Watch – I want to! Having a time piece you can discretely check is so much more polite then rumming around a pocket to check a phone. Haven’t found one that I love yet though. also, I hate washing your hands and then getting water under the band. Urgh!
Which liquids are you considering?
Possibly Maybelline Fit Me? I’m not overly worried about color matching since I figure I’ll keep using Meow on top as a powder and that is a perfect match for me. There’s also a L’oreal bb cream that I had a few years ago when I had a bit of a tan (so like from alabaster down to ivory, lol) and I’m wondering if I should figure on tanning a bit with all this sun.
I use that trick a lot, too! The powder helps the liquid match, lol!
■Haul: Just bought some of the Novel Romance collection lipsticks and glosses. Also cashed in some birchbox points to get a Caudalie skin care set for free!
■Weekend plans: making some homemade pumpkin spice syrup for my coffee. got the recipe from Bright Eyed Baker’s blog.

Do you have an assortment of watches or one go-to?
I normally wear a conservative silver tank or round face. I keep it classic with my jewelry during the week. I have been wearing a silver Michael Kors since December – an X-mas gift from the hubby. I know a lot of people look at their phone for the time but my watch is the first thing I look at.
I have a rose gold Michael Kors, but it’s sooo heavy!
Haul: MAC Style (which I’m wearing today and loving) and Cubic (I don’t know why I bought it, I went in to get Mocha or Desert Rose and got Cubic impulsively, so here’s hoping it looks good). Still waiting for my UD lipsticks to arrive and hoping they haven’t been lost in the post.
Weekend plans: I’ve got a date with three guys, Durkheim, Weber and Marx… Yay Sociology essays, not. Other than tying myself to the computer to type that out I hope I’ll get in a nice bush walk and some cooking.
Do you wear a watch: no. I don’t think I even own one anymore. I had a really cute Swatch watch when I was in my teens but I’m not sure what happened to it. I never found watches comfortable to wear and the Swatch one ticked very loudly, which everyone found annoying.
Fingers crossed Cubic works for you. I feel like if you like Style, Cubic should be okay 🙂
I love Mocha. It is one of my go-to shades. I also wear Desert Rose Cinnamon.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer since I have a Nordstrom gift card, but it’s too orange/dark so now I have to wait another two weeks for the item to go back once I ship it, then another week to process/get my gift card refund, and another week to get a new item. I’m almost at the point where I’m just gonna use up $70 in gas to drive to Nordstrom in Charlotte ‘cos i’m tired of waiting and I don’t want to wait another month lol
I don’t have any plans. Everything that could go wrong in life once again went wrong lol Especially with the car messing up again for the 39849248th time so no thanks. I’ll just edit videos like I usually do anyway lol

I wasnt going to buy anything makeup because im in serious need of good makeup brushes and was saving up for some hakuhodo but then the moody blooms collection came out, got 4 eyeshadows, then went to express and got a pretty black purse… So now have to start saving up all over again lol good thing is none of the upcoming collections really interest me apart from the pink cult blush from AW collection

Weekend plans: Hmm, not really sure. We’re planning to go see Guardians of the Galaxy tonight after work, and volunteering at the Humane Society tomorrow, but other than that, don’t know. I have been sick with the whooping cough (!) for the past two weeks, so hopefully I finally get a normal relaxing weekend!
Do you wear a watch?: I used to, but when I got a smartphone, I didn’t really need to anymore. I have a rose gold Fossil watch that I really should wear because it’s so pretty!

Do you wear a watch?: I can't! Every watch I've ever owned has stopped dead on me within a month or two. I can fix them, replace the batteries, anything, but they always stop. It's weird, but apparently not unknown. I've been told it has something to do with the pH in my skin.

I have a vague idea of what I want to come up with, something medium-deep and berry-ish. Sort of close to the colour of stewed beets, but a little lighter. I’m hoping the poor person assigned to work with me can make sense of what comes out of my head…

Do you wear a watch: Yep, everyday! My husband bought me a pretty Fossil watch when I graduated school last year. It is essential for my day at work for everything from facilitating group therapy sessions to checking the date! I have an iPhone, but I don’t like pulling it out in front of patients, even if I am just checking the date.

Possibly! He does eventually destroy them (or squeakers stop squeaky), so they get tossed. I have to keep myself in check and basically only buy toys when older ones are ready to be replaced!
Haul: MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus in NW10. I think N3 might be a better match though so I might exchange. NW10 is quite pink, and so am I, but not that pink. Also, Stila Stay All Day liquid lipsticks in Patina and Beso, and you know, I read the negative feedback but I don’t see why the hate. Lastly, I re-bought Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. I returned the last one, but now I changed my mind.
Plans for the weekend: Sit on my ass? Haha. Not feelin’ the plans this weekend. Nasty toothache anyway.
Do you wear a watch: Nope. I’ve tried, but my wrists are easily irritated, I don’t know why.

