MAC Fabulous Felines: Burmese Beauty Look
Happy Friday!! Here’s a quick look I whipped up using the Burmese Beauty quad as the jumping off point… My apologies — I forgot to take a close-up of the lips for this look!
You will need the following…
- Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base (neutral eyeshadow base), MAC Skintone 2 Eyeshadow (muted gold), MAC Burmese Beauty Eyeshadow (red-toned brown with teal), MAC Showstopper Eyeshadow (matte dark brown), MAC Prized Eyeshadow (neutral highlighter), Bobbi Brown Black Plum Kohl Eyeliner (plum), Hourglass Film Noir Mascara (black)
- Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (140), Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder (translucent)
- Cheeks: Korres #15 Natural Blush (brown with pink)
- Lips: MAC To Pamper Lipstick (taupe nude), MAC Spree Lipglass (champagne coral)
- Brushes: 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 116 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: Skintone 2 = Patina + Goldmine; Burmese Beauty = Club/Blue Brown; Showstopper = Brun; Prized = Shroom; To Pamper = Brew; Spree = Lychee Luxe
For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Skintone 2 eyeshadow on the inner third of the lid and pull upwards along the inner crease. Lightly blend Burmese Beauty eyeshadow on the middle and outer portion of the lid with the 239. Next, apply Showstopper eyeshadow into the crease with the 226, lightly blending onto the outer lid. Lightly tap Skintone 2 eyeshadow above the crease. Blend Prized eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Black Plum kohl eyeliner on the lower lash line and lightly tapping Skintone 2 eyeshadow below. Finish by sweeping lashes with Film Noir mascara.
For cheeks, apply #15 blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.
For lips, apply To Pamper lipstick first, and then layer Spree lipglass for a complementing lip.

I have this quad, but I like to go nuts with the coordinating pigment (Antique Green) to kick it up a notch and make it edgier.
Very shocked to see mac has Burmese Beauty quad I never knew that i must get it since i am burmese and love the loook <3
I just got this quad as a gift for my birthday on Saturday. I was thinking about what looks I could do with it and then I saw this. I have to try this look. I love it.
Wow, I really want this palette now! Burmese Beauty is such an interesting colour! Ohw, your blending is always so flawless, you really inspire me to practise practise practise!:)
lovely....the colours look so pretty and rich here...but then the full face open eyes shot it's almost like a natural look! so you got the black plum kohl to work? or are the pics just before the disappearance?
I'm really undecided about this quad. I love the blue brown shade, but not sure I need the whole quad. However, it does work very well together and the look you created is great. And you say it's dupeable, but since I don't have any of the dupes, buying 4 pro-pan refills would actually work out more expensive than buying the quad... Hm, what to do? :)
skintone 2 is only playing a supporting role in this look but it's my fav of all the shadows you used. burmese beauty is cool too but that's cuz i'm such a fan of club.
Gorgeous look Christine. I am tempted to buy this quad but I have all of the substitute shades you listed, so I'll be wise and skip it. I'm thinking about spree lipglass. What do you think about it for NC45/50 with pigmented lips? I already have wildly refined and I once had lychee luxe, but it did nothing for me.
Thanks, Shontay! :) I think Spree could work, but if you don't think Lychee Luxe did anything... pass.
Aww what a pretty look!! I wanted to get this quad but have changed my now since Burmese Beauty is the only eyeshadow I really wanted from this. I think I'll get Club instead =) I swatched both on my hand and yes they're the same eyeshadow with a different name lol. Love your beauty tips and blog, YOU ARE FANTASTIC!! ♥
This is such a gorgeous look! I love how it's neutral but the slight duochrome in burmese beauty gives it depth.
I really love how the teal reflection makes this otherwise neutral/smokey look appear. Really hot. I HAVE Club, and a sample of Blue Brown pigment, but I never ever use them. Clearly I have to do so more often!
