If you could create a collection with any beauty brand, which brand would you pick?

Maybe Urban Decay, because I’d love to create an eyeshadow palette, and I love their eyeshadow formula in general. It would also mean that it would be more affordable. It would be really cool to collaborate with a luxury brand like Guerlain to create something high quality but also exquisitely packaged.

I’m with you, Christine…UD or Guerlain for sure. UD would be the perfect brand to go fun and wild with and working with their shadows and Revolution lipsticks would be a dream! But I’d love to help create some fun new things with Guerlain that are gorgeous and luxurious…I’d love to throw in some colors that I find lacking in their collections in general (needs more greens!) and how amazing would it be to collaborate on some Rouge Gs? To die for!

Urban Decay. I love color and I love their shadow and eyeliner formulas. Not a lot of companies do color really well, but I feel like I could do something that expresses me at a price point most could afford.

I would love to create a collection with either Wet n Wild or Butter London. I love Wet n Wild’s cosmetics, because hello cheap and great pigmentation for a drugstore product is always a win in my book. With Butter London I’d love to create a collection of winter shades, colors you’d see in Northern Michigan during the middle of winter at a ski resort or a snowmobile trail.

What a great question!

My vote is for NARS — they’ve got great creativity & still push the limits while maintaining their luxury status. You can count on NARS for quality, innovation, and beautiful items. They could definitely package something glamorous and do a great job marketing it!

If you asked me 10+ years ago, I would’ve shouted out MAC. I feel like the quality of their products no longer measures up (chalky blushes and dry lipsticks) and I don’t see the same innovation I readily see in other cosmetic companies. Their marketing and image making, if you will, is beyond compare, but I no longer feel the same love and dynamism behind their products, which is too bad. NARS for me is the grown-up version of MAC.

Hm, this is easy: Illamasqua. If for no other reason than to come up with a whacky theme (like fantasy mmo or something scifi) and see the awesome make up jobs for the campaign!

Definitely an indie company! It would ensure I end up with great quality product, personalization, and the best part? It’s plausible. 😉

I would love to create a collection with YSL or tomford, I love the quality of their makeup plus the super elegant packaging…♥

Urban Decay is a great option for creating a collection with. I’d also love to create something with Dior ‘coz I love their make-up products, specially the Diorskin Nude Foudation! Shade #020 matchs my skin tone perfectly, which is light and have neutral undertone. M.A.C is a good one too.

I looove MAC, but I think Too Faced fits my personality and such better! Their products are always so sugary sweet and have those quirky, cute or sexual names. It’s just perfect ♡♡ I’d probably release some colorful lipsticks (a light&bricht fuschia, a warmtoned midpink, a light corally orange, a neutral light purple, and a rich bright dark plum maybe) a bronzer/highlighter duo (with chocolate/vanilla scent) and an eyewhadowpalette with 3 neutrals, 3 jewels shades and maybe three bright or pastelly shades!

Illamasqua. I love their ageless beauty philosophy, their focus on creativity. I think they reach out to their customers in an open unbiased no-attitude kinda way. Some of the luxury brands still feel far too old school to me: in their campaigns, their promotional images, and even their snobbery. Hey, I love luxury as much as the next person, but the lines have become incredibly blurred and luxury is not always synonymous with quality, just some ridiculous sense of LE exclusivity. It completely turns me off along with the kind of people who tout it.

well on the high end line it would have to be a line of new shades with the Tarte amazonian blushes but I think I would like to pair up with Maybelline and have a line that could be accessible to everyone and be affordable. They have the right idea with The Nudes palette and Id love to put together my favorite shades both natural and brighter colors.

NARS or Kat von D; both do fun, creative, edgy colors, but still maintain a “grown-up” appeal. Although I prefer NARS overall, I would have to lean more toward KvD, only because I can’t recall an actual “collection”, with a color story, so I’d like to make that happen!

Tom Ford..just to actually meet the man himself ;p.. Having used his es quad and blush and eye liner i thnk ths brand really understands luxury.. Genius..

I can think of a few options:

Something with a modern art theme, with Nars
I’d love to collaborate with Chantecaille on an endangered species/ wildlife collection
A proper colour collection with Rouge Bunny Rouge, including shadows, blush, lip products (they’re smaller and tend to do one thing at once). I’d love to do something in line with their “fairytale” image.

First of all, MAC. I´d love to have my own lipstick – a dark bloody matte red one, for sure.
A pigmented cool tone bronzer for contour (I can´t live without contour in my life), voluminous and lengthening deep-dark-black-noir mascara hahahaha, and a neutral warm eyeshadow palette – with a mix of shimmers and pigmented/blendable matte eyeshadows, certainly all three things would be a must have in my own collection.
I would choose gold packaging for the collection, something like Pedro Lourenço, with some details in burgundy, my favorite color!
I would be pleased to create a collection with Kat Von D. too. I´m obsessed with her makeup line, mainly her new lippies – liquid and the studded kiss ones.

Burberry Eyeshadow Palettes or Singles: Love the formula, but the color selection is a bit drab for those of us who don’t wear brown well. This line needs some clear, cool non-brown shades– eggplant, dark raspberry, deep purple, etc.

Tangie Wimberly Avatar

God probably Burberry or Tory Burch love her effortless style. For mid range brands I love Mac but I’m over their lipsticks at the moment. I’ll go with Illamasqua and Makeup Forever..

Mari Avatar

I would love to collaborate with NARS to create a Rita Hayworth inspired Eye, Lip And Cheek collection in time for New Years! Something super glam but with Nars edge.

Lisa Avatar

Chantecaille. Then I would select which endangered animal I would create the theme around to send part of the proceeds of sales to.

AbigailOD Avatar

I would go for MAC (it’s my first love, what can I say?), then Guerlain as well for luxe and romance, then maybe Tom Ford/Armani would be another dream. =)

If I could create a collection with anyone it would be with MAC. I pick MAC because I love all their products and their packaging it’s almost always to die for IMO. I would love to do a Jessica Rabbit collection it’s sexy and sultry idk I just think I would buy the entire collection.

Charlotte Avatar

I would do a mac collection that was opera/theatre themed with cool packaging ❤️ With music notes and treble clefts on the packaging ahhhh

Heidi Avatar

Too Faced. They are my favorite makeup brand by far and I’d love to build a palette with them. Nobody does mattes better in my opinion and it would be really nice to make a more bold colorful matte palette with them.

auroragyps Avatar

Urban Decay all the way. I’d reformulate their Lip Gunks to bring back some old colors, like Burnout & X, and make some new colors, like a pale tangerine orange shimmer. I’d put out a collection of polishes too, containing at least 5 colors & all full sized, that you can mix and match for your manis. Lastly, I’d do some sort of all over color balm stick thing, like their old Body Haze, which was a lot like the Nars Multiples, but make the formula as amazing as I could.

doroffee Avatar

MAC, because they make thematic collections, and I would want to make on… like a summer beverages one in the summer, or a theatre themed one.

Mariella Avatar

Guerlain or Nars. I’m at an age where the elegant sophistication and good quality of their foundations gives Guerlain a lot of appeal to me. Similar with Nars, though they also have many more interesting products to sort of “flesh out” a basic, elegant collection of colour products with some more vibrant or creative colours and finishes.
