I think you once wrote that Tom Ford Violet Fatale might be considered as a dupe for Rebel as well. That’s my first and only TF lipstick and I LOVE it!

Wet n Wild has a few VERY similar if not exact shades. I don’t personally own Rebel since it isn’t really my bag, but I’ve compared a friend’s tube to some of my stash before and Wet n Wild Sugar Plum Fairy ($1.99) is pretty much bang on with the exception of Sugar Plum Fairy being a bit more matte. Ferguson Crest Cabernet is a tiny bit more purple and has a glossier finish.

Love these Christine! I know I’ve mentioned this before but I’d love dupes for Ruby Woo! I don’t even need the matte formula – I’m just looking for something that’s the same kind of ultra-flattering red, without the lip-death aspect.

Ahh, these posts are great! I’ve wondered about getting Rebel for years, but never pulled the trigger. While I was in Paris recently, I got Venom at a Sephora, and I’ve enever looked back – I didn’t realise they were so close, though!

I love Rebel also, I went to MAC yesterday and bought my second tube. The MUA says they’re flying off the shelves.
Wow, does Magnetism ever look different on you than it does on me! On my lips, it’s the same shade as Illamasqua’s Belladona, but less intense. I don’t even know how to account for it because it doesn’t seem like undertones etc. should change a lipstick that much, but I can’t think of any other explanation.
Undertones can make a big difference – cool pinks can look almost gray on me because of my undertones!
I know, it has to be undertones working their weird magic! I still get shocked, though, when I see a lipstick that looks so different on other people because I’m used to most shades being quite similar (both Rebel and Belladonna look almost the same on me as they do on you). This is why I stopped buying dupes without swatching, one of my sillier and more costly ideas!

I’m always surprised at how much of a sheen Rebel has on you – on me, it pulls very matte! Gorgeous shade, but it’s definitely a vampy color on my NW10/15 skin. 🙂
It’s pretty vampy on me, though I’m sure not as dramatic!
