I am definitely a MAC loyalist. I have a few items (glosses, eye shadows etc) from Prescriptives, Clinique and Stilla but I just don’t get the same effect I do with MAC. The colors seem dull to me. I like lipstick from Bobbi Brown too.

Usually I use Estee Lauder, MAC, and Chanel although i love Dior’s Diorshow blackout mascara and have the odd few Bobbi Brown eye shadowa and lip gloss!

Most of my makeup is from MAC, although I sometimes wander off to Stila (for shimmer eye shadows & lip glosses) and Shu Uemura (for mascara & eye shadow). Occasionally, i go for Bobbi Brown and Makeup Forever (for their version of MAC’s pigments) cuz they have some really cool colors and finishes!

I’m not really loyal to any brands; my makeup collection consists of products from all sorts of brands.

Having said that, I am however slowly becoming addicted to this newly established makeup brand called Inglot! Their eyeshadow and lipstick range are far more extensive than MAC. Many of their eyeshadows have replaced my MAC eyeshadows as they’re more pigmented and never crease..! Less expensive too 🙂

I also have many Chanel products! I love Chanel’s Rouge Allure lipsticks.

I have no loyalty … I am product junkie! I actually do not use a lot of MAC, since they were bought by E.L. their quality is not good for on set work. MAC is great for consumers and I use some products. I love Make Up For Ever for professional use … far superior. On myself I also love Urban Decay, Stila, Bobbi Brown, Clinique and Dior. In the drugstore I like L’Oreal HiP, Revlon ColorStay and my fave, the very cheap NYX. I will try absolutely anything and everything!

I usually buy MAC, because A: it’s impossible to follow everything that goes on with MAC and other brands at the same time… and B: if I buy a product I could have bought from MAC, then I don’t get to use it toward Back2Mac, and I really approve of the ethics of a recycling rewards program. Obviously, I recycle all my cosmetic containers, but I want to show them that I’m actively interested so they don’t ever do away with it! (Sure, me with my dinky little collection, but still.)

I have an obsession with MAC make up because of the fantastic range of colours that are just so pigmented. I generally find that the price isn’t too bad either in comparison to the more expensive Chanel or Dior. I just find the MAC artists so friendly and easy to chat to which is always a bonus. However for foundation and washes I always use Clinique.

I love mac but ( and risk getting beat up after school here LOL) but i don’t even tho mac is awesome it isn’t the be all and end all of makeup. There are so many other brands out there with different formulas and colors etc that are really great too including some drugstore stuff. I’ve bought mac shadows with crappy payoff and to pay that much for it (a shadow is $130 vs nyx at $20 of my dollars not US dollars) It sucks.
So while my mac collection is growing, i dont feel the need to have everything mac. I embrace other companies as well.

In most things I have a strong MAC preference (foundation/eyeshadow/lip stuff) but I do have a multitude of products from other lines. Like Innocence mineral makeup. The pigment pots are half the size of MAC (and half as expensive) and have a wonderful packaging. Their top is like a beauty powder (think spice container top) which I think is a vast improvement over the wild-and-free open top MAC has. So much easier. Sadly, I think its exclusive to Canada and maybe even my city.

All my makeup is from MAC, but I do have a Lipgloss from Lancome and some eyeshadows from Milani. Milani has an eyeshadow called Illusion that I love and no matter how many eyeshadows that I buy from MAC, I always go back to it.

I’m trying not to be selective and trying to be more open to other brands… most of my collection is currently MAC but i am branching out to Urban Decay and NYX and TooFaced Cosmetics… I like Sephora so i’m sure my variety of cosmetics will increase (:

but i do love MAC Cosmetics quite a bit.

