Hit List: Best Foaming Cleanser

What’s the Best Foaming Cleanser that you’ve tried?

Share your pick!  And don’t forget to share why 🙂

My top picks… La Prairie Foaming Cleanser — it’s so, so decadent and rich. I also really like bareMinerals’ Deep Foaming Cleanser.

Seconded!! It dramatically improved my skin after I switched to it – I noticed a difference after just a week. (That never happens to me so I was very excited!)

I’m lucky in that fragrance isn’t an issue for me but I know Clarins puts a lot of fragrance in many of their products, including their foundations. I could happily live without that watermelon/kiwi scent in most of their foundations but, as I say, it doesn’t cause me any problems, though I know it’s a big problem for a lot of people.

I keep going back to Shiseido’s The Skincare Extra Gentle Foaming Cleanser! Whenever I try something else, my skin gets so angry with me and starts to break out! I love how it removes makeup and dirt but leaves my skin soft and perfectly balanced–it NEVER feels tight afterwards! It’s so gentle that it’s good to use in the morning, too!

It’s got to be the Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser. It’s affordable (by being both inexpensive in price and super-concentrated in formula), simple, and highly effective at cleansing and removing face makeup. For me, there’s truly no need for a luxury cleanser. I’d rather spend the money on say, leave-on products.

John: you’re so awesome for commenting. =) I’m going to try this cleanser next.

I swear Christine–your posts are crazy timely bc I was just thinking that I NEED to get a new cleanser tomorrow…hoping John’s rec will work for my sensitive, acne-prone, dermatitis-prone, rosacea-prone but oily skin… =)

I’ve tried lots of cleansers. I was recently using Estee Lauder but ran out and didn’t have a “Wow, my skin looks phenomenal”. So this past weekend, I was on the hunt for a new product. Well I ended up at Target and bought Boot’s No 7 for Normal/oily skin foam cleanser and I’ve already seen a difference. This coupled with the Boots mask; my skin looks clearer and smoother.

Peter Thomas Roth Gentle Foaming Cleanser is awesome for my super sensitive, rosacea prone skin. It removes makeup, even mascara, and never dries out my skin or irritates it.

I really enjoy this soap called Penelopi Moon Junoa. You need to work a bit to foam it up, and when it does the foam is super rich and thick. The best part about this soap is that while it leaves my skin feeling very clean, it’s not drying at all. By the way, I love the design of this soap, it’s a circular transparent red soap with an opaque yellow half moon in the middle.

I really like Shiseido Perfect Whip Cleansing Foam along with a konjac sponge (the one I’m using is by Etude House). It’s super gentle and makes my skin feel clean without it feeling stripped.

I only use Shu Uemura’s fresh pore clarifying gentle cleansing oil. It’s the Pink one and works great at melting off all my makeup including mascara, eyeshadow, and eyeliner. I don’t even use a foaming cleanser after. My skin’s been so dry that I skip that step.

The only foaming cleanser I’ve tried was Origins Checks and Balances, but I didn’t like it at all because it dried up my skin too much. I have combination skin, but the dry parts of my face are very, very dry and foaming cleanser just don’t work for me, they’re usually too drying. I prefer creamy ones.

Za cosmetics foaming cleanser is the best, super foamy. I cannot find it anymore, so Estee Lauder perfectly clean foaming cleanser is the next best.

I love Lancome creme radiance! Right now I am using Shiseido pureness because I got it for about $7.00 at Marshall’s, but I don’t like it as much as Lancome.

It sounds like I should try origins!

Garnier Smoothing Cream Cleanser. It lathers and cleanses and feels great. I always wash my face twice to get everything off. Granted, I don’t have too much experience with more expensive cleansers. I’ve just used Lancome, Estee Lauder and the odd samples I get from Sephora, etc. I liked the Soap and Glory Clarity Cleanser, but I can’t find it anymore 🙁