If I’m not mistaken, the Stay All Day Lipsticks do have that very long-wear, clingy liquid lipstick texture, which seems like a love/hate kind of feeling!

Haul: Just a replacement bottle of Avalon Organics Vitamin C gel cleanser and a leather and silver bead bracelet I ordered from Etsy. My Eco Emi box arrived yesterday.
Weekend plans: Lots of baking and making sweets. I sometimes wonder if I bake too many desserts, but when I don’t have any homemade treats in the house I get sad. Lol. I also want to visit a museum. Maybe the Museum of the American Indian tomorrow.
Do you wear a watch?: This question seems familiar. I think it was in a previous FHF. I don’t wear one anymore because my watch strap lost a link years ago and I never replaced it. During that time, I started to use my cell phone to find out the time, and I just never had a need for a watch after that.

This weeks haul: I went to Sephora and Ulta this week to satisfy my lemmings for fall nail polishes and lip colors.
Ulta – Essie np’s in Fall in Line, Style Cartel, The Perfect Cover Up and a free mini Shearling Darling.
Zoya np’s in Remy and Yuna.
Sephora purchases – BITE Beauty Matte Crème Lip crayons in Framboise and Aubergine, Hourglass 500 pt gift and a few samples.
Walgreens had the LE Wet n Wild lip crayons so I bought both colors.
Weekend plans – More shopping! I would like to get some scented candles from BBW and maybe some black wedge booties I saw on sale at Target. Also need to purchase more storage containers for all my makeup.
BTW – Mellan is so adorable – I love pictures of him with his toys!

I bought a new brand of shampoo & conditioner yesterday at the salon, by J Beverly Hills and received my MAC order, only one lipstick (Yield to Love)….but, I need to thank you for the review on it. I love it 🙂

Today, my All Cosmetics Wholesale order arrived. I shopped a sale, plus I got 10% off that. I bought an Estee Lauder Surreal Violet palette and Arctic Night (refills only – will put in Zpalette); MAC eyeshadow Purple Shower single; CK Calvin Klein blush; Smashbox Click You’re It Eye Palette; Clinique Strawberry Fudge Palette; Sinful Colors polish in Slate; 3 China Glaze polishes; UD Afterglow Cheek Tint; NARS polish in Orgasm and 4 other colors; 5 of the OPI Spider-Man collection. All for less than $117 USD, including shipping. I’m a happy girl! My kids were making fun of me for squealing when I opened everything.
Weekend plans: Hubby starts vacation this weekend. Saturday we’re taking our sons and maybe a couple of their friends to the Reptile Expo in Portland, OR. Then we’ll clean house and get ready for our trip later in the week. Our 23rd wedding anniversary is the 31st, and we’ve got a very nice hotel room booked later this week. It’s on the coast right next to the beach with a hot tub in the room. Oh, Yeah!
Watch: I rarely wear them. I have to have nickel free ones. Mostly, I just hate how they all feel on my wrist. I usually just use my cell phone, computer or car clock.

Weekend plans: CRAZY weekend – hosting a bridal shower tomorrow for my nephew’s future wife then rushing out as soon as the guests leave to attend a good friend’s 60th birthday party an hour away; staying overnight so that on Sunday, we can move my younger son home from his co-op job for a week before we move him back to university for his next term

Urban decay eyeshadow in Honey (finally tracked one down in UK on Amazon.Yay.) and Clarins mineral ombre eyeshadow in smokey plum. Also got (but haven’t used yet) some Rene Furturer shampoo and conditioner for curly, frizzy hair (I’d never heard of this brand before until I read a blog on it a couple weeks ago and thought I must give this a go as I’m sick of looking like a dandelion when its humid/damp.
Weekend Plans: Going out to dinner with some friends this evening. Maybe clearing out the garage of some junk (if I have enough energy).

Haul: A bit ago I did a huge haul and in not sure if I said anything but from that, the Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturizer in Vanilla is tested, used & PERFECT! HG! I realized that! And today.. So far.. I ordered NARS Jardin Peru Eyeshadow duo so it is on it’s way! OMG I can’t wait!
I did a HUGE iHERB Haul this week! All vegan organic, to die for yummy, snacks and munchies! HUGE HAUL. I’m thinking of trying LM silky Creme foundation… ???? Any thoughts? And Dr Jart’s Ceramiden Liquid & Creme. As well, re-ordering Oribe Haircare! And I picked up a small bottle of the pink Fresh Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil, another BITE Agave lip mask, and I’m loving the FAB Ultra Repair Cream for my hands from a haul I’m not sure I listed that came in a giant sephora box with the Agave Hair Trio set I’m loving too! I’m adding this in because I can’t remember at all if I mentioned anything the past month. One might assume I’ve been importing tiny children.. Lol
I LOVE the MUG VEGAS palette buttttt, and I hate it because it’s true, Kat Von D Shadeshifter Eyeshadow in Devotion gives that exact colored eye and dimension including all the shades in the palette once on.. And it’s all in one eyeshadow I bought!!!! I’m salivating over the makeup geek as I have none and the pigment looked crazy! Colors I loooooove with my blue/green/gray and amber eyes!!!!!!!!!!!! I did a preorder but I’m not certain how to proceed with this urge…. (I’m silently celebrating having the Stokholm Shadeshifter as well because it’s not being shown or sold anymore so I love all four! I still need to road test Eyeko Eye do products, mascara and liner, as well as play with hairties and time to get hair done.. This weekend I’ll be relaxing in and trying to make plans for these things and craving peach iced tea.
What’s a watch? I’ve had two I’ve loved more than I could ever love a watch but each unique as me watch broke and can’t be fixed and I’m not finding a third unique one. 🙁 I have a phone and bad eye site to check clicks with! 😀 I’m craving lemon squares. Have a super weekend!

