cetaphil moisturizing cream (the one in the big tub)…pretty cheap, moisturizing but not greasy, no smell (I have sensitive skin), never breaks me out
It´s the same as I always use Clinique Moisture Surge™ Extended Thirst Relief, I love that gel/cream.
I couldn’t agree more! I use the same and I loooovveee it! =)
I only ever get dry patches when my eczema plays up… for which Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Cream is wonderful. AND it lasts forever, my tube has lasted me about 3 years.
For less drastic patches, any old moisturizer does the job. Current favourite includes Róc Calmance and Lancôme Hydrazen.
Green Cream or Paula’s Choice AHA followed by my own homemade serum. But always a chemical exfoliant prior to moisture when my skin is flaky/patchy. The base of my serum is olive squalane, which is super moisturizing and smoothing. A little bit of rose otto (balancing and toning – works wonders!), a dab of neem (for healing and anti-acne), and a touch of carrot seed oil (which is just an all around, wonderful, skin-loving ingredient).
If you’re only looking for brand name moisture, my all time favorite is Origins Night-a-Mins. The smell is divine and it’s the only commercial moisturizer that tones and smooths my facial skin like nothing else on the market. I’ll use it day or night.
As far as body skin goes, I love Eucerine’s AHA lotion. Thick, goopy, and perfect for nighttime when you need serious smoothing action for the next day. Works so well that in three applications (nightly), my summer feet are baby smooth again sans pumice.
More info than you were looking for, I’m sure.
I have eczema which gives me tons of rough dry spots. I try to go a bit more natural since a lot of other moisturizers make me break out in hives. I use Bath and Body Works Too Shea 100% Shea Butter Balm and Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion. In the past, I’ve used MAC Moisturelush Cream too, which is pretty good with those rough spots. But nothing beats that shea butter!
Kiehl’s Creme de Corps for body, Ultimate Strength Hand Salve for hands and feet.
I started using Lush’s new Vanishing Cream moisturizer a month ago and I’m loving it. It’s perfect for breakout-prone skin.
