Milani Runway Eyeshadow: Beach Sand

Milani Beach Sand Runway Eyeshadow ($5.99 for 0.07 oz.) is a sheer, barely-there patina gold with a metallic shimmer-sheen.  It really is rather sheer when applied dry, but it does intensify when used wet.  However, this is a shade that can easily be used for that quick, two-minute eye look that adds a little dazzle to the lids without having to spend much time on it.  Just a quick swipe and you’re out the door–it’s one of those kinds of shades.  By itself, it doesn’t stay on for more than a couple of hours, but over a base, it worked just fine.

Check out my original review for my thoughts on the packaging.

I absolutely love this color for blending!

too bad it doesn't last, lovely shade, but who has time to put on make up over and over again???

I have this shade and love it. Of course I'm quite pale and use an eyeshadow base (thanks Urban Decay for changing that packaging!). It's a great shade for me to just throw on and go, but I don't know that it would work as well for those of you with something I'm sadly lacking... color. It's pretty good for what it is, although I agree about the brush, I just threw it away, I use my makeup brushes anyway. Love that close up pic though, makes me want to go run my feet through some sand!

>.< And here I was suckered into buying these Milani shadows because of what I saw in the store...

Maybe you will have better luck with them! :D

Very sheer, but very pretty ~ I simply wouldn't use the applicator :P

Well I would try the applicator but if it wasn't goot since someone said it was horrible >.>

Thanks for doing these, I always wonder about drugstore makeup because you can't test it. Lately, whenever I take a risk on it, it's a bomb.

I feel ya, Alisha! I really love being able to test products before I buy 'em!

This color would be perfect if it werent so sheer :( it looks beautiful in the pan

It would be good if you can depot those, I suppose. And if they were of greater quality. :P

I have this shade! I like to use it on top of NYX's Milk jumbo pencil. It really makes the sparkle as well as the color stick to your lids for hours.

Ok, the more and more I look at the packaging, it reminds me of my little girl's play make-up, I'm not even joking.

This would be good on lazy days and might make a good highlighter shade too.

Very pretty - it reminds me of Stila's Kitten a bit.

I totally love this kind of pale gold colour. This is perfect for me. Once again, awful, weird little applicator, but since I never use them, I don't care about it. Gorgeous colour, and that very close-up pic you took is beautiful. I would buy this in a heartbeat if it were availabe here, and I would go and shop for a dupe on this one.

They all look SUPER pretty upclose, haha, wish they would swatch the same.

At least they did a good job naming it. It really does look like sand in the pan.
