I was crossing my fingers that the Cheek palette wouldn’t include Orgasm and Laguna. So overplayed by now, can’t they think of any other combo?

My exact thoughts when I read about the palette! Almost every single palette they produce has both Orgasm and Laguna! You would think this would lessen interest in their palettes because people don’t want to pay for a ton of overlap. Yet they keep turning out palettes with both of them. And if that weren’t enough, the pan size of both O and L is like 3x the size of the actually unique products which are tiny, lol. Argh.

The size of the “new” shades was what really surprised me — if NARS releases a cheek palette without Orgasm or Laguna (or without BOTH!), I would be greatly shocked at this point. I think the last cheek palette they launched still sold out, though, so I guess if it’s selling, why change… I wonder if this one will be as quick to sell, because it Orgasm and Laguna makeup half the palette this time around AND even more if you go by the sizing.

My thoughts exactly! They release same things over and over and over again…. by now every single woman already has both laguna and orgasm. I am so disappointed

Of all the beautiful blushes Nars makes why in the world do they keep releasing the same colors in their cheek palettes? I would love to see Taj Mahal ,Mati Hari, Exhibit A , Douceur etc.in a blush palette! Almost any other colors besides Orgasm and Laguna!!

The cheek palette is great for those who didn’t want to buy the Guy Bourdin cheek palette, but wanted the limited edition colors that it came with.

I want to echo the “not orgasm and laguna again” sentiments. Really? Nars can do better….and I love those shades (I just have multiples of them,….many times over…).

Always with the Orgasm… we’ve seen that one sooo many times now, it’s getting a bit old. I bet 80% of people interested in these sets already own it. But they seem to insist on always adding their star shade in kits and combination palettes.

Looks like a nice way to try the famous Dolce Vita shade! (Well, I keep reading about it as people’s HG lipstick shade anyway ;-))

Given how many shades of blush NARS has, I’m assuming their market research suggests that everyone really wants more Orgasm (must…not…make…obvious…joke). Either that or NARS really gears its special combo palettes towards *new* customers, rather than existing ones? It kind of makes sense, since the ‘SPECIAL EDITION’ kind of things are more eye catching in stores to attract people and multi-product palettes are more likely to make new customers feel that they are getting a selection of the brand’s best/most popular shades?

Not too excited about this palette. I feel the same about Laguna and Orgasm as most of the other comments, overused. Plus, the highlighter, Orgasm, and Laguna were in the Narsissist Cheek Palette, which was a more recent release.

Anyways, I really like the sets. I have my eyes on Schiap. Thanks for the post!

I’m in love with Mistinguette and Devotee (I didn’t pick up the Guy Bourdin palette), but I don’t really care much for Orgasm or Laguna. =/ Wish they’d make those two permanent!

Jules Avatar

I can’t believe they just repackaged four of the six Guy Bourdin shades…but then again, NARS tends to do this kind of a thing a lot, right? It’s boring me! Also, they made Mistinguette so tiny when it’s a really lovely blush that would probably get more use than Laguna from most people – and the shape is horrible! Good luck getting it onto a big round brush!

And STOP PUTTING ORGASM AND LAGUNA IN ALL THE PALETTES! SERIOUSLY!

I was so excited for a new blush palette, but All of these colors are in the One Night Stand palette. That’s so silly of them, it’s hardly been six months. Feel like I was just standing there with money in my hand and Nars went “No thank you.”

Nadia Avatar

Im so temped to but the blush palette, i missed the Guy Bourdin one and I’m still sad over it hahahaha i dont have anything from Nars yet so maybe i’ll but this….i still want that Guy Bourdin palette through :C
