5 Glitter Nail Polishes Worth the Hassle

5 Glitter Nail Polishes Worth the Hassle

So many of us love the way glittery polishes look but loathe the effort and patience required in the removal process–these are five of my favorites that are worth the extra time! Let me tell you, there are a ton of shades I find worth it… so if you see a part two… or part eight of this one, don’t be surprised 🙂

Do you have any glittery polish favorites?

I always think glitter nail polish is worth it! But I’m more inclined to put on China Glaze Emerald Sparkle, or LA Splash – Embellished. Hot pink AND holo glitter? Yes please! 🙂

I painted my nails for the first time in years last week with Butter London Henley Regatta. It’s a teal glitter and it is SO pretty. I haven’t tried taking it off yet, though, because it’s still going strong 6 days later!

OPI Teenage Dream and China Glaze Ruby Pumps are my faves.

I love the first blue color you posted..I’ve never seen that brand Nail, Inc before. Do you know where they sell it? Thanks.

I love Orly’s “Its not Rocket Science” and a couple of the glitters from Sinful Colors are awesome for the price! So long as you dont have to layer them over colors that stain… shame shame Sinful Colors.

My two favorite glitter polishes are Teenage Dream and Gone Gonzo by OPI. I try to do a thick base though so I can peel most of it when I’m done with it.

Graphite, oh hell yes! It is so perfect that I’m thinking of getting another bottle. It’s definitely microfine glittery but the shade is almost neutral. I’ve gotten so many compliments on the color.

Zoya is pretty much the only brand/formula I’ve tried so far that can consistently woo me over to the side of glitter (eg Faye, Charla, Ivanka, etc.).

I’m in the works of making dupes for Bad Romance & Across the Universe (Deborah Lippmann), and those will only be worth the effort because the effect of those hex glitters in a jelly base is so COOL.

Captivated has piqued my interest; we shall see XD!

ZOMG I just put down the Cult Nail glitter on my lemming list–gorgeousness!

I am SUCH a sucker for glitters. I have almost every Burlesque glitter from OPI and go mad for Deborah Lippmann glitters. But I learned the hard way to NOT do too many layers. Better to use the glitter as a layer polish than to try and get opaque. It either acts like cement, or peels off in a giant layer (seriously, happened the other night. Looked like a little smurf exploded next to my bed by the time I got done fussing with my nails LOL).

Holo glitter, micro glitter….I am an addict and do NOT want the cure!

I usually prefer shimmer over glitter, but I LOVE Graphite!!! I saw it on my sister’s nails and had to have it. I love it because the glitter is much finer, rather than chunky, almost like a shimmer, and I find myself attracted to anything pewter, which is how I would describe the color.

I’d say a good half of my polishes are glitter polishes. It’s hard to pick favorites when I have that many. The Sally Hansen HD line (I own every color with the glitter in it), Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, and two I just picked up that are great Revlon Facets of Fuschia (fuschia glitter and fuschia hex glitter in a blackened jelly base, it’s quite halloweenie in my opinion), and Nicole by OPI Make a Comet-ment is a rather awesome holo, considering I just picked it up in Target without any fanfare.

I’ve got that Nicole by OPI layered over UD Meltdown right now and I can’t stop staring at my nails.

In all seriousness, though, I love all the glitters.
