A bright lip and a bit of sparkle is a must for me. One of my favourite party looks is MACs Reflects Antique Gold glitter on the eyes, smoked out with black (sometimes even navy!) eyeshadow and liner, and a matte cream coloured eye shadow on the browbone, MACs Beet lip pencil and Girl About Town lipstick on the lips, and bronzer on the cheeks. And of course black mascara, false eyelashes… all that good stuff! 🙂

On the eyes, golds, silvers, deep purples … I like wearing falsies too, just to accentuate the outer corner of my eyes :p and on the lips I love reds and baby pinks :p

Green and white eye shadow with red lips. Now I do green and charcoal classic smokey eyes but still red lips. Always red during Christmas season.

I love wearing shimmery, eye catching looks. After all, the holidays are all about glitz, right?

Actually my favorite color this season is a dark metallic teal- perfectly manifested in MACs Deep Blue Green pigment!

I am really trying to focus on the lip area this time. So just some gold and brown eyeshadow and berry lips. I got a makeover recently at mac and he used currant Lip Pencil and lipglass decorative. It is a powerful combo so maybe I will soften it a bit. but this is my inspiration.

Shimmery eyes with super glossy lips or glittery eyes with a creamy finished lip colour. A no fail favourite for me is smokey eyes and pale nude lips. But over all I love a bit of shimmer, glitter and shine for the holidays.

Holiday makeup is always really fun. I like smokey eyes in any colour, especially gold, green and purple. Dark smokey eyes and nude or pink lips. And the usual red lipstick. If I’m wearing blue or green, bronzer, peachy blush and coral lips are a great low-key look.

Black smokey eye with glitter using NARS nightbreed or MAC gilt by association and MAC’s reflects antique gold. Peachy lips and vanilla pigment highlighter and of course falsies!

I think rich, redish looking lips are great for the holidays.

As for eyes, I keep it neutral every day at work but at night I like smokey eyes with a touch of silver, green or burgundy.

I was going to comment on a look then I was struck by something…I saw a comment saying the Holidays are about glitz aren’t they? I suddenly feel really sad. The holidays are not about glitz…I am sad that is where the world stands today.

My fave looks during the year end season are full of golds, silvers, sparklies!
btw, love the pigments from the holiday collection. The colours are so-so this season!

I am like you, gold/copper eyes and bronze/red lips definitely! I also like doing taupe smokey eyes with red or berry lips. I also love using MAC’s Reflects Gold glitter to liven things up a bit. =)