Do you feel like the FAB cream holds up to hand washing?
🙂 YES!! It’s the, honest to god, only thing that I’ve felt a difference with and actually look forward to putting on every night! I wash my hands more than anyone I know and I got the $12 tube and it’s AMAZING. It doesn’t feel good once and fade, it absorbs, makes a difference, and the skin stays this way, at least for me it does, which means I finally have a working FAB, haha, hand cream! (My face does not like it.) since this is the haul section, I just added the Vegas lights palette & Fyrinnae Unicorn pressed eyeshadow. (Finally, right? ) YAY! Happy Saturday! I love you! Be well!!!
I will have to try the small tube and see how it works for me! Am always on the hunt for hand creams that still feel hydrating with a few handwashings. Some just slide away!
Haul: Eep, I went a bit crazy again this week…! Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume, YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in 16 Orange Impertinent, Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish in Porchester Square. It’s not a haul, but those purchases qualified me for VIB Rouge at Sephora, AND I cashed in some points for the amazeballs Origins 500 point set.
Weekend plans: Editing videos and (hopefully) taking blog photos on Saturday, then Glee club practice on Sunday.

Weekend Plans: writing papers, taking some photos for the blog if the weather permits, and ballet, obviously!
Do I wear a watch? No! I haven’t worn one in many years – they’re a pain under the gloves in a synthetic chemistry lab, and when you work with lasers you can’t wear any jewellery (including necklaces. bracelets etc) that could get into the beam, reflect it up and blind you (or someone nearby)… Safety first, scientists! ^_^ Fortunately, lipstick is always appropriate.

Haul: I went on a binge with drugstore products this week, and was happy with the results! I got a Revlon nail enamel in Urban, which is a great cobalt blue. I picked up Milani Infinite liquid eye liner in a vivid blue shade, and really liked it as well. I also picked up several items from E.L.F., one of my favorite brands, the Healthy Glow Bronzer in Sun Kissed, a bronzer brush and a eye shadow blending brush. I love this time of year, getting all of the September issues of my favorite magazines. Vogue, W, Harper’s Bazaar, I just can’t wait for Fall.
Weekend plans: Working, and a scary movie marathon.
Do you wear a watch?: Rarely. When I do, it is usually just as jewelry, I tend to forget to check the time on a watch. I always just use my cell phone. But I love the look of a nice chunky men’s watch, so it depends on the outfit.

Haul: Infusium 23 hair conditioner, Carol’s Daughter Hair Smoothie treatment, and one of those purple shampoos whose name I can’t recall right now. Bleached hair is expensive to maintain. :O

Haul: Nail polish, and before you ask again, Christine, I can’t remember all the polish I buy every week! I know I bought a China Glaze from The Giver collection, more A-England, and a Colors By Llarowe. Oh, I did buy Gelous gel coat. Tonight is my first time trying it. Let’s see if my Doctor Who mani survives a week. Rhinestones and all! 😀
Plans: Eye doctor visit and most likely Ikea again.
Watch: I haven’t worn one since Jr. High when it caused some weird fungus growth. It was gross and I swore off watches. Felt freeing.
How do you keep track of which polishes you’ve tried and which ones you need to wear?

I think most of my collection are untrieds. When I go through my Helmers, I have a good idea which ones I’ve used and which ones I haven’t.
Before my son, I did my nails maybe twice a month. After my son, I’m lucky I can do them once every two months. I can only do them past midnight, so most times I don’t bother.
Every few months I destash and give them away to family. 🙂

Haul, nothing, and I am so happy to say that, as it means I save to get the things I really want.
Weekenplans, it’s Saturday and I’ve been with my dog to a dogshow, (exhibition?) I met up with hiss breeders and a lot of other Schnauzer people. Saw some cute Affenpinschers and Miniature Schnauzers. I also saw Pinschers both standard and miniature. Tomorrow, Sunday I think I’ll relax and play some WoW and I have to do the laundry.
I do wear a watch sometimes, not very often though, and more as a bracelet, actually. I have quite a nice one that I like to wear.
Awwwwwwww! He is going to get a big ego from those types of compliments 😉
