Looks - Summery Teals

Posted in: Gold, Looks, Teal

As someone who isn’t scared of heights, the zipline wasn’t as exhilerating as I thought it would be. I think I had more of a “thrill ride” while horseback riding! It wasn’t bad, but I don’t think I need to do it again. I did this look late in the day (probably 4pm or so), and I figured I’d go bolder than I have been! Today’s my last day to bum around Hawaii - tomorrow I fly back home. I miss my baby boy and my boyfriend terribly, so I’m eager to return home after being away for a week :)

You will need the following…

  • Eyes: Cocomotion pigment (metallic brown base), Rye eyeshadow (antique gold), Mink & Sable eyeshadow (olive green), Gulf Stream eyeshadow (teal), Ricepaper eyeshadow (neutral highlighter), Feline kohl power (black), Plushlash mascara (black)
  • Cheeks: Margin blush (dirty pink)
  • Lips: Strawberry Blonde lipstick (pink), C-thru lipglass (nude)
  • Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
  • Substitutes: Cocomotion = Tan; Rye = Romp; Mink & Sable = Sumptuous Olive; Gulf Stream = Shimmermoss; Strawberry Blonde = Sweetie

Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Cocomotion pigment all over the lid as the base with the 249. Apply Rye eyeshadow to inner third of the lid using the 239 brush. Follow by applying Mink & Sable eyeshadow to the middle of the lid. Darken outer lid with Gulf Stream eyeshadow. Apply Gulf Stream eyeshadow into outer crease to deepen, using the 239. Soften harsh lines with Rye eyeshadow swept above crease. Highlight brow with Ricepaper eyeshadow. Line lower lash line with Feline kohl power. Sweep apples of cheeks with Margin blush using the 129. Apply Strawberry Blonde lipstick to lips, and then top with C-thru lipglass for color and shine.

with the money you’re spending in hawaii, wouldn’t it be better spent towards helping your dog get better? i don’t get it… priorities?

Christine

Friday, August 22, 2008

I’m flabbergasted that anyone would think that I would rather go off on vacation than help my dog. I’m sure most people plan vacations and do not plan their dog’s health problems in advance, and my trip to Hawaii has been planned for some time. Additionally, it is a family vacation, and my parents are covering all the costs of the trip as a birthday gift, so it has nothing to do with “helping my dog get better.”

Foregoing surgery for him is not strictly a financial-only decision. We do not feel surgery (aka what “with the money you’re spending in Hawaii” would tend to go towards) is the answer for his problems. Our decision is to let nature take its course and to give him supplements and medications as needed. We do not want to put him through numerous surgeries when none of them come with guarantees (especially a heart surgery) and the heart surgery is not without risk (10% die on the table). We feel giving him the best quality of life, for however long he is able to have it, is the best course of action.

Kristelle, did you get up out the wrong side of the bed this morning? O.o

Kristelle

No i didn’t get up on the wrong side of the bed. I just think ( my opinion) that if someone basically says “omg i love my dog SO much but he’s sick and it’s SO expensive to save his life” the last thing I would think they’d do is spend money and go to Hawaii. I’m just saying. My opinion. (shrugs)I personally would pretty much exhaust my funds trying to save my “beloved” pets life. That’s just me.

She already said her family paid for her to go on vacation with them, so she isn’t spending money on Hawaii that could go to Magellan.

Besides, he is HER dog and not yours, and just as it is with our family members, so we can choose ‘death with dignity’, surgeries, exhausting our funds, or making their lives as easy as possible until they leave us naturally. It is up to us and what we know of our pets and their personalities, and what we feel is best.

I don’t see how that is so hard to understand.

wait…did you say ‘baby boy’?

are you referring to your actual son or Mellan?

sorry Christine, I didn’t know you had a son (if you do have one!) lol! I should pay attention more!

Christine

Monday, August 25, 2008
