I love the “love that look” collection
the starflash is really fantastic!
I have been thinking about getting all of them!

Amanda Avatar

I’d use it in the inner corners of my eyes to make them pop and as a hilight. It would even be pretty over a blush for hilighting and a bit of sparkle. twitter and forum name: sweet8684girl and rss feed subscriber

amber Avatar

This would be an awesome highlighter. I’d love to pair this with Vanilla, and maybe Silver Ring. Thanks!

I think i would like to try Unbasic White with the Rated r eyeshadow. Since these shades are sooo rich in texture, they are bound to give a bold yet subtle look.
One could even use it as an eye liner (not the water line tho)…
Mix it up with any matte/satin/velvet/mineral eyeshadows just cauz its an intense white
The other whites from MAC esp Gesso doesnt even show up on my lids, or they just sparkle…

jodie Avatar

This would be a gourgous highlight and would look great on the tearduct area.
I would like to win this aswell because i only have 1 mac eyeshadow (Satin Taupe) which is in the pallette on its own and it needs a freind 🙂

Decorative Diva Avatar

I’d wear Un-Basic White heavily on the lid with Freshwater in the crease, darkening the lower crease with Contrast and then put Un-Basic White lightly on the browbone.

on the lid with smoke and diamonds in the middle lid and carbon on the corner pushed up into the crease for a really graphic black and white look. I would also wear it on the tear duct, highlight brow bone and line my lower lash line/water line with it the white of my eyes whiter and brighter.

Vern Avatar

I would use unbasic white as a base to bring out the colors and for inner eye applications. I would plan on using it as an subtle cheek highlight. I would love this eyeshadow.

I would wear this shadow either as a highlight for the brow bone & the inner corners of the eye, or an all over shadow on the lid with some darker shadow on the crease to contrast it out.

Emily Avatar

I would use it as a highlighter and in the inner corners to open up my eyes! AAH I am praying that I win this – it’s sold out along with all other starflash at my counter :'(

Sher Avatar

tbh I don’t own a white shadow (I do but its really crapp yand doesn’t show)! I kept putting off getting one though b/c i can use it with everything! put it all over my lip with green on the crease, or white on inner lid with silver on outer corners and black on the crease… the possibilities are endless I tell you!

I would use Unbasic White to lighten up colours I have that I don’t end up using! I’m subscribed to your RSS, TWITTER (kella86) and FORUMS (Kell) 🙂

On my inner corners and to highlight my brow bone/bottome lash line. Also on the lid and highlight with soft brown in the crease for the pin up ish look like marilyn monroe!! I hope I win I swatched unbasic white and it didn’t go ashy on my like vanilla sometimes does (but when applied with a blending brush it doesn’t).

Also I was wondering why after nine months my fluidline kind of smears throughout the day and sometimes flakes?

Valerie C. Avatar

I’d wear it as a base all over or as a highlight under brows, inner eye or center lid. I’ve had Mylar and Vanilla before….I’d love to try this one. I’m fair, so I love the realy light shades more than beige/tans. Thanks.

I would use this pretty much for everything from a brow highlighter, inner corner of the eye or for the lid since the only white eyeshadow I own is Crystal Avalanche.

Katie Avatar

I would wear unbasic white in the inner corner by my tear duct or I would use it as a stark white shadow on the lid.

I am coachkitten on the forums and twitter. 🙂

hi Avatar

I LOVE doing silver-white eyes and matte red lips in the winter. 😀

Eyes: L’Oreal HIP Cream Shadow Paints in Steely applied lightly on the lid as a base, Un-Basic White over that all over the lid and inner corner, L’Oreal HIP Kohl in Black lightly applied along the upper and lower lashlines and waterline and smudged for a soft effect, black mascara (I like Maybelline Full ‘n’ Soft)
Face: Well Dressed blush and loose face powder.
Lips: MAC Dare You lipstick blotted to a stain.

Do the brows if you like and wear your favorite foundation, and you’re done! 🙂

Ali Avatar

Inner corner, definitely. I have the perfect look for this eyeshadow and I haven’t bought it yet so it’d be great if I won!

i’d definently wear it as a highlighter. being a mommy of three and only 22 i have to make myself appear well kept but not like too much like im trying to hard lol

Alexandra Avatar

Subscribed to the RSS (though it might be my email @me.com, not mac.com) and following on twitter (I’m tiakivla).

I’d wear Un-Basic White as a highlighter and could probably use it to cover up stains on white clothing (I’m joking, don’t kill me).

Jessie Avatar

As a lid colour, with Strike A Pose as crease colour, and maybe Fashion to properly blend them together. Should be good for a frosty look 🙂

Apple Avatar

Wow, this is a versatile color! I will use it as a highlighter under my brows and prolly to line my lower lashline for that glow-y look! 🙂

Amy Avatar

This would my first MAC product ever! I would probably use it as a highlighter or as a slight line under my eye to open up my small eyes.

