I used to be brand loyal, but now I find it near impossible! So many great brands and new products to try.

You know, I think I used to be Brand loyal, when I first got into make-up, and I actually had money, I used to soley shop Urban Decay.
Then I decided it was a bit expensive, so UD was my “treat” and Rimmel became my fave. Now, there’s just too much choice out there!
I have to say my favourites that I will always try out new products are Urban Decay, Mac, Barry M and now GOSH, but I actually own things from almost every brand that’s available to the UK!

Because of allergies, I never know if something new if not going to harm my skin, my eyelids, my lips. So yes, I’m loyal to a few brands that my skin tolerates.

I would say i’m not brand loyal .. i go with whatever brand works for me… i thought mac lippies were awesome then i tried some nyx and realise its great too… i alter depending on what shade i want.. i’m always open to trying new brands if they would meet my need…

For cosmetics, there are a few brands that I keep tabs on, like MAC and NARS, but I’ll try just about anything that looks interesting. As for skincare, I’m a little pickier, and into Boscia and Lush.

Yes, I am brand loyal. I am fortunate enough to have great consultants at MAC, NARS, Clinique and Shiseido. They never force a product on me and I know that the products are good for my skin. I have tried to change to other brands, but it did not work for me. My motto is “if it works, why change?”

I am not brand loyal – there are just too many great products out there that are made by different brands. I am a stickler for the best product for me and I really don’t become too concerned with the brand it’s labeled under.

Bea Avatar

No!! I will try any and everything. I go to what works for me at the time irregardless of who it is. I will admit however (like a previous poster) that my cosmetics are mostly MAC!

For certain products I am brand loyal, but I love trying out new things of interest to me like eyeshadows from Illamasqua coming to Sephora Manhattan and Sephora.com at the end of the month. Woot! I cannot wait!

Nicole15 Avatar

no, not brand loyal. and not high end loyal either. i have my faves at both ends of the spectrum. if a product is good quality & works for me i don’t care if its from sephora or CVS, i’ll rock it!

I was brand loyal with Mac at first then some of they collections didnt catch my eye..so i moved on to MUFE , UD, Givenchy and dior …and i change my skincare from mac to LaMer, Boscia and Estee Lauder .

The majority of my makeup is by MAC although I am not opposed to other quality brands. I tend to lean towards MAC because they are a brand I know I can trust. I know they have great quality products and great MUA’s to give me advice. I also know they have an awesome return policy if I don’t like something! I do pick up products by other brands but its usually based off of a recommendation instead of whim.

I used to be loyal to MAC since 1995, but last year I changed my mind and started to try other brands like NYX, MUFE, Urban Decay, Nars. But I am loyal to MAC lipsticks.

I’m most loyal to MAC but i have a few produtcs from Benefit, Cargo, Clinique and specialy mascara from drugstore brands 😉

Anitacska Avatar

No, I’m a make up whore, lol. 🙂 I am tending towards high end make up nowadays though and have almost completely stopped buying drugstore brands except for a few that are really good like Boots’ own brand 17, GOSH, L’Oreal and Revlon (rarely).

Julie Avatar

Haha yes!
I’m loyal to MAC, but that’s probably because there’s no Sephora in my area–well, until today!
SQUEAL!
Sephora’s coming to my mall today 🙂

Ali Avatar

I pretty much like to try anything that catches my eye. If it’s something I’ve never seen before, then I’ll buy it. I mean I have my favorite brands, but that doesn’t keep me from buying from others.

Lauren Avatar

I try everything… I love MAC, Clinique, Tarte, NARS, Laura Geller, Merle Norman, Pur Minerals, Smashbox, YSL, Chanel, Laura Mercier, Dior, Spell, Make Up For Ever, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Stila, Too Faced, Urban Decay, Cargo, Bare Minerals… you name it, I love them all. I am very loyal to MAC Limited Edition collections, though! I always have to know the scoop about what is coming out next and what I plan on hauling from it! 🙂 But in my opinion, different makeup brands specialize in different things, so I buy what I need from whoever makes it best!

Christy Avatar

Generally yes. I stick to mostly MAC, with some L’oreal, NYX, Maybelline, and Victoria’s Secret. I used to only use Neutrogena and Oil of Olay skin care, but I’m trying out the new MAC Lightful collection.

Sandy Avatar

The only brands I really trust are MAC, NARS, Stilla & Urban Decay. I might try other brands if something catches my eye, but I tend to stick to those four brands.

Sheila Avatar

I am a Dior fan. I love all of their makeup and most of their skincare. I also love their clothes, shoes, bags, etc. LOL

But if there is something Dior doesn’t have, ie. primers, I would get it from another brand.

Beautifolly Avatar

I am faithful to MAC, but thats because we have great consultants/artists at our store in Burlington! When Im home for the summer I tend to spend less on makeup because they’re not consulting me on what products I should be getting, but I have some drugstore and other brand items that are my HGs and will not let go of! I insist on drugstore mascara because I faithfully throw away the tube after approx 6 weeks (I’ve had issues with my eyes and allergies/infections, so I’m anal about it) and I still LOVE my Chanel black kohl pencil, It stays put on the waterline best for me!

Miss_M Avatar

When it comes to skin- and haircare I’m not really brand-loyal. I do have several products that I love and repurchase on a regular basis, but I also like to try new brands or products when I’ve finished something.

Make-up wise I’m pretty loyal to MAC LE collections. I always end up buying a few things from each collection !!

tess Avatar

i tried to stick with mac all the way as far as cosmetics… but nars blush just gives me the colors i can’t get from mac blushes…. and as far as skincare… i’m stuck with clinique due to their hypo-allergenic. i have sensitive skin so i stick to what’s working for me.

Jennifer Avatar

Somewhat loyal. For foundation, I strictly use MUFE. For eyeshadows, I have products from a wide range of brands, like UD, MAC, lorac, thebalm, and MUFE. Overall, I would say MAC and MUFE are my go to brands.

Kimmy V Avatar

Because of my pro discount and my love for it…its MAC!
i like others too as well but im loyal to MAC above all others 🙂
