What one beauty product would you bring to the International Space Station?

Waterproof mascara, because the view from space would probably make me cry 😉
Thanks to reader Jennifer for today’s question idea Do you have a question idea? Submit yours here.
I would totally bring chapstick 😀
If I could bring only one product, I’d have to go with coconut oil. It’s a multitasking product I could use as cleanser and moisturizer, as I’d imagine the atmosphere would wreak havoc on my skin! Also, it’s a solid, so the lack of gravity wouldn’t be too much of an issue!
I could also use it in my hair.
Yes, I second coconut oil 🙂
Coconut oil is a good idea! There’s so many different things you could use it for.
Pro Longwear Concealer.
Sunblock, so I don’t get burned like Icarus trying to touch the Sun.
SPF 5 Billion, PA++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 😉
Waterproof eyeliner (black).
Has to be a moisturiser! If plants can do what they can do to your skin I can only imagine what a Space Station would be like! A moisturiser of some kind may keep me from cracking up.. quite literally! :p
Oh Lord! typo again! I meant planes! :p
Perfect answer, Christine. 😉
My answer would be sunscreen. Definitely sunscreen.
Clever and sweet, I like you answer Christine. 🙂
I’d probably bring a hair brush – I imagine your hair floating around in zero gravity would result in major tangles.
A good moisturizer for face and lips. It’ll be a very long flight and flights are terribly drying for my skin.
I think probably a really good moisturiser, since I expect the processed air in the space station is pretty dry 😉
Less prosaically, it’d be a really fabulous lipstick, because then I would have been fabulous *in sapce*.
Mascara or moisturizer.
Naked2!:D
Definitely waterproof mascara! I couldn’t imagine anything more wonderful than the view of our pale blue dot from orbit. The mere thought of seeing 16 sunrises and sunsets every day while traveling at 17,200 miles per hour is overwhelming ;).
What a strange question 🙂
I would take foundation or tinted moisturizer. I’m too conscious about being pale and my complexion not being even. I would (albeit barely!) survive without anything else and even skin would have to compensate for the lack of everything else 🙂
What a truly bizarre question. Well I know I wouldn’t take my GHD straighteners. No point really
I’m guessing the air would be similarly dry like in an airplane, so I would take my Caudalie hydrating mask (which I use as a night cream a couple nights a week).
I can’t answer this question. I need all my makeup because I want to marry a rocket scientist.
Probably wispy lashes or lipstick. Both can automatically transform your look.
If i can only bring ONE then itll be moisturizer. Any form of makeup and Ill need some OTHER beauty product to take it off . Dry skin is a no-no lol.
This is such a cool question! I’m actually a rocket scientist, lol. I’d bring teal eyeliner to make my eyes pop when I beam video interviews down to Earth.
An AeroE here, glad to know there are other space geeks obsessed with temptalia! 😉
Cripes, it they wanted to send to to the ISS (and I’d be missing Chris Hadfield, to boot), they’d have to let me take more than ONE beauty product or else, “I ain’t gonna go”. I actually work with a woman who’s been short-listed for that colony that is supposedly going to be established on Mars (it’s a one way trip…..no more seeing family, friends, going to the farmers’ market or – GASP – to Sephora!
A really heavy leave in conditioner. Have you seen the way astronauts wash their hair? It squeaks when they brush it out!
I would probably only bring skincare. A multi-purpose oil perhaps.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara!!!
Bobbi Brown Gel Liner.. its already very smudge proof and i just couldn’t live without it..
Concealer for space zits.
Definitely my foundation!
Waterproof mascara? Yeah, that’s a good one it would make me cry too.
But since I can only bring one product it would have to be sunblock.
My current all-time favorite lipstick, Mac Gesina. Yes, I know it’s been out for awhile but I just discovered this shade and luckily found one online. And a good lip balm of course.
Pond’s Dry Skin cream.
A red lipstick.
When I die, I better be using Ruby Woo. 😉
I suppose the air would be at least as dry as on a plane, it would have to be a moisturizer for very dehydrated skin. I’d choose the Intensif Hyaluronic Mask by Institut Esthederm, that can be used as a night mask too.
Lipstick.
simply…lip balm
Moisturizer! It might dry out my skin.
Definitely foundation with spf. All the rest can go to the devil as long as my skin looks good.
That’s so sweet Christine. My first thought was moisturizer but of course coconut oil which is multi-use and a tinted sunscreen make sense too. So that leaves me with a waterproof black pencil eyeliner because I would probably find something in the food packets to use as moisturizer – and to color lips and cheeks.
I’d have to bring moisturizer. not so much fun, I know. Now if all skincare were already there, I’d bring a mascara.
Glam Glow SuperMud! And I’d smuggle in philosophy’s Breath of Fresh Air moisturizer