Twitter: MizzPrice

KrisBliss Avatar

It would be a great highlight color and a nice color to blend with darker colors to tone down or to just brighten up a tired eye look!

wonjoo89 Avatar

I would wear it all over the lid, but not extending to the brow bone. then I would wear semi-thick black eyeliner winged out, with a pretty intense brow and true-red lipstick!

Sabrina Saffer Avatar

I would wear it in the inner corners of my eye to brighten up my eyes and make them look further apart.

I would use it as a highlight.. it would look amazing as a eye highlighter for the inner corner and brow area but I would also be tempted to use a light dusting of it on the tops of my cheeks to give it an extra shine.
It is a nice neutral color that would blend with any other colors selected.

aaj83 Avatar

i would probably wear it with greys and blacks to create a smokey look

WOW!!! Let me count the ways this stunning shadow can transform ANY look into a brilliant array of ORGASMIC light!! Well…………, first, I’d use maybe a CCB on the lid(ie, luna, pearl, etc.). Then, Contrast MUST be paired w/ this shade SOMEWHERE on the lid. I’d most likely use Contrast w/ a 224 to give the upper crease that blown out, yet still defined effect!! From there , I’d sharpen and darken the outer V w/ a darker shade maybe Plumage, Sketch or for the less daring, trusty Carbon!!! I could go on and on!!! Lol!! What a fun Idea for a contest!!! I Love this blog!!! Girl, you feed my endless desire for color and creativity!!! 😉

I would do three things:

1 I would use it to make my eye brighter by adding to the inner amd outer corners.

2. I would apply it over the lip and then do the crease and half the lid with a darker color. (Perhaps just spraying a bit of fix plus on a brush and make that bit of white on the lid a little more pronounced.) Works great with dark red browns or purples

3 I would put a dark smokey shade on the sides of the lid. I would the lightly pat the smokey color on the center of lid. The I would put unbasic whit into the center of my lid. Voila!

Jennifer Avatar

I would love to use unbasic white as a highlight, all over color with a tan, inner corner to open your eyes or it may even work as a highlight on your cheeks or above your lip.

I would totally use Un-Basic white for a ‘fall to winter” party i’m going to- one side of my face will be a tree in winter (drawn with brown eyeliner) and patches of snow on top of the tree, snow on the ground etc. will be done with Un-Basic white, and outlined with my sparkly black liquid eyeliner, and shaded (for definition & 3D look) with my plain gray matte eyeshadow! since unbasic white is so sparkly it would look beeeautiful and stand out amongst the eyeliner especially with the silvery-white dress i’m going to wear 😀

on the other side of my face i will be using orange reds and yellow to draw a maple tree to show fall going into winter! it’s going to be awesome!

As inner corner shadow and highlight, i would use expensive pink on the lid and melon pigment to blend it. Some kind of a tropical look. ^__^

Madeleine Avatar

Highlighter, I’ll probably also use it with trax or satin taupe eyeshadow with them on the crease and un-basic white on the lid. Very neutral look.

For a night out, probably use it with a dark blue colour and smoke out the dark blue.

Chocobon Avatar

Oh I would wear it on the lid with electric eel in the crease, deep truth in the outer corner and fly by blu liner on the lower lash line and water line!!

Laudry Avatar

Hello… “Un-Basic White” would be perfect for a super-glam evening/ party look! I’d put it on all over my lids, then use black eyeliner winged out a bit at the ends; darken & shape eyebrows a little, then wear “MAC Red” lipstick.
(Obviously not an everyday look, but I’d also use it in the inner corners of the eyes, for highlighting – all sorts of things.)

Ooh, this color would be so versatile! I would use it for highlighting inner corners, under the browbone, and also on the cupid’s bow : )

Dawn Avatar

I think this would be a good highlight color. I’d wear it as a hightlight or in the inner corners. I think it would look really good with a gold color like amber lights. IDK, I haven’t really payed with this one but I’d love to win it.

haha i’ve been looking for a white– matte or “shimmery” to highlight my eyes– make them pop, look larger, and less tired (:

Mia Avatar

this would be great to combine with other colors, it’s flexible enough for a bright day look or a smokey night look.

great highlighter as well, or for the inner tear duct.

I would use UNBASIC WHITE with steel greys, blacks, and blues to create a smokey eye. I would highlight my inner corners and browbone with the white and softly blend it with MAC’s CONTRAST in my crease, KNIGHT DIVINE over the outer half of my lid, CARBON on my lashline!

MAC Un-Basic White eyeshadow would be ideal to brighten the eyes’ inner corners, but with a light hand, I could also use this as a face highlighter. Or, perhaps even for a different look, take the eyeshadow and dab it on the top and middle of my lips to add dimension.
