2011 Temptalia Readers’ Choice Awards – Nominations

2011 Temptalia Readers’ Choice Awards – Nominations

As the year wraps up, it’s time for one of my very favorite events here on Temptalia:  the Readers’ Choice Awards.  We kick off the awards with a period of nominations, and the nominees that make it on the voting ballot are 100% the result of the nominations our readers send it.  The top 10-15 nominees for each category move onto the voting ballot that is open to all readers.  Every nomination counts–I’ve seen how many nominations are needed for a product to make it on the voting ballot–and you never know what might make the cut off.

Nominations are open now and close on January 2nd, 2011 at 6PM PST.  Voting will open January 3rd, 2011 at 6AM PST.

Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Hey Christine, since it’s the first time for me I was wondering if we had to make a nomination for every category or if we could skip some of them (for example, I don’t use any loose eyeshadow so I really wouldn’t know which one to nominate)…I’m sorry if this has been asked to you a gazillion times but as I said, I’ve never done this before! Thanks a lot:)

Tried that all that comes up for me is the temptalia title bar and the home/ deals/reviews links at the bottom. I am using my iPhone because my laptop is broken. Could that be why I don’t see it?

Hard Candy does not get ANY love on this blog. When it’s probably the best overall drugstore brand that I have encountered.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics gets no love either! Their lip tars are one of the greatest things on this Earth. Suuuuuuuper pigmented. Legit, I have to use vaseline to thin it out.

MUFE! MUFE! MUFE! MUFE! Can you say aqua creams?

Sephora’s waterproof eyeliners are a great find. Eight bucks and they are as good as MUFE’s liners.

Hi Christine, I’m so excited for the Temptalia Readers’ Choice Awards. I just submitted my nominations! Last year, when the winners were announced I found that I had missed out on a lot of great stuff which I then was super excited to try! Thank you for all the effort, your blog is the best!
Happy New Year and have a great 2011!
