TV show I can’t get enough of: CORONATION STREET! I’ve been watching it for decades and while it’s got a lot less “down to earth”, it is still wonderful. Of course, Outlander (saw ep. 1; can’t wait for the next one!)

Yes, I’ve read them all, though I enjoyed the first one most of all. Eventually, Claire and Jamie and their almost super-human abilities and strength and intuition and all the rest became a bit tiresome but the first book, I just loved (though Ms. Gabaldon needs a variety of verbs to use in addition to “cupping”). I’ve always been fascinated with henges and so the premise of this henge being a gateway into the past (for those so gifted with the ability to time-travel) had me hooked. It’s MAC’s A Tartan Tale with love, lust, adventure, romance, intrigue and history!
You get a medal for reading them all, too 😉 Those books are intimidating!
The Outlander series is every bit as good as the books so far, maybe even better. Don’t miss it.

Haul: Finally got my UD lipsticks! Loving Fiend, which was a last minute add in to get a discount. I also got Rapture, which I like and Lovelight which I’m not so sure about so far (I think I might like it more in summer when I wear less makeup). I also got the Hourglass Ambient palette (the SA where I shop is really good at talking me into stuff I’m uncertain about buying…). I love Dim and Incandescent, but Radiant is very pigmented on me which was unexpected. It’s really a bronzer on my skin tone. It might also be something that’s more of a summer thing.
Weekend plans: Basking in the comforting feeling of having no more immediate Uni assessments. Helping my husband pick a business suit too, hopefully.
TV show: It’s been so long since I had a chance to watch much TV, the only show I always seem to end up watching is one about air-disaster investigations. It’s making me and hubby too scared to fly though 😉

I really wanted to buy them from Nordstrom (free samples+ebates cash back) but I heard they’re not showing up there until Sunday and I am impatient/paranoid. I also decided against Shitake lipstick for now, and have to pass on the That Trillion Dollar Look quad, because I still don’t have a job and need to buy things like jump ropes and groceries. Pbbbt!
Weekend plans: My parents left for a mini-vacation yesterday, so my boyfriend and I have the house (and kitchen!) all to ourselves–“Simpsons” marathon on FXX, not having to wear clothes, and cooking tasty meals (already made breakfast today!). Monday I might go to my uncle’s house because he always has something going on for every holiday.
TV show: Well right now, “The Simpsons” :p So much nostalgia and “Ooooh, I did NOT get that as a kid” going on. This marathon is also reminding me how much of an inspirational role model and imaginary like mind Lisa has been for me since I was a little kid. But I am very eagerly awaiting the returns of “The Walking Dead” and “American Horror Story: Freak Show” in the fall…and fall itself…
Nordstrom usually gets the collection a few days after MAC does (because MAC has been releasing collections online a week early through their own site), unfortunately!

Sailor Moon Crystal. I’m pretty sure that my makeup journey began with watching the original show when I was 12. Watching this revival made me realize I need to do an entire series of eye shadow looks based on all the sailor senshi. [Can hear 12 year old me squee with glee.]

Haul: I ACTUALLY bought some of the new LE MAC stuff: Pink Cult and Next to Skin blushes (I have Taupe already), Shitake, 2 Icons (it looks so pretty), Stony and Marsh eyeshadow and some favorite lipsticks that I’m almost out of: Smoked Purple and Violetta. I also got the two blushes and nail stickers from The Simpsons collection and the new Studio Sculpt Defining Powder (is this new?! I don’t recall seeing it so I thought I’d snag it). This weekend I want to keep my eyes out for a really nice – expensive – face powder. Just cause I want one (it’s my birthday). Any suggestions? I know you love that Guerlain one… but does it have fragrance?
Weekend plans: It’s my BIRTHDAY (dance, dance, dance) on Saturday and I need to have some fun. It’s a requirement. Since it’s also a three day weekend and today is Friday I have declared that my birthday is a four-day event. Tonight I’m going out to dinner and seeing Boyhood (which I am VERY excited about – have you seen it? It looks very interesting)! This weekend – I’ve been told – has multiple options and what happens for the rest of each day depends on which direction I choose to go in the morning… so it’s kind of like a “choose your own adventure” birthday.
What TV show can you not get enough of right now?: Now that True Blood is all over 🙁 I don’t know! I JUST finished the second season of House of Cards and I officially want to be Robin Wright when I grow up. It’s an amazing show and she is the definition of poised. I don’t watch a ton of reality TV but I have been addicted to Bring It (DD4L!!!) and I’m wildly excited that they made a summer season so I get to watch new episodes.
I was so surprised that the blushes stayed in stock for so long. Just… so surprised.

