Gel liners, Bobby Brown. Great texture and fantastic colors!
My second choice would be Stila Smudge Pots but since it dries up faster on the lid than the BB one, it’s harder to correct mistakes.
UD’s 24/7 for regular-sized pencils – they give you color, staying power and glide on like liquid yet are easy to make a precise line with. They’ve been my favorites since they were introduced. I have the Super Stash coming from Sephora today!
For fatter pencils, NYX Jumbo Eye crayons are the best. Easy to use, and loads of colors available, plus they’re cheap.
Urban Decay 24/7 Liners because they are truly waterproof and smudge proof but at the same time they are easy to remove. I only have it in Bourbon but I am planning to pick up the set from Sephora.
I love using an eye liner pencil and setting it with a powder shadow. My favourites are MAC’s Graphblack technakohl liner and Carbon eye shadow.
UD 24/7 pencils because they are so smooth and have great staying power.
Creme liners are my favorite for upper lid because it’s easiest to control. No particular brand, I’ve tried them all and love them.
MUFE aqua eyeliners- no smudging, even on my super oily eyelids, it stays on all day and I have to say this one is the best eyeliner I have ever tried.

Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliners
Stila Smudge Pots and MUFE Aqua Liners!!! I also have very oily lids, and these are the only liners that stay.
I love the Coastal Scents gel liners… I have them in white (Silk White) black (True Black) and brown (Truffle). I got their bent liner brush too which works really well, except that after a few washes/uses it’s kind of lost it’s precision.
MUFE eyeliners, gotta love them!
I love my blacktrack fluidline. I loved my lithograph le fluidline until I ran out of it, replaced it with a stila smudge pot in a grey color.
I like the stila pencil liners because they are so easy to work with, esp on the water line.
Gel/Cream liners. All of the ones I have (MAC, Jane, HIP, CS) work really well and even though some may dry out, they are easily brought back to life.
Urban Decay for both pencils and liquid liners.
Stila Smudge Pots and Urban Decay 24/7 liners. The pencil is fast but the gel looks very crisp and precise.
Liquid perversion -UD
For me it’s Stila’s Kajal.
i like liquid liner for the top like loreal intense black and for lower i like covergirl or the 24/7 liners even though im not a big fan of zero i mean its ok i prefer my covergirl one and its cheaper too though i love the ud 24/7 colored eyeliners.
I like gel liners. MAC Fluidlines are my favorite 🙂
Amazingly enough, the L’oreal waterproof liquid liner does the trick for me. I love the brush applicator, precise/smooth application and the opaqueness of the line. Luv this even moreso than the mac gel liners!!
Love the Mac kohl pencils for a more smokey, smudged out look. Wish Mac could combine the softness of these liners with the waterproof smudgeproof formula.
WOW it seems Urban decay are winning the race im torn between urban decay for 24/7 pencils/ urban decay liquid liner AND for GEL its MAC BLACKTRACK FLUIDLINE HANDS DOWN!
Makeup Forever’s aqua black. Never tried it on the waterline, but on the upper lash line, it’s perfection. Creamy, true black and perfect for cat eyes. A dream.
Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner!!!
MAC’s Liquidlast Liner. Its my absolute favorite. Once you apply it, its there forever. Rub your eyes, cry, do anything. It will still be there. Its the only thing I’ve ever found that stays on me from 6 in the morning to midnight and doesn’t smudge or flake or move at all.
Gel liners from MAD Minerals or Morgana minerals. LOVE them! 🙂
I like gel liners! It stays on and easy to put on! I use the Coastal Scents one, cheap and good! I have yet to try the UD 24/7, I saw it at Ulta and it was like spend $25 on any UD cosmetics, you get those free. How sweet is that?
Urban decay Ink for Eyes-i have it in the brown(demolition?) and it looks SOOO beautifully natural and un-harsh on me, but stays like no other.
For the inner waterline, the UD 24-7 pencils. But really, half the tiem i dont bother with that, so long as i have a crisp outer lid, my eyes look HUGE!
MAC’s Liquidlast Liner, I have it in every color made and can not live with out it……5am-midnight and not a smudge….perfect for my sensitive eyes that water like no tomorrow!!! 🙂
I also love it. I just got eyelast extentions so I can not wear it right now and I am using mac fluid line and like it too bt just not the same!!!
barry m black liquid eyeliner and Lancome kajal by nature black eyeliner are my daily staples if i want colourful then urban decay
Mac Fluidlines
I love Bobbi Brown gel liners! But their colours are more subdued, so UD 24/7 pencils for when I want something bright. Lastly, dark brown in your favourite velvety shadow (I like Benefit or UD), for when I am really in a hurry and can just smudge it against my lashes with a flat brush without any care for precision at all.
I looooove MAC’s fluidlines. The gel formula glides on like a dream and doesn’t raccoon out like most pencil liners do on me.
bb gel eyeliners! I’ve never tried mac fluidline but i’m tempted to see what all the hype is about!
Mac’s Feline is sooo sexy ultra black, I love it!=)
I got Feline recently and I think I am in LOVE! It lasts almost all day on the waterline for me, and it SUPER black! 3
I don’t use eyeliner, but Christine can you pls ask the same question for a great foundation for oily type of skin? 🙂

