Of course, it’s my everyday look! I never chose my makeup based on the season or time of day.I think it is all what you would call a summer look or night time look.

Chica Avatar

Of course! The whole reason I love make up is because it’s fun :o)
I wear browns, greys and lilac for work but the rest of the time I much prefer looking like i’ve been punched in the face by a rainbow 😀

I absolutely love it! I am a hairdresser so my job doesn’t interfere with my passion for dramatic makeup. Sometimes when I’m out, children will make funny comments or stare at me though!

Erin Avatar

Sure, I feel comfortable wearing it, but just like a fancy shirt or uncomfortable sexy shoes, it had better be the right setting. It’s just as annoying being all dressed up with nowhere to go with nice makeup on as anything else.

my jobs don’t limit me to what i wear for makeup (thankfully) so i will wear whatever i feel like that day…if it’s Acid Orange and Chrome yellow, fine…if it’s carbon and violet…sweet.

🙂

No. Hardly ever, anyways. And on most people I think it’s just…uhhh…ok, well, it’s just not my taste for daily wear. I think it’s really, really difficult to pull off.

Kristen Avatar

Absolutely. I’m more comfortable wearing a rainbow of colors on my eyes at once then I am in boring neutrals. As much as I pay for makeup, I want people to know I have some on.

I’m a therapist in an elementary school so I can’t really break out the bright colors everyday for work (maybe on Fridays). Although what’s classified as bright? I have Spring Up and another color from a spring collection last year that I wear all the time but I don’t consider that bright…although some would. But on the weekends and when I go out, heck yeah. I love my Electric Eel and the rest of my MAC brights.

it is definitely based on my mood. if im feeling sleepy and not so great, im going neutral. if im ready to take on the world, it’s bright teal baby!

I love bright eyeshadow but wear it only if it matches what I wear and the rest of my make up. Since I love red lipstick, I tend to stick with gold/light copper/beige shadows with lots of black eyeliner. I wouldn’t use bright shades of purple or green eyeshadow with red lipstick – ever. But if I do wear a color like Twig, Touch, Revealing or Loyal, I would go for a really bright eyeshadow. But just one 🙂 No rainbows for me!

No, not this girl. I love my neutrals and admire those who venture out with colors. I bought Neutral Pink last week – which was a big jump and I went out on Saturday with it on my lid… a bold choice for me and I really liked it!

I do not feel comfortable wearing bright colors. Mostly because I “need” to wear a rather heavy layer of foundation due to my acne scars and current acne. Combine that with my age – 34 and I just feel like I look clownish when wearing bright colors. I would love to wear bright colors, but I just feel like it dates me by adding years to my age. Combined with my need for foundation I feel like it looks like I have a ton of make-up on. With natural colors I feel like I look younger.

Oh heck yes. Bright eyeshadow is pretty much the love of my life. I mean, I still enjoy neutrals and I thought the N collection was pretty. But sometimes, I don’t want to be “pretty,” I want to be fierce! And if that means looking like Rainbow Brite did my makeup, then so be it.

I wear brights wherever, whatever time of day, but only if I am in a bright kind of mood. There are so many options and beautiful colours that you don’t have to be bright every day! Although I do feel more comfortable with bright shadow.. lips scare me for some reason. I just got Rozz Revival and it’s the brightest lip colour I’ve ever owned! But I’m going to pluck up the courage to wear it to work soon 🙂

i love vibrant blues in particular, but sometimes feel like they are too flashy to leave the house at 7 AM to go to school with. my boyfriend also often says that i look better without makeup and asks “why am i always wearing bright eyeshadow” but he may never accept that i am a MAC addict and that will not be changing lol

Moons Reflection on lid, Honesty in crease (or whatever darker color i feel like using), and Phloof as a highlighter. simple but still makes eyes pop

I feel comfortable wearing bright colors, although it really depends on the occasion/location. Usually it ends up being ONE bright color (instead of 5) either as a wash, or on the outer corner, or in the form of eyeliner. My favorite colors are MAC Swimming and MAC fluidline in Blue Peep (but not together).

However, in high school (10 years ago I was a sophomore! Yikes!), I wore whatever color combinations I liked!

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If I’m having a good self-esteem day, I don’t mind going out in bright colours. 😛 But there’s a time and a place. I don’t wear anything too bright to work because I’m in an office. It’s not corporate but it’s semi-conservative. A rainbow of colours would look silly with my dress clothes. 😛 I’m definitely more likely to wear bright colours on weekends though, and I prefer a punch of bright colour instead of a totally bright eye. 🙂 As much as I love that “punched in the face by a rainbow look” (good description, Chica!), I can’t always pull it off. People like Leesha are veeeeery lucky and CAN pull off brights any time, any place!

I work at a preschool, so most days I have to keep it to a minimum, but there are always special days where I can go nuts. We have themes like circus and jungle, and castles, and on those days I go go extra wild with my makeup.

And of course, it just wouldn’t be right for me to show up to watch my men in teal play hockey without donning bright teal eye makeup myself, now would it? I need to remember to take pics next time we make it to then playoffs, then I get to go extra nuts!

Julie Avatar

I love bright eye shadows but I’m too scared to walk out of the house with them on 🙁 I did a nice Aquadisiac and Cornflower look the other day but wiped it off and instead wore a neutral eye look.
