5 Shades of Winter for Eyes
5 Shades of Winter for Eyes
It’s hard to find a really awesome aqua eyeshadow, because aqua tends to be a lighter color–almost pastel–that they can be sheer and/or chalky (or just powdery). Sometimes they lean blue, other times they lean green.
- MAC Weathered — darkened, mtued stormy blue
- Buxom Husky — icy winter blue
- bareMinerals On the Rocks — iridescent blue-violet
- Maybelline Too Cool — cool, snowy white
- MAC Keep Your Cool — dirty, gray taupe
I love that first shade, it’s one of my favorite blues!
The shadow that reminds me of winter is Chanel’s Illusion d’Ombre in Illusoire, because I got it in my Christmas stocking last year and I wore it all Christmas day and into the new year. I have MAC Keep Your Cool but I don’t think of it as “winter” though I do think of Gazette Grey and Hocus Pocus as winter night colours, maybe because of the sparkle in them.
M.A.C Weathered is my only pro longwear eyeshadow, it’s really a beautiful shade, deep and highly flattering in winter.
UD Frigid & NARS Vent Glacé remind me of winter, as well as NARS Bellissima. I also tend to reach for my tarte Femme Fatale palette more in the Winter, but perhaps it’s my absolute favorite palette, and I can’t replace it…
Although I never use it, Kat von D Metal Orchestra is another one that reminds me of Winter with all the blues & silvers.
love those icy blues! They look so pretty with a nice chocolate brown.
