 🙂
Weekend plans: working, trying to catch up on sleep although I am always behind.
Favorite ice cream flavor?: Mint chocolate chip at the moment!

Haul: Milani’s Bella Eyeshadow in Bella Khaki (I already have Bella Taupe) and a Color Statement polish in Mauveing Forward. I’m waiting to get my order of theBalm items from HauteLook. 1/3 of my order shipped today…woo hoo!
Weekend plans: spend time with my fiancé during his birthday weekend! (Dinner date last night, spa day today)

I got the Dior 5 Couleurs Pied de Poule palette– new– but at a nice discount on EB. Sprang for the Armani Brow Maestro in Light Brown and loving it. My brows are so light that anything darker looks grim. Got Marc Jacobs blush in Shameless which is light and working better with the deeper eye makeup of fall.
Weekend plans: Just drove up for to the ocean for a week off season. Lots of work projects to do.
Ice cream favorites: Coffee and Mint Chip and I also love those Vanilla and chocolate swirl soft serves.

Haul: Marc Jacobs Parisienne palette, a lot of Korean skincare & fun makeup to try, with benefits, Rhianna viva glam 2, both items, my NARS Jardin Perdu arrived, 🙂 , IOPE cushion, a cushion from most places with different benefits to try, the entire tonymoly petit bunny gloss bar line, lip tints and creams in LE fun colors.. So much, and many lovely samples!
Weekend plans: Handle the monthly period, it's a KILLER, try to catch up with some friends, sleep, read, look for more books, and watch movies.. Eat.. Drink.. No alcohol though. (I'm quite anti-alcohol. Very few exceptions..)
Favorite ice cream flavor?: It's not ice cream, but similar section.. Guanabana sorbet! And I love pure coconut ice milk 🙂

Oh, Christine, it’s perfect! 😀 As his shades are, there’s a surprisingly amazing complex & uniqueness to every stunning color! I feel I really would like them all! (Want, not need, this as a favorite for sure!) Iridescence of the unicorn unicorn colors are making their ways back! (They never left) 🙂 <3 xoxo
A bit late with my net social life, trying to catch up. I guess that’s part of my weekend plan along with cleaning, some of it done, did the oven yesterday. Not fun, but one has to do it. Other than that, I have to pay the bills. Scary, that 🙂
Haul, nothing this week, trying to save up for the important hauls of NARS lipsticks, MUFE eyeshadows and MAC LEs along with holiday sets.
