Temptalia Asks You - What's the longest you've stuck with a beauty product?
What’s the longest you’ve stuck with a beauty product? Same foundation for five years? Stay-true-to-your-moisturizer kind of gal?
.
Studio Fix Fluid probably held my attention span the longest — three years, I’d say!
.
studio fix powder and mac lipstick in honeylove… oh and carbon eyeshadow… all for at least six years now I’d say… and not a single day goes by that i don’t use these products…
My blushes seem to last forever. Never hit the pan of any of them.
sorry misinterpretation I guess haha…Dior hydraction skincare for about 1-2 years.
Mac’s select tint foundation I used for about 2 years. they discontinued it, though. I was so upset, but I’ve found makeup forever :).
MAC Oil Control Lotion and I have been going steady for 2+ years now, and it doesn’t seem likely to change anytime soon.
Other than that, I am a flighty little bumblebee with my beauty products.
REN cleansers and moisturizers: going on 3 years, still a fan
NARS eyeshadows: about 10 years+
Mac Studio Fix powder: forever 😉 (I really don’t remember how long I have been using it)
forgot–
I have been using Lancome Khol in black since college, so about 19 years (eeks) and also use Stila kajal in black, and have been using it since it came out.
I also use Lancome Khol in black for years! It’s a good one, really. Curiously, it’s not that easy to find the ideal black khol.
Burts bees chapstick. It’s the best chapstick so why change. I use it every night before bed. And Lip Venom. I love lip plum[ers and in my opinion, this is the best one
I’m now using my 5th bottle of Givenchy’s amazing Skin Drink Matte. Expensive, but the best moisturizer for oily skin i’ve ever used.
I’d say it’s my perfume, Dior Addict which I wear since 2003. I use black eyeshadow for 9 years but I’ve tried too many brands to say I am faithful to any of them. The blackest and the best for now is fro Calvin Klein beauty.
Clinique super glossy mascara since 1991. Believe it or not. I use other brands for weekends or going out, but for my daily natural look…it never fails me. It’s buildable and never EVER clumps. And my HG blush- Cargo in Catalina going on about 9 or 10 years now.
I dare to guess I’m slightly older than most of your readers… I’ve worn Lancôme Juicy Tubes since it was first released (back when it was Limited Edition, remember this?), for my hair nothing compares to Kérastase nutritive which I’ve used for…let’s just say it’s 10+ years. Nivea visage cleanser; going on 15 years…sadly it’s been discontinued. That’s the disadvantage of having favourites; the fear of it no longer being available!
Nivea eye makeup remover, the cream kind. I always rave about it, but recently I read it was rated the best eye makeup remover in the Beauty Bible. Yay!!
Maybelline great lash, I keep leaving it for a month or two for a “new” mascara, but I always come back to it.
MAC strobe cream… Can’t remember for how long… Should be atleast 5 years?
Benefit Boi-ing for about 3 years, although I’m almost out of my current one and am thinking of switching to Bobbi Brown concealer. It’s been a good run!
not sure but i think it should be maybelline waterproof liquid eyeliner or MUFE Liquid Lift Foundation…
I have used Wet n’ Wild’s lipliners in #666 & #711 since I was a freshman in high school. That was 17 years ago so considering I still use them quite often present day, I’d say that’s a pretty good run for sure 🙂
I used to love Hypnose mascara, I wore it for about 4 years. Other than that, I tend to be loyal to perfumes mostly. I wore DKNY’s DNKY for about 6 years, then Cacharel’s Promesse for about 5 years and changed it just this year, as I fell in love with Paco Rabbane’s Black XS for her.
clinique’s dramatically different lotion…ten years!
Also Lancomes Hypnose mascara. This year I tried to find a cheaper alternative, but I am afraid the search cost me more and I still use Lancome Hypnose 😉
And all the other products I have to change very so often because very time I find a great product, the decide to discontinue it. I should work as a discontinue-meter. Can you tell I love the MAC Matte2 shadows? 😉
Studio Fix Fluid and Select Sheer Powder for two years
I feel so wishy washy compared to everyone else. The longest I think I have used anything is CG’s TruBlend foundation and Juicy Couture perfume both for a couple of years now. Everything else rotates as I find something newer and more interesting (I don’t count things like MAC shadows which I have been using for years, but never the same colors every day)
milani eyeline in black – 6 years
milani lipliner in almost nude – 6 years (perfect for ever lipcolor)
models prefer concealer in medium/tan – about 4 years (love it )
Neutrogena Fresh Moisture- only stuff that doesn’t make me break out. They stopped carrying in the stores around here, so I order it off Amazon!
Physician’s Formula foundations- also doesn’t make me break out, and most do. I’ve been using that for a few years now.
Other than that, most things have changed in the last year… unless you count body wash stuff, because I have a collection from Bath and Body Works that I rotate.
