I see greys and purples for this upcoming fall everywhere, both in fashion as in make-up.

The Dior Jazz collection is a great example. YSL has a really pretty grey mascara in their new fall collection. Catrice released a great budget collection called Purple Passion and MAC has the In the Picture quad from their MUAC collection. If you are -like me- into these colors, this will be a great season for you !! 🙂

Contrast between eyes and lips (greater than usual). Super dark blackish smokey eyes. Brows -big/naturel. Lips eighter really dark/black or ultra nude and matte.

I agree. Black everywhere. Sometimes with colored sheen or colored shimmer. Pffftt…I cant wear that to work even on my nails.
Love the look, though.

I agree with flawless skin, and dark lips.. either dark lips, or bold red. grey and matte nails, and bright, colorful, open eyes. im hoping jewel tones will be in again. ive definitely been seeing lots of purples everywhere, which is awesome, because that is my favorite color!

I live in a very trendy part of a trendy city, and despite the predictable dark, fall looks, among the super trendy I’m seeing lots of bare faces with highlighted skin, or strong washes of blush–little to nothing on lips, nails, eyes.

Flawless skin that is natural, more like your skin but better. Dark shadows, dark lips, little to no blush, maybe some highlighter. I think strong eyebrows are going to be more evident than the no eyebrow look in editorials.

I just saw something else that might/could become a trend…colored brows. Have you seen MUFE’s Ultraviolet promo pic? With the big fill-in-your-brows movement, I could see this turning into different colored brows as well.

I think matte is gonna be in like matte nail polishes and lispsticks. Definitely anything that’s dark red. I would do it but dark lipstick looks so ridiculous on me 🙁

I envision a lot of cool-toned colored smokey eyes. Like smokey blues, purples, and deep dark greens. Near black lips, of course paired with matte nails and cooled down colors in clothing. Im not really feeling this years fall trends as much as I was liking last years, but theyre easily do-able.

I think dark colors on eyes or lips, but not both. Brugundy, green, and purple. I have seen alot of purple like other people have said. Also, a lot of really dark blue showing up.

dark reds and plum for lips (Youpii!) and dark and vibrant eyeshadow.
I like both example :Ester Lauder and Lancome went with golds and shimmer for fall 2009 collection and Chanel and Dior went bold and dark. Can not wait to see their Holiday 2009 collection!
