Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream: Two More!

I’ve already fully reviewed Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream ($22.00) here (#5, 7, 18, 21) and here (#6, 9, 11, 13, 20). I’ve got two more shades to show you!

  • #1 Anthracite is a darkened steel green with a light silver shimmer.
  • #22 Emerald Green is a brightened green with a slightly metallic-frost sheen and yellow undertones.

I can see #1 Anthracite working really well for an intense, ultra-dark smoky eye. I definitely think that #22 Emerald Green is definitely the more versatile and usable shade of these two in particular, though. It’s great layered underneath golds, greens, blues, and teals.

Anyone else indulge in the new Aqua Creams?

  1. That is a very nice green. I really like it.

  2. shontay says:

These are two of the first aqua creams that I bought and I love them. #1 is awesome as a liner when I don’t want to go with boring, flat black.

  3. Wendy M. says:

Gosh, these MUFE Aqua Creams are sooo pretty!
Maybe I should look into buying a few. :D

  4. Flame says:

I’ve bought Emerald Green recently and I love it :) It “survives” one hour in the gym. Perfect for hot summer days and rainy days. I have to buy more of these :)

  5. Kerri says:

You’re killing me with the aqua creams! I started out only wanting 2 and that number is increasing steadily.

  6. I love that green! Gorgeous!

  7. Roberta says:

I bought 4 of these and I hecka love them! I really can’t believe they don’t crease on me because usually everything does. Christine I hope you do a look with the gold one, I have this one and I’m kinda stumped on what to pair with it.

  8. AnGeLwInGz says:

I think that green one made my heart skip a beat! The other one is a strong consideration as well.

  9. Meagn says:

Hey Christine, I want to know out of all of the aqua creams you have bought, which do you think would look the best on Light blue eyes? Thank you :)

  10. JayJay says:

The green is beautiful! I find it really hard to find a nice bright kelly green.

  11. mary says:

the green one is sooooo pretty! i want it! are these better in quality than the paint pots from mac?

  12. Rawrzellers says:

    Now THAT’S a green.

  13. Princess Lolli says:

Any idea how easy it would be to mix Aqua Creams together in small batches to tweak shades? Like I really like Emerald Green, but I’m be happier if it were a bit bluer. It’d be nice it I could take just a smidge of Intense Blue and add it to Emerald Green.

  14. Tiffany says:

Hey christine what mac brush would you apply these with. Thanks!!!

  15. rukia says:

Christine, Thank you very much! That green is gorgeoussssssssssssssssss! ^_^ Must have it

  16. Cheyenne says:

How would you apply a product like this??

  17. Liz says:

are these creams perm or LE?

  18. Katie says:

How do you apply these? I bought #14 for my eyes and I can’t use my fingers, my eyelid is too small and I end up making a mess. Any brushes you suggest?

  19. Ilaria says:

I have the green one and it’s fabulous. I haven’t experienced any creasing with these, although I know some people have. I actually really love these cream eyeshadows, I want to buy Steel :)

  20. Martine says:

Can they be used as liners?

  21. Can the green be used on the lips? It’s difficult to find a beautiful green like this as a lipstick color. OCC had a botanical green lip tar, but looks like they’ve discontinued it because it’s no longer listed on the site.
