For me, it’s definitely using a face mask of some sort. Right now, I don’t have a go-to, but I’ll reach for whatever seems like a good fit for my skin’s needs at the time (hydrating, exfoliating, detoxifying, etc.). If I need a pick-me-up, then I wear all my very, very favorite products like Guerlain Parure Gold (now discontinued), Chanel Dragon or Guerlain Gems on lips, Tom Ford Love Lust blush, Guerlain Wulong Pressed Meteorites, Tom Ford Escapade/Pink Haze on eyes, Tom Ford Oud Wood layered with Amber Absolute as perfume. They’re easy, well-loved, and ultra-flattering on me, so they make me feel confident and beautiful.

I go for my scrubbing, massage and mask routine. I prefer homemade masks but If I am lazy to prepare anything.. any hydrating gel mask will do for me.. 🙂
i usually use a facial mask and properly do my nails. I usually rush with my nails, but when I have time I like to use more steps. I tend to get picky with filing, trimming, cuticle treatment and oils, lotion and then I am extra careful with applying the polish. I normally take time to paint my nails but not all the other steps. So treating myself takes extra work on my part… unless I break down and just get a manicure from a nail salon.
I agree with masks, but also a nice soak in the bathtub with some bath bombs, or bubble bath!
I’d have to say some Guerlain Meteorites Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer and then some pretty finishing powder like Guerlain Meteorites or Hourglass Ambient Powder in Dim Light… Special occasion touches to every day makeup.
Clarins Palette Eclat Face & Blush Powder. It just feels so special! Also Burberry Lip Velvet in Pink Amber.
Oatmeal, seaweed, or tea tree face mask. Coconut oil hair mask. Cuticle oil. Fancy mascara 🙂
When really wanting to treat myself, I use my Exfolikate, I have a small sample from a Sephora favorites from last year, I may need to purchase a regular size one.
Since red is “my” color, when I want to feel my very best, I reach for red lipstick.
I have a lot of red lipsticks, but I guess my all-time favorite one is Ellis Faas “Ellis Red.”
It’s a deep, dark true blood red – very dramatic on my NW15 skin, especially if I’m having a “good skin day.”
I don’t “treat” myself by using specific products I wouldn’t use on an everyday basis, but every month I allot a certain amount of money to buy whatever I want. There isn’t anything I actually *need*, but watching my NARS collection slowly grow is just fun.
Definitely using a face mask! I also like to use a foot soak, but it is rare that I make time for something like that.
I rarely have time to do anything nowadays, so when my mother is over to help with the baby, I shower. I take my time shaving with Shaveworks shaving cream and use my coconut scrub from The Body Works. When I get out I’ll use a body cream, but if I’m feeling extra gross and unpretty, I’ll use my Laura Mercier pistachio body butter. I don’t get a chance to wear makeup anymore so I rely on body creams to feel and smell good. It’s also funny when my son likes the scent and buries his little face into my chest and sniffs. Me: “Does Mommy smell good?” Baby: “Mmmm!” His smile is the ultimate treat, though.
1) Body scrubs for the bath
2) Exfolikate or Vital C masque for face
3) I still can’t figure it out, but MAC Fix+ does something to my make-up that makes me look years younger, hydrated, and dewy. Unlike anything else I’ve ever tried. Two light sprays and my makeup looks good for hours. It doesn’t set my makeup; rather, it blends the products and just adds a dewy finish.
A big treat for me that always cheers me up after a long day, is my Laura Mercier Body Soufle Creme in Almond Coconut Milk. It is the most delicious scent ever but as it’s so pricey I save it for those moments when I just have to have a little something!
Bliss Lotion. I am very allergic to most scents and since I am a chef, my skin is always dry. At $30 a tube, it is a bit of a treat right now, but when I put some on, I feel happy and beautiful.
A face mask and deep hair conditioning. It’s a treat because it takes time and forces me to relax.
Lipstick/liner!!!
long bath, manicure-pedicure
