I really like liquid lipstick, although the color palatte for most of them seems more suited for fall and winter. So far, I have Laura Mercier’s Lip Velvet in Cherry Blossom (nice matte pinky beige), although her color selction is both limited and dark, Guerlain’s Cashmere Gloss in Rose Pondicherry (gorgeous matte rose beige), Givenchy’s Lady Pulp in Lady Beige (a matte true beige-toffee color) and 3 shades of Dior Creme de Gloss ( #611-frosted beige, #231-a peachy frosted beige and 341-pinkish frosted beige). My favorite is the Guerlain, but they all have similiar textures (thick, creamy) and quite a bit of staying power.

I agree with all your picks! I love the same brands and colors, though I am also into some of the darker colors for Fall/Winter. There is also one from Chanel which is great… Ever since Rouge Pulp from L’Oréal (when I was a teen) I was hooked!

Love it! Well pigmented, smooth and creamy and long lasting (depends on the brand). I loved clinique’s liquid lipstick line but that has been discontinued for years.

I have Chanel La Laque in Dragon (red) and 2 of Guerlain’s L.E. Terracotta collection (from this past summer. I can’t recall the exact names of the colors but one is a neutral and the other a brick red.
I love liquid lipsticks (at least those ones), especially in dark colors because I find the applicator a lot friendlier and easier to use since it has the same brush/sponge as lipglosses. It’s easier to manoeuver.

I really like liquid lipstick, especially if it’s moisturizing, and slightly glossy. My first liquid lipsticks were MUFE’s which I found slightly drying at the time. They accentuated my lip lines, and I didn’t think I had any. That was more than six years ago. I’ve heard they’ve made their lipsticks more moisturizing, so can’t wait to try again . What I don’t get is why liquid lipsticks from Dior, Chanel, are more expensive. I would think they’d go bad more quickly…The prices are ridiculous.

Liquid lipsticks… As in Lip Tars?

LOVE THEM!!! They last forever, colours are fantastic, they’re awesome to blend together… Just thinking about them makes me want to order more!

I haven’t tried any others though.

If you are talking about OCC lip tars, they are wonderful; Easy to wear and mixable with other shades, and highly pigmented. These are the best ever.

I bought a liquid lipstick recently from Revlon. I thought it was so cool how it really is liquid, but then dries into a lipstick. But I found it to be too drying on my lips. I really like the color so I might try it again over some lip balm or cocoa butter. I have the OCC lip tars too, but I’m not sure if they are considered liquid lipsticks. Those are definitely cool, although I’m not sure if for me it was really worth spending so much money on them (I bought 8!)

Alexis,
I’ve been trying to find someone to swap some sample jars of liptar with! If you are interested, you can PM me on Makeupalley.com at the name Carmen. I;m just interested in a couple more, and I only have two shades that I can swap.

Thanks!

I LOVE liquid lipsticks. My old HG was MAC LAc lustres (remember those?) in Coy. Guerlain’s Cashmere Gloss is the same formulation but a much darker palette. I have never been able to find my beloved Coy shade again, no matter what the formulation.

I was hooked to liquid lipsticks after Rouge Pulp as well. I really do wish when these lines develop from companies they would have a broader range in colours, I do find them a tad too dark as well.
