Looks - Oh, So Simple! Two shadows -- Ricepaper and Espresso
It’s too bad the pictures didn’t do this justice, because it DID come out really nice in person. Just really subtle and softly smoky. I wanted something super quick and simple, but I wanted something that was noticeable.
I used Ricepaper eyeshadow all over lid, Espresso eyeshadow in outer crease and corner of lid, and Ricepaper eyeshadow above crease. I wore Margin blush on cheeks with Sculpt sculpting powder to contour. I had Gentle Coral tinted lip conditioner on my lips.
i love these natural colours! playing with browns, highlighters – i have those e/s because of your smokey brown look from way back.
thanks christine. another it once again!
Thanks! Ricepaper is one of my favorite lid colors just to “wake up” the eyes a touch, and I thought I’d try some Espresso in it (which I use in my brows). It turned into a pretty shade of gray-brown.
How pretty! I always use Shroom and Charcoal Brown and Patina for this look, but I gotta get into more looks with Ricepaper. It looks a lot more yellow on me, I think.
Thanks, Erin! Shroom doesn’t show up as well as Ricepaper does for me, probably because Ricepaper has more shimmer.
Wow! So pretty!
Thanks so much, Julia!
Love it definietly will do this look tomorrow!
Thanks, Lisa! Let me know how it turns out!
Pretty!…I’m going to try Ricepaper with Charcoal Brown. I did a simple look today too…Charcoal Brown, Tempting, and Gingersoft. I’ll send pics if I remember 🙂 Maybe it’s a browns day!
Ohh, tell me how that turns out 🙂 And I think that’s a pretty look. I love Gingersoft!
You look beautiful as always. I still can’t get over how perfect you always look. Not fair.
I’m just curious… what are your thoughts on the N collection? Also, could you post an updated collections post? Your last one was from Sept 2007. Just curious… hopefully not being annoying.
Keep being beautiful!
Thanks, Anna! Awww, I hardly think that’s me, but I appreciate the compliment 🙂
I did like the N Collection, just because I felt like it was a surprisingly nice line of nudes that were both unique and easy to use.
I’ll try to get an update going sometime, maybe early March when I’m on spring break!
Gorgeous as always! I love how simple this looks, but you are naturally pretty anyway! 🙂
Thanks, Vanessa! 🙂 I really liked your look with that Milani blush today!

Thank you, Nicola 😀
whyyyy christine?!
you made me get goldmine and now i want to get espresso!!
when im trying to save on brushes!!! why oh why…lol
LOL! Well, any dark brown will do, I think 🙂
Ah, such pretty neutrals. Neutrals are harder for me to work with than colour. *lol* I’ll have to try this one.
Thanks, Tekoa! Really? They’re not too bad once you play around with them 🙂
That’s so soft and natural and pretty on you! I have to try this. Thanks girl!
Thanks so much, Mich!
I love this look its something i would wear to school.Did you use mascara, and if so is it black? I think your eyelashes look natural yet made up, gorgeous as always!!
Thanks Esme! I did use mascara, just two quick coats of black 🙂
What a coincidence! I actually did this look a few days ago but I paired it with a much darker lippie 🙂 I love looks that use only a few products! I hope you can do more in the future!
How great, Janis! What lippie did you opt for?
Really pretty! Margin Blush is gorgeous on you! I have to get Ricepaper!!!!!!
Thanks, Nell! I adore Margin blush, it’s my favorite!

That looks soooo pretty! And so natural!! Thumbs up!
Thank you very much, MariahGem!
I did this look yesterday only I wanted less shading, so I used Patina with Ricepaper and then I winged some black liner out. I was stunning, if I do say so myself. 😉
That’s great, Erin! I have no doubt that Patina was awesome alongside Ricepaper!
You look awesome and i love your site!
Thanks, Cynthia!
