Temptalia Asks You – What are you most excited about for the N collection?

Date: January 8, 2008 - Posted in: Temptalia Asks You

What are you most excited about for the N collection? What has you chomping at the bit to get this Thursday?  What are you planning in your haul?  Or if you aren’t planning a haul, why aren’t you excited over N?

I can’t wait to see the lipsticks and lipglasses, because that’s my thing.  It’ll be fun to see what the mineralize skinfinishes are like, too.

msf. but i’m wondering if the msf natural are the same as the msf natural that are being sold now? are they repromotes or new formulations and added shades?

I believe that it’s mostly repromoting and launching new, additional shades!

    - lipstick colors sound amazing (and I hope they won’t be too sheer, for a nude look, I like it when skin tone gets drowned out by a yellow undertone)
    - paint pots are on the list too , and also the eye shadows.
I think this collection has the same effect as “The Originals”. The collection doesn’t look as spectacular as Fafi for example. But once you start using them, and once you notice the suttle differences in color and texture, I’m sure we’ll be impressed. Not many brands that I have tried so far have been able to pull off a nude look with good quality products. I wasn’t that enthousiastic about “the originals” until I tried them out en played around with them, and only then did I realize the potential.

EXACTLY! I love how you put it in relation with the Originals. Originals kind of fell short of the hype mark, at least online, but it was a fun collection in person.

I’ll decide when I get there, but I actually just bought a palette yesterday (ashame on me) so I don’t want to spent very much after all. I am sort of excited about checking out the paint pots; and I may opt for an eyeshadow if there’s one that catches my eye. I’ve never used a MSF so I may try that, as well!

You’re like me :D What palette did you buy yesterday?

I’m excited about everything but in particular the lipsticks , lipglass and eyeshadows. What i love about it is that they are colors that i can actually use daily.

Yay! I can’t wait to see the eyeshadows, too!

as of right now, I believe I will get
    -MSF natural in Light Medium
    -MSF in Light Flush
-one or two eyeshadows (Nanogold + a brown perhaps)–though I’m waiting to see some swatches Christine! :)
-maybe the Ochre paintpot though I’ve heard its not spectacular…and if Rubenesque provides the same type base I may just skip it.
-interested in checking out the Choc brown pp.

I am excited to see everything in the collection. Honestly though I am most excited to get into my Pro store and spend, spend, spend….its been since Nov and prior to the holiday madness that I have been able to hit the MAC Pro store :) I miss it!!

    • Christine

      Tuesday, January 8, 2008

Ohh, you are going to the PRO store, Tanya?! HAVE FUN!! Lucky you… be sure to come back and report your haul!

Based on the online pics I like:

    Lipstick in 5N
    Lipglass in 3N
Eyeshadows – Neutral Pink, Rich Flesh, Dark Edge

This collection doesn’t have colors I would usually wear. Fafi, on the other hand, is much more my type!

It seems like you still found a few things to be interested in, though :)

I think I’m excited to see the shadows, since I’m building more natural looks into my collection. Every day isn’t a Cranberry or Springtime Skipper day, after all! I have actually never tried the MSFs, am I in trouble if I try them?

So very true, not everyday ends up being a bright eyed look!

I personally am not a fan of MSFs – there is nothing wrong with them, but I’m not in love with them like many are. A lot of people love them, though, so you might be ;)

Paint pots! And I am curious about the MSFs. I’ll probably buy one or two just to see why some people love them so much. What are they for exactly?

    • Christine

      Tuesday, January 8, 2008

Another paint pot fan ;) The MSF naturals can be used as a pressed powder, contour, etc. they’re all skintoned, so anything in that realm kind of goes. The regular MSFs can be used to highlight or as a blusher!

Mostly the msf because i only have one. And the lipsticks I swear one of them look just like soft lust.

Ahh! Love your MSFs? :) We’ll see if you’re right!

I’m excited about all of it and may come into work late just so I can go check it all out. I’m excited about the paint pots, lipsticks, glosses, and nail polishes. Those polishes look nice and understated. Great for everyday wear.

I want both the MSFs and the lipsticks look nice too… The Originals hasn’t even come out here yet so I doubt this will be out for at least a month!! *sigh*

Oh, wow! Hopefully Originals will be out soon for you!

the lipsticks, definitely..nude lipsticks usually wash me out but when i find one i love, i love it a LOT. someone said these were semi-sheer, so i hope i’ll find at least one that’s great.

and of course the MSF’s. which i don’t need, but must have!

The lipglasses are what I’m most excited about-I’ve been on a lipglass kick lately. And, I love to use the ones that a little more sheer to totally change the look of a lipstick. The eyeshadows and lipsticks I’ll have to see either in person (or from your fabulous swatches :) ) before I’ll decide.
