I dont think I have too much, but I can see how other people would think so. Theres no way I will ever be able to go through all the makeup I have, so in that sense, I may have too much 😉
However, makeup is a hobby of mine and I do use everything I have, so I dont feel like I have too much 🙂

Then I go through my stash and sell/give away whatever I dont use/like any more lol!

Definitely no, Im usually wearing a natural makeup and try to keep away from foundation and powders as much as I can (this summer I used foundation less than 10 times) and try to use face and eye creams that will help my skin problems, not using makeup to cover them. Im not saying Im against makeup, but some girls should take it easy cause they have more than 10 products on their face and when you remove them all and if you look in the mirror you may not recognize you, how about the other people.
Yes, I do. Especially now that I cant wear make-up at work. Im seriously considering selling most of my stash to not let all this go to waste.
I know I can last a year or two without buying any makeup (maybe just refilling foundation powder). Which my wallet would be happy about. BUT I feel I need to add more to my collection! its a hobby for me as well so I indulge myself… Which makes VISA happy 🙂
When I leave the house, my face seems perfect, but when I get to the office and look into the mirror or look at the party pictures, I get surprised to see a clown instead of the pretty picture I saw before I left the house. 🙂
People who know how much makeup I have sometimes say I have too much. But I think thats only because they arent really makeup people. I mean, sometimes I feel like Okay, no need to buy anything else. But theres always something that strikes me and I have to have it. Like you Christine, makeup is a hobby of mine. Some people love shoes, some bags, some love jeans…I love makeup!!! 🙂 Plus, Ive seen the videos of your collection and Im nowhere close to having as much as you so I think Im good 🙂 (No harm intended…love your collection!)
Occasionally and probably because I compare myself to other women in the room and they would not wear much makeup. What I do fear though is that it would make me look older.
Sometimes I do, but who doesnt like variety? Though I think 7 mascaras is a bit overboard.
Sometimes. But not in the sense of me wearing to much, but in comparasion to my friends I sometimes feel like I´m to much. I like to stand out, to be artistic and feel all dolled up, but sometimes it´s hard. But most of the time I just feel awesome and great at what I do, and that I´m not a grey little mouse day in and day out.

I don’t think what I have is “too much” in principle. Like, I wouldn’t judge someone else for the size of their collection; many people have much more than I do and all. But for me? Yeah, I am starting to think I have too much. Seven eyeshadow palettes plus a bunch of pots, over 50 different MAC-and-other-high-end lippies (never mind the huge bag full of NYX, Revlon, and other budget brand l/s and glosses), dozens of eyeliners (I have almost all the UD 24/7 colors), and on it goes. Do I use most of this stuff at least once in a while? Sure. But, um, I only started buying makeup in earnest in January of this year. I have probably spent a few grand in less than 9 months. I only really wear full makeup maybe twice a week (other days it’s concealer, brows, blush, and maybe eyeliner, mascara, and lipcolor). So yeah, it’s a lot of fun for me, and I’m enjoying it as a hobby, but I’m starting to think it’s gone too far and I need to weed out the stash. We’ll see…
I know I have too much. For instance, when I was so excited about my new Lime Crime, and then I realized a few of the colors were identical to some of the Facefront Cosmetics I already have. My biggest problem is that I have it in so many different drawers and train cases, so there are some that I neglect to use or even forget that I have. Then when I go to put away new stuff, I realize OH CRAP! I already have an identical product. Not that I don’t love all of my products, but I know I’ll never be able to really use it all.
All the time, but only because the number of people who are into makeup (like myself) is significantly less than the number of people who use little to no makeup. However, I agree that it is a passion and a hobby so I will not change my ways.

sometimes but that’s usually at the office when i speaking with the female managers with either no or very little makeup…I then wonder if they think I am wearing too much when they are talking to me.
Yes, unfortunately. I was packing all of it away for moving then unpacking it shortly after. It took up 2 caboodles boxes and 6 medium size shoe boxes. There are some things that never go bad really, like face powder that I tend to stock up on. But looking at the lipsticks, lipglosses and eyeshadows, oh my! It keeps going on and on. Although, I don’t have every color possible really.
no, I dont feel like I have too much. I can contain all of my product into two 3-drawer organizers. My husband thinks I do, but he also thinks having more than a couple lip colors is too much. …he also seems to think every makeup item ever purchased should cost no more than a couple dollars…
Yes, so the next day, I make it a point to use less.
No, I don’t feel like I have too much. I have a database where I track type of item (eyeshadow, blush, etc.), description/colour family, colour story, and wear count (number of times item has been worn since purchase). I have been tracking my wear counts and purchases since Feb 2005. My database helps me see what needs to be back-2-mac’ed and what I wear a lot. It also give me inspiration to use those items that haven’t been given enough ‘love’.
My philosophy is that as long as I love it and can afford to purchase it, I will never feel like I have too much makeup.
Yes and no, as for as quantity like most who answered this question, i have a lot of makeup compare to some of my friends and yes my husband dont really understand the need for so much makeup! I sometimes fell guilty of having to much makeup when I go to those big sales where everything is like 50% to 70% off and I buy things not because I need it but because its cheap! (BIG MISTAKE)But I love makeup, Now I say to people that I’m collectionor and I wear makeup every day and pretty much using everything that I have.
As for wearing to much makeup it rarely happened nowaday but in College and High School I have some awfull pictures ;P
I know I have a lot and that most of it I will never finish, but it is definitely my hobby. Sometimes I feel guilty buying more.. but I am very careful about my purchases now to avoid dupes, and if something unique comes out that I can’t dupe I will get it because I know I will wear it 🙂
Sometimes yes, especially when I come across a shadow I havent used in months, I feel like Ill never be able to use up everything I have. But its my hobby and I choose to spend my money on that and not on something else. And Ive noticed Im a lot more careful with my purchases now that I have a great variety of products.
Yes I do. I collected quite a big stash over the years and hardly have any room for it anymore. In a few years time I probably need a seperate room, LOL.
I love make-up and its more than a hobby for me, but sometimes I ask myself why I need 50 blushes or 30 pink lipsticks, since its almost impossible to completely finish something.
