The Hot Date palette looks pretty with the Azure and Mint colour.

I jumped on http://www.smashbox.com when they had just added the collection to their site. The only thing that tempted me was/is the lip shine in Berry Hot; I ordered it. The collection was taken down the next day – just in time to appear on QVC (which charges a bit too much for shipping as far as I’m concerned).

The lip shine is supposed to arrive today so we’ll see if it was worth ordering.

I think they made an exceedingly poor choice in packaging the palettes and the fusion soft lights. The plastic reminds me of the toy makeup packaging from the early 80’s. Maybe that was their mindset – it would explain the roll-on gloss.

I would suggest anyone interested in the higher-priced items just wait it out; I would be shocked if it didn’t end up in the Curtain Call section of their site within a few months at a marked discount (and free shipping).

Looks… cheap. I usually like Smashbox collections. As long as the products are good quality, then I guess it’s okay. I usually buy from the permenant collection anyway.

For this price it is a total rip off! The packaging for the eyeshadows look like they were picked up from the Daisho 100 YEN Store. The colors are no big deal either, easily duped. The designer should be smashed in the head, then fired!
