The red lip color is a gel color and it’s really not red – it’s a very bright orangey-red. It’s more orange than red, actually. I work for a Laura Mercier counter.

Yeah, I know how to hold a ridiculous grudge. I’m still pissed about the outrageous artist palette price increase… LOL. Besides, I don’t really care for this collection… except maybe the purple and pink lipsticks… but I’m not buying. 😛

That model reminds me of Amy Poehler! I don’t love the look, though. I usually like “everything old is new” but this feels a little dated. Probably just the styling on this model, though.

The purple gel lip color is GORGEOUS. Everyone who wears it looks good on it. It’s a gel, so it wears more like a stain. It lets your natural lip color show through. I should have taken a picture of me in it the other day, it’s beyond.

I have the teal cream stick pencil thing from last summer and I love it. I also really love their sheer cream color products so I may have to check this one out too! Adore the promo image! It’s Baby Spice goes disco! Love, love, love!

The sheer cream color (Golden Pink) is phenomenal. Both palettes are great, but I’m more of a Rendez-Vous in Monte Carlo kind of girl. The gel lip colors are great, but I am partial to Temptation (the purple), it would transition very well into fall. It wears like a stain. Also, the teal creme long wear pencil is so beautiful. I actually love this collection a lot.

Sorry, I work for a Laura Mercier counter so I’ve gotten to wear these products!

I agree, the model looks like Amy Poehler ! I love the LM brand, but am NOT loving that eye look on the model. Nothing about the collection seems innovative. I don’t really care for the gel lip formula. I ll have to skip this collection. Wait, I do like the lilac posh!– but Chanel is coming out with a new lilac one too!

I’ve been debating over whether I should get a Laura Mercier cream shadow quad, now I know I need to! And that blush is a color I need in my collection :0 xxxx

I really want the eye palette with the pink shadow, if that darker one is purple and not black; I have too many black shadows I never use. I also NEED the mauvey-nude lipstick, BADLY.

Like a previous poster, I despise the price increase for the 2014 Artist Palette, especially when most of the colors are exactly the same as last year’s; that’s SO insulting!

I think the shadow on the brow bone extending all the way for the actual brow (*shudder*) REALLY making the look DATED! Unless it’s barely there, and very subtle, brow bone highlighting really ages a person’s face. 🙁

I love the look of Temptation and Reckless. The purple lipstick and the lilac-y nail polish. I will check them out when (if) they come to Sweden.
I always go for the purples and am glad to see other purpely people around here!
