I’d use it as an eyeliner on the upper lash line :)

The new purple that they have out . . .Daphne (?) . .. the etrusque on the inside with the purple blended on the outer corner look FABULOUS!!!! (I talked a friend into trying it. She agrees with me.)

I just ordered this eye shadow from Sephora. I will wear it with fall colors on the eyes like rust, oranges and some deep plum or purples in the crease and outer v. I will wear a coral blush and some coral or orange lipstick and gloss.

I want this color bad! I would do an egyptian goddess look. Tons of the Etrusque shade all over the lid and lashline. Mac Carbon to cut the crease, Ricepaper blended from the crease to the brow to highlight. Lots of Mac Feline Kohl smudged and smoked out all around the eye into an almond shape. Falsies and black mascara. The rest of the face would be simple…bronzer to contour, and a highlighter like NARS Albatross. Then a simple clear or nude gloss on the lips.

i’d use it all over the lid, and pair it with a raspberry lipstick with gold shimmer… like Mac Odyssey! it would definitely amplify the raspberry color and make the gold flecks pop.

Love love love that you asked this question :]
How ironic that I picked it up about an hour ago after work and have been wondering how I’d use it.

  7. I’d put Etrusque on the lid with slight defining of the lid with a warm dark brown in the crease. Mac’s shroom on the lip, with Dior’s Red Interference lipstick, neutral blush maybe like Strada or Emote, contour with a bronzer, and nice flirty lashes!

  8. Air

Mac beaux lustreglass and maybe blend in a darker brown, like stila’s chloe

So far, I have used it with Grenadines (matte brick red) in my crease, and Etrusque on the inner corners and lid, black eyeliner on upper lid and waterline, along with Zen blush and Rouge Basque lipstick (or Little Darling lipstick for a nude lip).

Here’s the look the makeup artist at the NARS counter did on me:

Etrusque done lightly as an all-over color, and slightly on my bottom lid along my lash line. The Caravaggio (sp?) eye shadow duo, with the fuschia color laid on my eyelid, just slightly past my lid and the purple color along my top lash line. Etrusque appeared again, slightly on the center of my eyelids to blend it all out. The soft touch shadow pencil, in Skorpios, was used to outline my eyes, bottom and top.

I ended up buying all of the products used on me that I mentioned. Good thing I said all I wanted was an eye look! It wasn’t over the top like I had feared when I saw the colors in the pan. I wore the look to a black tie event. I used Stila’s Convertible color in petunia and NARS matte velvet pencil in Dolce Vita (looks more pink on me than other people) and added Tom Ford’s lipstick in Cherry lush.

I would use this eyeshadow over thick black liner on the top lash line – that is what I do with gold eyeshadow now.

I also think this would make a great lid color with a deep blue or burgandy in the outer corner (maybe some Beauty Marked or Carbon to darken up the very outer corner) :)

I would ALSO be tempted to see what this looked like paired with a blush for the cheeks – maybe MAC’s Dame or Dirty Plum! I would try it anyways! :)

i got straight bangs and i wore really dramatic make up during the day for fun. and wore the same thing. I did all over gold eyeshadow and thick black liquid wing eyeliner.

  12. Nina

I have already paired it with MAC e/s Carbon on the outer corner.
    Looks amazing!! 😉

I think I bought this eyeshadow after reading your review. I love this shadow. I use it with a thin black liner – MAC fluid track. I put a bit of dark brown contour in the corner, MAC Showstopper. Or if I want an easy weekend eye I just apply a wash of this on the lid and wear it with UD Bourbon smudge lightly on the lower lash line.

  14. Karen

A dark brown on the outer corner, berry shadow in the crease with brown liner. A bit of a pinkish blush on the cheeks and a pink gloss with gold shimmer!

  15. Amelia

eye liner on my lower lash line.

or whites and gold on the lid and peach cheeks :)

  16. I would of course use a primer on my eyes and then lightly tap some of the etrusque all over my lid. I would then use a soft brown eyeshadow in the crease just to liven up the lids. Next I would apply a thin line of black liquid liner on top and mac eye kohl in smolder on my waterline and on the tight line finishing off the eyes by curling my lashes with the shu uemura eyelash curler and loreal telescopic mascara. For cheeks I would apply a bronzer with a golden sheen and a nude gloss like MAC’s c-thru

  17. Leenie

Eyes- Etrusque sketch nocturnelle black eyeliner
    Blush- Notable
    Lipgloss- On display

  18. Mina

I’d use it all over the lid and on the lower lashline with a chocolate brown in the outer corner, brown smudged liner on the top lash line, and black mascara for long lashes. On the lips, I’d use NARS dolce vita lipstick with a shimmery lipgloss (i think MAC had a nice gold one from style warriors?) Blush would be something pinky and sheer and a little shimmery highlight on the cheekbones (high beam!).

I actually used Etrusque solo this morning with NARS Kaliste eyeliner. Gorgeous combo… I’ve already gotten compliments and it’s only 9:20! :)
