Not that goth is a bad thing, but black gloss can be great for layering, if not too opaque. If you have a red that’s a bit too bright, or not the right undertone, layer a sheer black gloss over it, and you’ll have a nice vampy shade.

Why do colours like this always tempt me?! I know I’m not going to wear it often (it can join Illamasqua Apocalips and Trash in the ‘why was this a must have?’ pile), but some voice in my head is whispering ‘you don’t have any BLACK glosses’.

Though I have been avoiding the OCC stains in lieu of the full coverage lip tars, I am interested in seeing this one on a few people to see what color it comes out on each. I think people are missing that it’s supposed to apply to a very neutral and wearable color. They already have Tarred and Batty lip tars, I don’t think they would be putting out another straight up black lip color.

I’m very curious about this one; however, if the previous Stained Gloss shades are any indicator, I have a feeling this is going to be quite sheer. I already have 2 fairly opaque black glosses, so I will definitely hold out until I see swatches.

Sebastien Trucco Divinyls were wonderful glosses. One time I got home and discovered that the wrong product was inside the box. The color was “Bad Kitty.” Since it had been on sale, I decided not to bother taking it back. When I put it on, it had the slightest tinge of purple, but was otherwise black. And — shockingly — it was flattering!

It’s one of the gloss shades, and it’s black, so I think that would make it a great addition to a collection of lip tars, just for mixing purposes.

I think it’s gonna be great. I loved urban decay oil slick because it toned down ones that were to bright. Been looking for a good sheer ever since.