i have tried the mac feline on the waterline/ upper lid and for tight lining and have to say the staying power is good!just like my urban decay 24/7 eye pencils !
Feline is AMAZING on the waterline and to tightline. What I usually do is put it on the bottom, then blink and close my eye for a second so it transfer to the upper – way easier!
No one’s mentioned this yet (I don’t think), but the Rimmel Spark It Up! Gleaming Eye Darkening Eyeliners are AMAZING. The colors are so unique and enticing, it’s uber smooth and doesn’t drag at all, and they’re about $5 each!! I bought two in Lapis (Indigo) and Black Gold (this color is hard to describe) and ended up loving them so much that I went back and bought one in each color.
I like UD’s 24/7’s too!
I have a bunch of these too! Im pretty sure theyre knockoffs of MACs Kohl Power line. Black Gold is just like Orpheus, for ex.
Mac Fluidline, MUFE aqua liners and UD 24/7 liners. All are my HG liners!
I love Urban Decay Liquid liners, Bobbi Brown gel liners and Smashbox cream eye liners. Sometimes if Im hurry I like Mac Penultimate eye liner.
MAC Fluidline – It goes on smoothly and stays put. Its also the only liner that stays on my waterline.
MAC Feline Kohl Power – I only just got this, but it works awesomely on my upper waterline (which I always had trouble with before).
UD 24/7 Liners – They glide on pretty easily, and once they set, theyre smudgeproof on me.
I like my pencil style eyeliners. For high end I like MAC’s Powerpoint eyeliner in Engraved. And for drugstore I like Revlon’s colorstay eyeliner in black.
I love cream or gel eyeliners for the upper lid. I have Lancome’s new gel artliner and gel liners from Elizabeth Arden. I haven’t tried MAC’s Fluidline or Bobbi Brown’s Gel Eyeliners yet, but I really want to!!! However, I would have to say my fave of what I have tried is Wet & Wild’s gel/creme eyeliner. It glides on so, so easily and the black is very, very dark! Plus it is super cheap!
Forgot to mention:
I use either Lancome’s kohl pencil or MAC’s kohl pencil on my waterline. A kohl pencil is the only liner that actually applies to my waterline.
I love liquid pencils. L’Oreal Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner glides on smoothly and it doesn’t smudge. Not only does it perform well, it’s under $8. I like to compare this eyeliner to Urban Decay 24/7 except at about half the cost. I’ve bought three sticks already in the past few months.
MAC Blacktrack Fluidline is my HG for my liner!
MAC Smolder Eye Kohl is the only pencil i use for my top and bottom waterlines.
MAC fluidline in blacktrack, Feline, Teddy, and UD 24/7 pencils. I’m waiting on my Sephora order to try MUFE Aqualiners.

I love lining my upper waterline because its the only way to look natural with my almost lashless eyes. This is the only thing that stay ALL DAY with almost no smudging. Nothing else works.
The brush sucks, but I use my own anyways XD
Bobbi Brown Gel liners. And her very dark (Mahogany is a good one) eyeshadow wet applied with her eyeliner brush is fabulous. A tip: apply this first on the top lashes from UNDER the lashline – push it inbetween those lashes! your eyelashes will look incredibly long and thick!
Sana’s Extra Heavy Eyeliner is my HG: I haven’t tried anything else since because I don’t need to. Its well behaved (on me and my Mum, anyway…), makes application easy, can do fine lines or dramatic looks, doesn’t move, smudge or budge (though you can move it or correct/smudge it easily when you first apply it), makes you feel like you have nothing on and doesn’t flake or sting. Only when I sleep in it or cry soon after application does it move at all, and it can also be easily removed with a bit of dermalogica’s precleanse. Its been the best eyeliner I’ve ever tried. Its almost too easy. I’m now getting clumsy with an eyeliner pencil because I’m used to just swiping this across my lash line and being done with it.
