Sleek! It’s so hard to get that stuff here. I really want to say Illamasqua too, but I’ve only tried one blush… like twice, so I guess that doesn’t count, hahaha. Hourglass, Chanel, Tom Ford, … all these really higher end brands that I know I’d never spend money on unless I had a gift card with a nice price tag on it.

waiting on Rouge Bunny Rouge samples and then dying to place an order when Sea of Clouds is back in stock!! And can’t wait to see if anyone posts any other niche cosmetic brands that I can then fervishly research! 😉

Veronica Avatar

Oh goodness, so many…shu uemura, Shiseido, Burberry, Clarins, YSL. Burberry is probably at the top of that list, though. Ahh, so much makeup, so little time.

Shelly Avatar

Her site now ships to the US, but there are still a few products we can’t get (anything with SPF, because it has to be tested first, because regulations), and the shipping charges are, IMLTHO, ridiculous. (It’s, I think, £14.95, which amounts to mid-$20 USD range.)

Dying to try Anna Sui’s lipsticks. But I can’t find reviews or swatches anywhere out there which is super weird. I don’t live near any places that sell high end makeup so I have to rely on blogger swatches and reviews! The packaging on those lipsticks though….gorgeous.

I’ve also been wanting to try Drew Barrymore’s new drugstore brand Flower! I’ve heard good things about it, and it’s supposed to be available at Walmart (I actually have one of those within half an hour of me, yay!)

TG Avatar

I loved Anna Sui’s lipsticks (they have parabens so I no longer use them). The formula I had smelled like roses and the coverage was great, but I don’t think she’s changed them that much aside from packaging and maybe some different finishes.

Hima Avatar

I’d really like to try Tarte’s makeup. Mostly their concealers and foundations since they’re one of the natural brands. 🙂

Maddie Avatar

Guerlain. It’s always been just too far out of my usual price bracket, but the Rouge G lipstick in Rose Grenat is absolutely stunning – I might need to splurge!

Quinctia Avatar

Nfu Oh nail polish! And, for some reason, I always look at stuff by Etude House (Korean brand), but I haven’t bought any of their cosmetics yet–I just have one hand cream that came in a container that looks like an adorable baby animal. :3

Maddie Avatar

Étude House have some great skincare products, and I love their nail polishes and lip products too. Plus it’s so affordable! I also love their face mask sheets.

Maybe, Suqqu? Do try Suqqu, please you can rate it. Suqqu in my opinion is the Japanese equivalent of Guerlain or Tom Ford?. The packaging itself is quintessential. Addiction is supposed to be, Nars equivalent. If I won the lottery, Tokyo would be my first destination.

I personally would buy all the Japanese brands…drugstore brand or department store brands…the packaging just blows me away. And some of these bloggers dare depot Suqqu and Addiction into the Z-palette. It is like buying an Louis Vuitton or Chanel purse and then covering up the bag with a white plastic garbage bag.

TG Avatar

I’ve tried quite a few Asian brands (shout out to the Muse for introducing them all) but never SUQQU. I haven’t been able to get myself to spend that much, but it does look like a nice brand. But what’s in it? 24K gold? 😛

faerieevenstar Avatar

Oh you definitely should try SUQQU! I’ve only tried one of their products- the eyebrow pen- but it’s so brilliant, I’ll never even look at an eyebrow pencil again!

I have yet to try anything by Guerlain or Chanel, not because there’s nothing I like, but I can’t justify the prices when money is tight 🙁 (My SUQQU pen was a treat for my 30th birthday, even though that was very expensive!) Having a make up addiction and liking the quality products is an expensive habit :\

Ari Avatar

MISSHA. Now that I’ve paled out of even Burberry’s foundations, it looks like it’s time to take the plunge into Korea’s offerings. *g*

Maddie Avatar

I love MISSHA’s BB creams, the Signature Real Complete one in 21 is perfect for my pale skin. Can’t rave about it enough!

Veronica Avatar

MAC also has a white shade that you can use to lighten foundations. Dita Von Teese apparently uses it. Might be a tad gentler on the wallet than Illumasqua.

Out of curiosity, how fair are you? I’m an NW10 right now and have been meaning to try Burberry, but we don’t have any counters for it here and didn’t want to but blind.

Emi Avatar

If you decide to try Suqqu, I recommend the cheek brush – so pricey, but perfect for super-pigmented blushes (and SO SOFT). It doesn’t work with less pigmented blushes, though. I have one Suqqu quad, and I like it, but I’m not sure you’d love it – it’s silky, but not particularly pigmented.

There are tons of brands I haven’t tried yet that are on my list – THREE and Kiko are probably at the top of the list!

Janelle Avatar

Tarina Tarentino! I keep seeing so many great things about the brand, but I like to be able to swatch and play so it is hard for me to buy online!

Caroline Avatar

I had never heard of this company until you mentioned them, Kate.
I may end up in the poorhouse! What beautiful shades they have!

