While I love Nars, I’m getting deadly bored by this seemingly never-ending trend of collecting warm-toned skin-like colours in “neutral palettes”. Many people (myselfincluded) do *NOT* look good in those, and yet everywhere I look it’s just beiges, browns, warm taupes and bronzes. At least my wallet is safe yet again. Where is a nude palette for cool to neutral skin-tones? (No, Naked 2 is not the answer. Definitely not.)

Layla, I feel your pain 😉
You can try my favorite – Too Faced Naked Eye Palette (you can still get it on Too Faced’s website), or their Boudoir Eyes Palette which has several of the same shades plus a purple. It also has the newer, more travel-friendly packaging.

This looks like it could be interesting but for me the problem is (as is often the case) that I already have 2 of the shadows (Kalahari and Galapagos and I’m not crazy for the latter). The inclusion of a brush can be a mixed blessing – it’s great to have a brush that fits the compact but if the brush isn’t of reasonably good quality, it’s pointless. I think it wasn’t wise to include so many of the same shadows as in the first And God Created the Woman palette. I think this puts off a lot of people who might have purchased the first one and might like to purchase the 2nd one except for this duplication (I know I’m a bit ticked at UD for putting Half Baked in both Naked 1 and 2; great colour it may be, but I don’t need it twice!)

After I posted, I checked and, indeed, they are all the same so there isn’t the problem of having the earlier one with, say, half the shadows. It’d just be an easy pass. But for those of us who have 2 or 3 of these pretty “standby” shades, it’s not a great value but, at the same time, it’s sort of hard to resist. I like that it’s quite compact (unlike Naked 1-3) and easy to fit into a purse makeup bag. And the brush looks good (hope it is). But I can’t really justify this (well, not yet….I’m lusting after all those Chanel quads and the Tarte Rainforest palette).

This is a palette I’ve wanted forever, so this kit only makes me want it more! I don’t know much about NARS brushes, but just the primer and palette alone look amazing!

I’m disappointed with Nars lately. I was hoping they give us some new eye shadow colors. I have some of the colors already in that palette. Come on Nars give us something new!. I want you to take my money.

Uhhh they released this exact palette last year with EVERY shade identical and the items included are the same. Why “re-release” if it’s completely the same? They must not have sold all the ones they had in stock.

For my part, I bought one but I rarely reach for it. The dark shades are very dark and not easily workable on my paler skin.

These look like the same eye shadows. However the brush seems a bit better, especially the shape of it. I definitely don’t want to seem like I missed out.

Debra Avatar

Gee, another “beginner” palette. I love NARS duos, but the multi-color palettes don’t ever appeal to me. There is always a dark shade that spells “f-a-l-l-o-u-t”.

If you’ve seen the film (which is a real hoot!) you’d think a new shade or two would be created for women too!

Shelley Avatar

I already own half the shades in the palette as singles. Gee whiz NARS can we please something completely different and earth-shattering. I love my warm neutrals but with everyone releasing a nude palette its all starting to look alike.

Katie Avatar

Isn’t this the same as the last time it was released a year or 2 ago?? I own the last one.. I’m pretty sure the colors are all the same.

Coco Avatar

Yeah. I’m like, am I missing something? Not only that, but the original God Woman Palette is STILL available at Sephora (as of today) and has always been. I remember because I kept recommending it to people and even though it was Limited Edition I told them it was still for sale at Sephora.
I’m just noticing a different brush. I don’t get this release.
Anyhow, I love the God Woman palette 🙂 One of my fave neutral mini travel e/s palettes.

Helene Avatar

I don’t have any NARS eyeshadows. I don’t know how I don’t. 🙂
NARS wasn’t on sale here until last year, could be that, maybe. Anyway, I think this looks like a good starting point with NARS, so I’ll take a close look at it when/if it comes to Sephora here.

why are they coming out with this palette again? i have it already and its still available at sephora already, they only changed the brush,i think this is a dumb move for nars, wasting production

I actually saw that Bellisima and i think Kalahari have a roman II behind it so there might be a slight difference?! Does anyone actually have booth to compare in RL?