Every Guerlain powder I have ever tried has had fragrance. I know if you leave them open long enough, it dissipates, but they have them. I don’t notice it as much with the Les Voilettes powders, more so with Meteorites and their Terracotta ones.

TV Show: The final season of The Killing (former AMC show.. dropped once, picked back up, dropped a second time and then picked up by Netflix). I freaking love this show.. never understood why it wasn’t more popular. The finale had me bawling like a baby.
Just really watching a lot of Netflix programming: Orange is the New Black, The Fall, House of Cards, and Happy Valley. Netflix is the best under 10 bucks I ever spend in a month.

Berner: swell! What a great breed. Three of the four Swiss Mountain breeds have hit it big in the US, all except the Appenzeller. Entlebucher is more my size, but the coat and personality of the Berner are both gorgeous. Are you up to four, now? Envy Envy ….memories. So many great dogs, so little time.

Haul: I only bought Urban Decay Ink for Eyes pen liner because the Ulta I went to was out of the other things I wanted. There are like three other Ultas in town, but I didn’t feel like driving around.
Weekend Plans: Relax. I’ve had a really stressful week so all I want to do is lie in bed, read a book, and be lazy.

Haul: Dior mascara, Sephora nail polish in Obsessed, St. Tropez gradual tan lotion in light/medium, backups of my fav Oribe shampoo and conditioner, Urban Decay lipgloss in Midnight Cowboy (plus the 100 pt Smashbox primer sample which I’m pretty excited about trying!), and waiting for my Sleek order: Face Form kit in Light. Planning on picking up some Ardell 110 lashes, L’oreal liner pencil and liquid liner, a Nyx Wonderpencil and a couple Maybelline stick foundations for contouring.
Weekend plans: Going out on a dinner date with my ex-boyfriend who might become my current boyfriend (fingers crossed). On Sunday, we’re going to the state (Minnesota) fair which is a huge deal here, and I can’t wait to stuff my face with cheese curds, turkey legs, Big Fat Bacon(!), corn on the cob, etc.

Haul: MAC Taupe blush (Yay!) and Lorac Pro 2. I was planning the Taupe purchase, but Pro 2 was an impulse. I saw Noveau Cheap’s post about the deal to get it for $22 and I had it in my cart and purchased within five minutes. I swear my fingers were moving before my brain even caught up!
Weekend Plans: Date night with hubby tomorrow! Relax and do some cleaning and organizing Sunday or Monday. I figure since I have a long weekend I may as well make some constructive use out of it!
What TV show can you not get enough of right now?: Gosh… Well, me and hubby just finished watching all of the seasons of Scrubs, save for the last season. After the ending of the second to last season, I just do not see why they had to go on and make another one! We are still going between Netflix and Hulu trying to figure out what to watch next.

Haul: I had my birthday recently and was gifted the ysl couture palette in 5 (the purple one), a chanel rouge allure luminous intense lipstick in rouge noir, 4 nail polishes, a little hand carved wooden shell, the sephora bday beauty insider mufe duo, making faces by kevyn aucoin, a couple cute mugs, a burgundy cardigan with black polka dots, and a bottle of wine. Feeling very lucky and grateful.

Haul: OMG! My Fyrinnae UNICORN came in and it’s MAGICAL!! WOW.. Are all Fyrinnae products so good?! I’m really into ethereal themes and this is such a HG. I feel awesome having it, like blessed by a unicorn 😀 hehe! ^_^ MUG Vegas Lights palette, Oribe hair products, NARS Jardin Peru Eyeshafow duo, Tony Moly haul, MIZON haul, Cure Natural Gel Exfoliator, Dr. jart’s Ceramidin, Skinceuticals phyto botanic serum, Pixi haul, vitamins, books, Urban outfitters Haul, and I think that’s it… With so much going on, it’s hard to keep straight!