AmyD Avatar

Suqqu, THREE…more shu uemura, shame it’s not in department stores in the US anymore…more easily-accessible Korean brands like Clio, Etude House, and Innisfree…and the Japanese drugstore brands! And Rouge Bunny Rouge! I always want the brands I can’t easily obtain 😀

CKG Avatar

We have our own makeup brands, Sacha Cosmetics and Cara Mia here and we have a MAC store but no option for NARS, Guerlain, Chanel etc.
I would like to able to swatch any of those high end brands in person as opposed to scrutinizing internet pics! The Guerlain powders look interesting as well as some Dior face products. It would just be nice to have more options!

issy Avatar

Actually before reading your answer I was thinking on Suqqu too. One of my favourite journalists in London: Sali Hugues raves about their foundation and also mentions some of the eyebrow products. The prices are just too high though ( 60 pounds for 30 ml foundation????)…and I have never been able to find samples or bargains in ebay or anywhere…what in truth is a blessing because I would end up buying it. Another brand would be Sisley ( or Sisleya, not sure which one is right) but even the lip balm costs a fortune. Also I find that one has to be very disciplined to go back to drugstore after experiencing high end. I got a sample of giorgio armani luminous silk but bought the l’oreal true match,. I really like it ,, practically a dupe at quarter of the price. Still unsatisfied craving the armani one….because is …Armani.

Caroline Avatar

Inglot, and I would really love to try Hakuhodo brushes.
I now also want to try Fyrinnae, after Kate mentioned it here 🙂
For all of you who have expressed a desire to try Guerlain-It is every bit as nice as you think it is! No, actually, NICER.

Renay Avatar

I’ve been wanting to try Becca products. My local Sephora just started carrying the line so I picked up a few things and I’m excited to test them out.

Lotus Avatar

Becca is seriously my GO TO! I soooooo can’t say enough about the resurfacing primer, foundations, TM, beach and eye tints, and the ILLUMINTORS! Lip pencil, shadows and glosses are great too! 😀 I’m very fair and highly sensitive, FYI. This brand has been so kind to me and cut my getting my face on time down to minutes! Sorry, I just can’t say enough good things!

rosewinnie Avatar

Japanese brands such as Kanebo’s Coffret D’or , SUQQU or Kose’s Addiction ^^ Sad thing is they won’t be selling here in Brazil anytime soon.

Sophia B. Avatar

If you don’t mind me asking, where is it that you’re from sylirael? I always see you mentioning that certain brands or products aren’t available where you live.

Samantha Avatar

Guerlain. I did just receive a deluxe sample of mascara. I suppose I will try that soon. Mascara really would not be the first thing I would like to try in a line. I also would like to try Sugarpill.

Kelly Avatar

Illamasqua, Inglot, Kevyn Aucoin (absolutely loved him, hope his makeup line lives up to his great name, so sad he is not here to see it), Guerlain and Chanel.
But I’m trying to rein in my makeup spending so I doubt I’ll be trying them anytime soon. I tend to go for more mid-range stuff because I’m not rich (MUFE, Nars, Hourglass, Urban Decay, Lancome, etc) and sometimes drugstore stuff but if I won the lottery or something I’d go nuts with the high end brands.

Kelsey Avatar

Makeup Geek, Illamasqua, Sleek, and up until recently Inglot… Now that I’ve tried it I have an addiction. I’m considering flying to Vegas with an extra $500 in my pocket and do some serious damage at Inglot.

Brenda Avatar

Illamasqua! I now know you can order direct from their site and a few Bay locations now carry it, but for ages it wasn’t available to Canada.

Shayni Avatar

Geez…so many! Koh Gen Do, LeClerq, Omorovicza, Kevin Aucoin, Cle de peau, Chantecaille, Rouge Bunny Rouge, Armani, Le Maquillage, Kryolan, and AERIN Beauty. I used to love the palettes Aerin Lauder created occasionally for Estee Lauder so it’s nice to see a whole line represented by Aerin. Haven’t gotten around to trying any of it yet, and so far, sadly, the color palettes have been awfully bland. They are pretty enough, but they wouldn’t look any different from any other basic, drab neutral palettes (meaning how the colors would look on ME, not that the palettes themselves are dull).

Jen Avatar

I’m a little late to comment on this question, but CHRISTINE – you cannot be a beauty blogger and not try Suqqu!!!!!!! One word of warning – you will become addicted. My top favorites are the loose powder and any eyeshadow quad. Oh my, and their brushes. The cheek brush is far better than any Hakuhodo I own. Oh and their blush, and foaming cleanser….just try it already! Ichibankao charges a bit of an upcharge, but it’s an easy way to buy Japanese products in the US. While you’re at it, try some eyeshadows and lipsticks from the drugstore brands like Kanebo Kate or Kose Visee. Can you tell I’m obsessed with Japanese cosmetics?!
