Formula X Freaky Like Freud Nail Lacquer ($12.50 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is described as a “periwinkle iridescent glitter.” It’s a cool-toned, gray-purple with holographic micro-glitter. It was semi-opaque after two coats. I also tried layering one coat over black, which gave a really pretty effect. If you were willing to apply three coats, I think it could also be worn on its own, otherwise I would recommend a solid base coat first. The consistency wasn’t too thick or too thin, and I had no trouble applying the polish, either alone or as a top coat, as the glitter spread evenly. I don’t know of a dupe based on what I’ve reviewed in the past, so if you happen to know of one, please feel free to suggest!

Law of Attraction Nail Lacquer ($12.50 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is described as a “champagne and blue 3D glitter.” It has a pale, metallic gold shimmer as the base color with medium blue glitter that seemed to appear almost holographic depending on the angle/lighting. Two coats of this polish alone was still noticeably sheer as there doesn’t seem to be a real base color, just a lot of gold shimmer. When I applied one coat over a black cream, it seems a lot more pigmented. It doesn’t apply as evenly as is desirable, which might be the result of a thicker consistency that was harder to control on the nail. Unfortunately, I don’t have any possible dupes to suggest for this one, but I’d love to hear from you if you know of one.

Hi, “Law of Attraction” looks identical to Essie ” On a Silver Platter” and sounds like they both have the same problems with application. I have “Like Freud” too, but it is a nightmare to remove. Any suggestions? Thank you!

For stubborn glitter polishes I take a small cotton ball with remover that I package onto my nail with aluminum foil. Do this for each finger and leave on for about five mins. After that you can twist the bundle a little and all the polish will be off. It’s the easiest method I’ve tried 🙂

Law of Attraction kind of looks like the new Essie On a Silver Platter! I just saw swatches of that last night and it was also a silvery gold glitter with blue larger glitters

I picked up Essie Hors D’Oeuveres this week and Law of Attraction looks exactly the same! It’s such a gorgeous color. Essie’s is also quite sheer but it looks amazing when opaque. I bet Formula X does, too!
