.

I always use the 109 spritzed with water — that’s really my go-to for foundation application!

With my fingers. I’ve tried the 109, fix+, 188, 187, they all just make it sit on the surface of my skin instead of blending in. I’ve given up on using a brush for the sake of it and gone with applying it the way that gets the best results for me.

My liquid foundations with my fingers! 🙂 And for the powder foundation with a kabuki brush from MAC!! Best way I find it this way so that you don’t lose any product and blends it really well on your face.

For BB creams, cream and liquid foundations I prefer to use my MAC 187. For powder foundations and mineral makeup I use my The Body Shop Kabuki brush or Everyday Minerals Flat Top Brush. 🙂

I use my fingers for Studio Fix Fluid. I’ve always thought it was kind of gross, even though I wash my hands thouroughly beforehand. I’m happy to see I’m not the only one 🙂
I’ve been thinking about getting a brush for quite some time now but an MAC MUA told me she loved my foundation, so I guess those brushes aren’t really necessary, right? My setting powder helps to blend it out as well.

Ha yeah looks like it’s best way to just blend it with your fingers and get every detail esp along the hairline! I forgot to mention I actually love putting on my blusher/highlighter with my 187!!

Mineral makeup – Everyday Minerals flat top brush spritzed with rosewater
Liquids – fingers! i have the MAC 187 but i’m wanting to try the MAC 109

I apply moisturizer with my fingers and then for liquid foundation I use MAC 187. For MAC MSF powder I use MAC 187 again for light coverage and then blend it in with MAC 181 (mini version of 182). 181 really gets into the side of the nose and blends into hairline.

I always ran my foundation brush under a bit of water before applying my foundation. Then I would dab foundation onto the brush and apply it.

Today, my make up is pretty much all packed up, going to vegas after work today, so I put my foundation on with my fingers. I actually liked it better, it was a nice change.

I have a Sonja Kashiuk sponge, like the beauty blender, but I find it a pain to clean, so I don’t really use it.

It depends on the foundation I’m using. For tinted moisturizer, I use either a foundation brush or my fingers. For some foundations (I always use liquid), I use my Bobbi Brown foundation brush; for others, I use a damp sponge. Sometimes I use the brush and then blend it with a sponge; sometimes I blend it with my fingers. I don’t like applying the foundation with my fingers, though – I just hate the way it feels. I don’t use mineral foundation often, but when I have, I applied it wet with a brush and blended with my fingers. I’ve not yet tried using a brush like the 109 or 187, but I do intend to get them eventually.

Always, always, always use my 109 for applying liquid foundation. If i am going to just be wearing something like my MSF Natural, then i use by 182 kabuki brush. I would be lost without those two brushes.

I use my fingers to apply my liquid foundation. I started doing it this way a few months ago after becoming fed up with looking for my foundation brush that seemed to have mysteriously grown legs and walked away. I was pleasantly surprised that after using my fingers, there was nothing left to blend. I thought it was weird at first-I didn’t realize so many others practice it as well!

I use a Sonia Kashuk® Synthetic Flat Blusher Brush spritzed with Fix+ or a damp Sonia Kashuk® Blending Sponge. Great coverage and an airbrushed finish!

I mix equal parts foundation with moisturizer or sometimes I would use more moisturizer when I want a more sheer look. Then I would apply it with a stippling brush or a kabuki brush.

I use prescriptives round buffer brush for my liquid, if my brushes are dirty good old fashion makeup wedges. To set with a powder I use my large face brush by sonia kashuk. The black handle line.

Only one way to do it,imo:

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF15 (in NC15) applied over Boots “Colour Calming” Primer with Everyday Minerals Flat Top Brush in a stippling manner, then some thorough yet mild shading.!

Results after 2 weeks of using MAC’s foundation:
my acne is gone; no more breakouts! 🙂 MAC’s formula healed my skin, thanks to the good SPF protection and wonderful natural ingredients, esp. Algae extract.

Oh, and EM’s Flat Top Brush is A MUST for anyone who has in possesion
a) 1 face;
b) any makeup to put on.

It’s the best brush EVER! 😉

I change up my foundation a lot but the ones I use the most are Revlon colorstay liquid foundation and for that I first apply a thin layer with my fingers and then go back with a damp sponge for areas where I need more coverage. Then when I use covergirl aquasmooth I use the 190 or a damp sponge. Then with any other liquid foundations I use the 187.

I use a wedge sponge for liquid foundation. I don’t wear liquid very often, i find it makes the (fine!) hairs on my face stand out. I started using msf natural and I love it! I use MAC 109 cause the ma recommended it. I find it makes a super nice finish, good coverage, but it takes a longgg time to apply since its so small.