I’m in love with MAC last time to (since I first tried it like a few weeks ago) but I really like to try new products from random brands, I don’t really pay attention on price cause a lot of european brands are cheap and pretty good quality out here but when it comes to eyeshadows I’m a fan of Inglot that’s not really well-known (yet) european brand, they make great eyeshadows, they got hundreds of colors to choose from, they make loose pigments to, their eyeshadows are really friendly in application, stay all day on eye lid and theres no need to do touch-ups after few hours, and like I said colors are beautiful. Too bad that other products from this brand are just BAD, lipglosses and foundations stink and it feels like a plastic on skin (and lip glosses taste like plastic to), even though colors are beautiful but the quality is really poor. They should stay by eyeshadows only 🙂

Camilla Avatar

the eyeshadows are really great, but lipglosses, lipsticks and foundations are a waste of money and its not only my opinion so if you wanna try it dont start from them cause might hate that brand then 😉

Majority of my makeup is from MAC. I’ve noticed I stopped buying MAC and started to venture out. I LOVE my Chanel.. the textures ::happy sigh:: there is no comparison. Then there are the drugstore makeup that I have.. I love them just as much as the high-end brands!!

I love Mac, Urban Decay, POP and Maybelline. If I want to go completely mad with colours( even more than Urban Decay!) I use Barry M – cheap, loud and look ace when i’m going clubbing :o)
Oooh and Maxfactor Masterpiece mascara – because it’s AMAZING.

Chica Avatar

British brand that specialise in mad colour glitter shadows, they’re really cheap £4.50 each and there are a lot of colours i have from them that I can’t find in any other brand :o)

I’m pretty loyal to MAC cosmetics wise. I have a few HG’s from Lancome and Clinique (foundation, powder, concealer). Every time I try a different brand of shadow, Gloss or lipstick I swap it or return it and go back to MAC lol I love some of the NARS duos and glosses too.
MAC is where it’s at for me.

Lauren Avatar

The brands I stick with are: MAC, Urban Decay, and Clinique. Although I do love Laura Geller’s under eye concealer and her Spackle[makeup primer] I won’t venture from her for concealer or primer.

Tanya Avatar

I am brand loyal and ONLY wear MAC…partly because I have a MAC Pro card…its hard to justify buying another brand when I know I get a discount at MAC. I have a Lancome lipgloss because it was a gift…other than that the only brand of make-up in my house is MAC.

emily Avatar

once u go mac u never go back!!!!! but i also flirt with benefit and pout the odd time. but d quality of mac cosmetics is so gud its really hard for me to purchase anything else from any other brand. opi is king for nail polish though as is barry m.

Cosine Avatar

Well for me, I’m loyal to different brands for different aspects.

Where skincare is concerned, it’s Clinique’s Anti-blemish set. There will be the rare times when I actually get something from another brand like Estee Lauder or Lancome but never do I devote myself to the regime the same way towards Clinique – where Clinique is concerned, it’s a religious thing.

MAC is definitely my biggest wallet assault (and ur site deepened my addiction… something which I both love and hate… my poor bank… HAHA) because there are so many things I use from MAC like my daily “flaw correcting” ritual of concealer and powder. Although I do buy lots of other limited edition stuff from other brands (Dior, Chanel, Lancome, Estee Lauder, Givenchy and tonnes of other Jap brands) because I am a pure sucker for nice packaging and sensitive to the term “limited edition”, they never made me so insanely devoted that I will not be able to sleep if I don’t get something I want. I get that kind of insomnia from my MAC addiction, it is becoming a withdrawal effect. Thank god I can just SMS my lovely MA to reserve whatever I want so I won’t miss a thing at all and I can sleep safely knowing that someone is guarding that last piece of lippie (or whatever it is) for me from the clawing clutches of rival MAC addicts… LOL!

Pauline Avatar

I seem to be the only one here who is not loyal to MAC. I’m loyal to Shiseido (including all their asian brands as well), but I do have a little MAC and other brands.

Tonee Avatar

I like certain brands more than others because I have had mostly positive experiences after using their products and I tend to buy more products from these lines.

Skincare – Clarins, Dr. Hauschka
Cosmetics – MAC, Urban Decay, Smashbox, Revlon

So I am brand loyal to a few brands – though I am always on the lookout for new stuff!

Tonee Avatar

It’s a great skin care brand. There are some cosmetics too but I have used three primary products – Cleansing Milk, Clarifying Toner, Rose Day Cream and one eye cream – Eye Contour Day Cream regularly – and loved the results. Rose Day Cream is probably one of my all time favorite products – and what’s great about it is that it can be used as a night cream as well.
