Stila @ Alice + Olivia S/S 2012

Sarah Lucero, who is a Stila Pro Artist for Beauty.com, created the look at Alice + Olivia today. She used (all Stila products) One Step Correct, Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer, and Brighten & Correct Concealer on the face. For the eye, she used In the Garden Eyeshadow Palette, Mystic Eyeshadow, Electric Sparkle Eyeliner, and Aquamarine Jewel Eyeshadow. The models had to keep their eyes closed for a minute or so to allow the liquid eyeliner to dry. She used Gerbera Convertible Color on cheeks with Lillium Convertible Color on lips. To finish, she used Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Intense Black along the upper lash line, Glamoureyes Mascara on lashes, and Topaz Kajal Eyeliner on the lower lash line.

  1. Good. A model I can relate to (first one) even if she looks like she is 11 years old.

    • Supposedly, they have to be 16+ – this is the info I got from a mom who was actually escorting her daughter (who was 16 and a model) at the Erin Fetherston show!

I’m amazed at how much even backstage shots in magazines must be retouched! These girls look real, with all the junk going on that I am used to seeing on my skin and the skin of most of the people I know! Like acne, pores, scars, lines, texture unevenness…. I guess there is a big difference between the amount of time the makeup artists can spend with each model compared to red carpet makeup, where the artist does only one woman and can make her look perfect.

      • Stila had around 45 models to do in the 3 hour call time! It was CRAZY!

I would think the fact that they’re models are part of it – they’re just a prop for what’s being sold. They are there to emphasize the clothing rather than themselves. A movie star/celebrity IS the product, so perfection is a necessary illusion of the “packaging,” so to speak.

        • Yes, models are expected to have good skin. Sometimes the long hours of wearing makeup at shoots takes a toll on their complexions, but I have rarely worked with models who didn’t have good skin.

Seriously! Finally, a model with the same eyeshape I have :) You’re right about her look super young, but that tends to be the pattern with Asians-I’m 23 but commonly get mistaken for a 17yo *eep*

I hope they sell all this as a set like they usually do!

  3. Models have pores! I’m gabberflasted.

Kidding aside, I like this look. They managed to turn teal eye makeup into something modern instead of an 80s-eyes horror like in your ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Makeup Mistakes’ video :D

  4. Priscilla

Is one of those models Cory Kennedy?

  5. I love this look! Think I can get away with that at work? haha.

  6. WOW!!!! I love the jewel-toned eyes!

  7. Leah

This has been my favorite look of the shows so far. I am kind of surprised to see Alice + Olivia working with Stila for the show as they just sponsored with MAC last summer for that collection with the pigments, glosses, etc.

As a side note, thanks Christine for all the time and effort you have put in to upload these so quickly.

I love that eyeliner look… I am definitely going to try this look out!

Ehhh the face and lips seem a little to matte and clash with the eyes. Would like to see a bright pink lip with the eye makeup!
