agreed – you can buy 1/4 of a teaspoon sample size for less that $2 and it’s free shipping. I bought 2 and got a sample of another color for free. I am a fan!

I dont use a lot of loose eyeshadow. Own NO MAC pigments, and only a few Bare Essentials products. That said , i have heard AWESOME things about Fyrinnae’s eyeshadows, and the colors look gorgeous. I really want to try them. ANd I’m also curious to try Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics loose eyeshadows….

Mac Pigments for sure. I HATE B.E. loose eyeshadows, love their blushes, bronzers and foundations, but the eyeshadows just don’t work for me.

Bare Minerals e/s and Fyrinnae. Great color ranges and lots of different finishes, not like other loose eye shadows that mostly come in only shimmers. Not a fan of MAC pigments– on top of some not even being eye save, there are many that are really difficult to work with because of their texture.

MAC pigments for sure. You can do so much with them. I’m still learning things all the time…like that you can make nail polish with them. How cool is that? LOL

Fyrinnae. Amazing, beautiful, complex colours. Incredible selection, from dark, bright, subtle, complex, whatever, cheap, HUGE samples in jars, and free shipping WORLDWIDE on orders over $20.

Amazing. Their pixie epoxy is also a better primer than UDPP, MAC Paint Pots, TFSI and Smashbox Photo Finish combined.

I love Becca, because it has zero fall out. I can wear it on unprimed lids and still have a fantastic colour payoff, and that is saying a lot for loose shadow. I also love Scott Barnes Eye Ice, I bought them up whilst I still could, too bad the line is RIP.

I love MAC pigments because I’m a MAC fanatic anyway, but Barry M dazzle and glitter dusts are amazing- about a third of the size (and third of the cost) of MAC pigments and they come in so many different colours.

Im not sure if they’re available outside the UK though..

Fyrinnae. Quality is better than MAC and you get more for your money. Not to mention there are far more colors and textures. They even have ones that change color in different lighting.

To me the best loose eye shadow is made by Everyday Minerals. Their colors are gorgeous and last! I recently got a beautiful mint green shade, a bunch of shimmery beiges and browns, and a lovely Christmas palette of silver, gold, and white (which I still use now.) The best part is that the colors are very affordable and they usually throw in something for free when you order.

Since I’m clumsy and prone to dropping things, I tend to avoid loose shadows or powders of any kind, but I have finally succumbed to the lure of MAC pigments, particularly the metal-finish shades.

Fyrinnae, for beautiful afforable colours, fantastic customer service, affordable shipping (free over $20!) and best of all, they sell a bit of magic in a bottle that can turn any eyeshadow (even the cruddy sheer drugstore brands) into something wonderful, Pixie Epoxy! <3<3<3

I had lots of MAC samples and they aren’t teh greatest, not my taste. However, I was able to find some excellent Mineral makeup loose eyeshadow online companies: AROMALEIGH and FYRINNAE
I got their loose shadows and I really love them and most of them are a dream to blend… i just kept buying from them again and again.

Fyrinnae, Sassy Minerals, and Aromaleigh all make amazing loose eyeshadows. Ryrinnae makes amazing, unique colours (seriously, check out the colour shifting Arcane Magics), Sassy has gorgeous colours and dirt cheap samples (75 cents for a very generous sample in a pot), and Aromaleigh has a wide range – wearable neutrals, sparkley, matte and BRIGHT. They all have great customer service as well.

Skip repackagers like Lime Crime, and the various resellers on etsy, get the same colours for MUCH less on TKB Trading. Or go to Fyrinnae, Sassy or Aromaleigh and spend less for a unique product.

ben nye hands down. far far superior to mac in opacity, pigmentation, quantity, ease of application, blendability. and, best of all, they are CHEAP!!

Fyrinnae! They have a huge range, generous samples, great customer service, and it’s vegan. What more could you ask for? Oh, and their pixie epoxy is to die for. I also love Aromaleigh.

MAC pigments. they were my first love and what drew me into MAC the first place.

fyrinnae is at a loss because i’m one to go to a store and to test it out…the fact that it’s only online=FAIL. plus their shades are okay, a little too much sparkle for my liking.

Thanks for doing this topic Christine. I never knew of brands that were named here. Now I have to check out Fyrinnae and Aromaleigh. Thanks everybody!