Oh, and I don’t know how to answer many questions like what would I suggest.. Because I don’t know what the hypothetical person is like, and different products, brands, are more suitable for specific demographics of skin & makeup, so I keep silent as well not to persuade the wrong thing for one totally best with something much different.. My husband loves Seinfeld and has seen all the episodes a bajillion times, but this is my first time seeing it in order (I’ve seen some episodes)! 🙂 I don’t think I have too many awards!
Fyrinnae does a lot of very cool shades! I prefer their pressed stuff, just because it’s wayyy easier for me to use, but their loose eyeshadows are gorgeous as well (just make sure to grab Pixie Epoxy).

I don’t think Pixie Epoxy is necessary for the pressed version, though it definitely helps!
Happy long weekend, lovely (If you’re in the US!)! I did read the Divergent books before the movie (well, Allegiant was published after the movie was announced) and I think it was pretty faithful to the book. I was disappointed there was no chasm (or no water beneath it rather), the way they did Al’s death and especially how they didn’t really develop Al and Christina’s relationship in the movie. Other than that, I think Shailene and Theo played a great Tris and Four. I was very skeptical about that casting, but they pulled it off. And Kate Winslet was brilliant, of course (LOVE HER!). I didn’t see it in theaters because I kept hearing mixed reviews about it and I’m kinda glad. While it was close to the books, the book beats the movie/series almost every time and this was not an exception. Oh, I also imagined the Dauntless cave to be so much more rad. So rock and roll. lol

I saw the movie first, which was nice because it set the characters in my mind and set the backstory, which the beginning of the book doesn’t do as clearly in my opinion. I loved the movie and I applaud Theo James (Four/Tobias) & Shailene Woodley for wonderful adaptation! Totally agree! But I like the Eric in the movie better. He’s described soooooooooo differently in the book, and quite frankly I enjoyed looking at the other one more. Haha.. Let’s back get to Theo.. In the book, there was SO much more involved with his story as well as Tris and His story together, like the affectionate moments, which were nice because it showed the slow pace instead of jumping like in the movie, but what do you think was more effective in the differences, like the simulations being different from movie & book, as well as so much more.. I LOVED the book. I just wonder why so much altered, and did they have permission? That’s why the book is better! The descriptions of people so different though!!! Oftentimes I think they skeet and change the unnecessary and keep with things that aren’t as important to showcase I the film.. Like the colors. The divergent makeup thing, yeah I’m bitter I didn’t grab it, but it was a flop. Lastly, Tris is supposed to be meek, tiny, plain.. Shailene is beautiful, 5’8″ and though she’s great to watch as well as the chemistry with the others.. She seemed the attracting point to get people to see it.. In my opinion. I do love her though, as a person, apparently she’s like an honest Amity & Abnegation.. So wise beyond her years from a kick ass hippie home. I respect her and I could watch Theo James and listen to his accent EVERYDAY.. I’m such a cougar, lol. Are you excited for the rest of the movies? (Kate Winslet IS amazing. Was she pregnant in the movie? I kept thinking, “wear mascara,” but she always does her roles 100%. I was surprised to find her in the movie, pleased as well! I just watched The Other Woman last night and I expect yes more because the concept was great but they didn’t go THERE. OMG I’m writing a book. $22 for Lorac pro 2.., let’s be happy for those who found that deal as we also will find deals at times that others miss.. But I feel you. I have way too much stuff and I want to do makeup exchanges or sales but my mind gets confused by easy things. I wish @Christine would be able to open a safe place within Temptalia for us to do so. I don’t trust MUE, MUA STOPPED… eBay seems a hassle.. I don’t want to die a hoarder! I don’t even use it all, or even a handful! What I’ve used is barely touched minus some I obviously loved at a place in time but I think I would feel safe here. 😀 Enjoy my book, sorry lovely, and have a radiant day! 🙂
I KNOW!!! Theo was SO different from the Four in the book, but not in a bad way… HEHE! OMG DROOL HE’S SO YUM. Same with Tris. Shailene is not the actress I expected to play Tris, but she is just so badass! It could all be for show, but I think Shailene and Jennifer Lawrence are two of the realest actresses out there, I can’t get enough of them! I love the way they did the simulations! I just hated that they were shorter (like the aptitude ones were shorter than the book).

