They can really improve your look if you know how to use them correctly, but they’re easy to mess up if you don’t. I prefer a more subtle highlighter. Nothing that’s too obviously shiny or colorful.

One of my favourites is Albatross by NARS, and I just go their new multiple Luxor, which is beautiful too. I LOVE highlighters, but I dislike when they are too chalky, white or piled on. Or when they come with a heavy overspray so you can’t tell what the product is really like underneath.

i use this one from kohl’s that someone gave to me. it’s called american beauty luminous all over face glow or something like that.
it’s a really pretty peachy gold, and i just use a little on the temples, the bridge of my nose, and the apples of my cheeks.

Love love love face highlighters! My current favourite is One Hot Minute by Benefit. I’m an NC42 in MAC foundations and I just love the glow this gives me when applied lightly to certain areas of the face. I use the product with a MAC 165 (I think :-S) highlighter brush. Other times I like using a variety of MAC’s msf natural shades to sculpt and shape the face… one that matches my skin exactly to use all over, a shade lighter for highlighting and a shade darker for contouring. 🙂

I need a better one. I have MACS shimmer gold blush/highlighter, and its a bit warmer and glitterier than I’d like.

But then, I’m also lemming some decent new products for facial contouring. I really want to learn how to make my ginormous russian nose look normal.

LOVE face highlighters… I use Lorac Perfectly Lit Oil-Free Luminizing Powder for a nice glow; I usually put it high on my cheekbones, forehead, browbone, and inner corners of my eyes. I love that it makes me look more awake on the days where I really need a pick-me-up! Oh.. and I’m very fair-skinned, I use the shade Luminous.

I love highlighters! Life without them would be a lot more dull. 🙂 I own several of them (tens, don’t know exactly how many) and love them all. 🙂

i love highlighters but despise glitterbombs. A slight shimmer or nice iridescence is all that I really need.
I like liquid or cream highlighters the best because when I put my tinted moisturizer over them they look so natural, like my complexion naturally glows.

Ugh, I’m still trying to find a good one! Everything that is in my price range is too glittery. I can’t bring myself to splurge for a Dior Skinshimmer or Guerlain Meteorites because it’s not a major thing for me, but I do enjoy them from time to time. I had a MAC MSF Natural/Shimmer duo but my cat knocked that over. I still have a few pieces of the shimmer side I use and it’s pretty…but a bit too frosty. Checked out the Stila duo Sephora was selling wicked cheap yesterday…sparkly. Most MAC pigments that fit into the highlighter category are…sparkly. Can’t find something under $30 that is subtle and sophisticated. Any help? I want a powder.

I love them. Highlighting works wonders for my face. It wakes me up literally. Highlighting under my eyes…I can no longer go without doing this everyday. It’s funny because I must highlight, but I don’t have to contour. Odd.

I love subtle highlighters that give my face a nice, dewy sheen, but I hate the ones that are too glittery. They make my face look like a disco ball 🙁

For some reason, I really dislike frosty highlighters.
I use shimmery ones all the time, and it works great, but when I try and use frosty eyeshadows/highlighting powders, it just makes my face look greasy and shiny.

I generally like highlighters. Sometimes I even go sans blush and just use a pretty highlight. Though you have to apply properly because otherwise you look sparkly like a disco ball. My faves are Ms. Popularity by Benefit and Perfect Topping MSF by MAC. Though I am also loving sugarbomb by Benefit too. Thanks Christine for the review.