Clinique Long Last Soft Shine Lipstick in Creamy Nude 😀 10 years! Not the same tube hehehe 🙂
OK, so I jump around from product to product, not really loyal to any one thing, I like a lot of things as long as I feel there is some payoff and I don’t get breakouts, etc., I use it for a while then try something new. I make the decision about what to use depending on how I feel the day that I am using it….you know what they call girls like me 🙂
MAC Select SPF Foundation for 3 years now.
Neutrogena Weightless Volume mascara. It’s wax-free so it never clumps, and it doesn’t irritate my contacts, plus it’s a lot cheaper than the “better” brands. Been using it for…oh, probably six years or so now.
MAC Shroom eyeshadow – my go-to shadow for everyday
MAC cleanse off oil – love love love
Aveda lipsaver – 4+ years of love and still going!
MAC Studio Tech – so far so good, almost 2 years using this product
Clinique Stop Signs eyecreme – the only one I like that has SPF in it.
Olay classic moisturizing lotion for sensitive skin – fragrance free and hasn’t made me break out… I love how non-greasy it is! I’ve been using it for probably about 3 years now.
Estee Lauder’s “Double Matte” Oil control pressed powder. I have used this since high school, so its been about 7 years!!! I cant get myself to switch, I just love the light coverage and it doesnt make my skin feel cacky
I’ve used my ralph lauren hot perfume for like 3 years now. I love it
I switched between MAC Mascara X and Maybelline Lash Stylist until I found my HG: Maybelline Full ‘n’ Soft. I’ve been using it for around a year now, and it’s AMAZING! Splashproof yet soft, thick and also long, glossy yet rich, rich black lashes! I also love Sonia Kashuk Cheek Sheers. They’re gorgeous cream blushes with the right color payoff: not too sheer, not too pigmented. I like the peachy one (forget the name!) and Beach Bum, which is a medium cool bubblegum pink.
I jump from products to products, always trying to find something better. I am glad I do that though, otherwise, I would have missed out on wonderful products! The items I held onto longest are MAC shadows and brushes, which are 11 years old!
Olay complete and Clinique all about eyes are the two products I keep reaching for over the years. Makeup seems to rotate much more frequently.
loreal voluminous, I always try the little sample i get, but still nothing seems to beat this one… I think I have used it for about 5+ years maybe…
My Benefit blush/bronzer Dallas has been a firm favourite of mine for around a year now…
L’Oreal True Match foundation for 6 years, Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder for 10 years, MAC Fluideline for 3 years, Rimmel liquid eyeliner for 7 years
I stick to MAC products because they never fail me and I will forever use amber lights eyeshadow
When I love something..I love it! And so far, I’ve been a loyal Mac Select Foundation girl for years..I am slowly getting into other foundations like MUFE HD and Matt Velvet. As for eyeshadows..I have stuck with shroom, ricepaper, expensive pink, cork, swiss chocolate. Great colors!
I’ve been using Lancome Teint Idole Ultra foundation since 8th grade so that’s 8 years! Love it.
I’ve been using Coppertone Oil Free Faces spf 30 for about a year. That’s a long time for a SS for me since they almost always break me out.
L’Oreal liquid liner!!! Loved it since high school which is ten years now LOL!
I have been using MAC Hyper Real Foundation in NW 200 for probably more than 3 or 4 yrs. I go back and forth between foundations, but keep going back to that one. It’s dicont. (gasp) but stocked up at the CC Outlet. Of course, Studio Fix and Clinique Pore Minimizer Cream. It’s kind of like a primer, but it seriously gets rid of any big pores you may have. I’ve gone through many a tube.
Dr. Hauschka cleansing cream.
I agree with Lancome Hypnose mentioned a couple times above. People keep saying cheaper brands are better or just as good but every one I try is sooo much worse and frankly its cheaper to just stick with what works well. Dior, by the way, is terrible for anyone who is considering buying it I wouldn’t bother haha :S
I’ve been using Everyday Minerals semi-matte foundation for 3 years. I think that’s the longest I’ve stuck with anything though I am still new at the whole makeup gig. I’ve been wearing my Anastasia brow powder duo for almost as long, and I imagine I will purchase a new one when it’s all done (thing lasts forever lol). I’m also on my third tube of DDF Enhancing Sun Protection (~2 years).
Paula’s Choice Hydrating treatment moisturizer, Giorgio Armani’s Luminous Silk foundation and Giorgio Armani’s bronzer #4 all for about 5 yrs now
Mac Studia Finish Concealer.
Its been 3 years since i first tried it
I loveeee it
Shiseido skincare, almost the complete range for years now. Lately I have been mixing it up with a few items from the Benefiance series however.
I’ve used the same fragrance (Laura) for 10 years now.