Put a little bit on the cheeks and any remaining on the lips. It’s a very nice shade of berry with a touch of shimmer.

Haul… Nars nail polish in Dark Room, Chanel Vernis in Dragon, TF quad in Silvered Topaz, and CeraVe cleanser and night cream as backups. Oh yeah… Also got Nars Night Flight. And Callisto, but returned it, was just to icy to me.

Haul: I just placed a modified MAC order; I grabbed Pink Cult, Taupe, Next To Skin, & Animal Instincts blushes-I had a few more items in there, but they’re all permanent, so I can wait… I also ordered some random brushes & a Real Techniques brush set off Amazon, along with a random concealer palette (to get free shipping, LOL!). I found NARS Belly Dance & MAC Taupe Shape on eBay, so I grabbed those, too…
Plans: Going to a mall, and getting my little one new shoes for school (she wore her Crocs all Summer, so i put off shoe shopping. Also, if we find anything she can pull off as a “uniform”; fortunately, her school os pretty flexible, and as long as it’s a white or blue top & blue bottoms, she’s good! I also want to find UD Naked2 Basics in-store.
TV Show: I’ve been catching up on reruns of The Middle; it never caught my interest over the last few seasons, but now that I’ve discovered it, I can’t stop watching! My real guilty pleasure, currently, os Dance Moms, though…

I even had a few eBay offers on my watchlist, just in case, LOL! I *almost* went ahead and bought them from one seller earlier in the week, but I’m glad I waited. They would have been around $30 each, which isn’t too bad, but the $20-ish I saved can go toward something else!
Haul: Er, (sheepishly) I ended up getting one of the new YSL eyeshadows (Love, I believe its called)and a dessin du regard waterproof eye liner, also by YSL, in Violet masse. Also received an order yesterday with some Jack Black moisturiser and some sunscreen for hubby (as he’s just had a nasty skin cancer removed from behind his ear, so now there’s no excuse for not putting sunscreen on!! Naughty boy.) plus 2 cle de peau lip glosses .
Weekend plans: Going out to dinner tonight at my brother in laws .

Haul, I ordered Sleek Arabian Nights and I have forgotten the name, Vintage something, and the RT version of the beautyblender earlier today.
I got some eyeshadows from MG earlier this week, Rockstar was one of them, and i think Beaches and Cream, Mermaid and Cinderella. I now have 9 MG eyeshadows, and I like all of them. I went against myself a bit with Mermaid,not a colour I generally go for, but it’s fun, I like it and I wore it today. Very summer-y.
Weekend plans relaxing and maybe clean the flat a bit.
TV show. I’m waiting for the shows to come back on, Now I just watch random episodes of reruns.

Haul: Nothing, yet. I have enough empties for 2 MAC lipsticks, so tomorrow I will be getting Flat Out Fabulous and Captive. If the counter has the lip palettes then I might get the Select Plums one, which then I would get Dark Side instead of Captive since it’s a part of the palette. Will be getting 35 lashes, too, cuz I’m obsessed with them.
Weekend plans: Fam time at the Italian Festival! Can’t wait for sausage and peppers, and lemon ice. Yum!!!
What TV show can you not get enough of right now?: I can watch Friends anytime it’s on! I just don’t get into many of the current sitcoms. Lately, when I see Full House is on, I will stop and watch. The big one, at the moment, Simpsons!! I don’t know why there’s a marathon station of it, but I’m ok with it.

Haul: I had some time off, what is not good for my wallet. I was tempted to buy a Tom Ford quad, but was really disappointed, because they looked a bit “dirty” and not as lovely as on the homepage. Then I decided to buy some Bobbi Brown products after a really nice time at the counter (Cream Shadow in Slate, Creamy Lip Color in Blue Raspberry, Black Mauve Gel Eyeliner, Sparkle Shadow in Pebble (lovely) and Ultra Fine Eye Liner brush) and Chanel Le Beiges Healty Glow Sheer Powder.
