Looks – Soft Neutral Pink Eye For Lazy Outdoor Days

OMG, I know this is really like… dull and boring and not at all like the past few FOTDs I’ve posted in the past couple of days, but not everyday can be the bold & the bright. I spent all of yesterday (this is from yesterday!) at my parents’ house with my puppy, so I knew I’d be outside most of the time (and doing three weeks’ worth of laundry!). Plus, my parents? Totally not lovers of bright colors, and since I only see them every few weeks, I aimed to please ;)

I used Soft Ochre paint pot on lid, Hush eyeshadow on inner lid, Motif eyeshadow above inner crease, Expensive Pink eyeshadow on middle of lid, Cranberry eyeshadow on outer lid, Beauty Burst eyeshadow on outer crease, Hush eyeshadow above crease, Vex eyeshadow on brow, Nylon eyeshadow on lower lash line, Feline kohl power on lower lash line, and Plushblack plushlash mascara on lashes. I wore True Romantic beauty powder blush with Tenderdusk beauty powder to highlight on cheeks. I had Sweetie lipstick with Cult Fave lipglass and Tres Cher! lipglass on my lips.

That’s what a totally exhausted puppy looks like. As in snoring like a MACK TRUCK!

I’m not sure that I’ve ever commented. I’ve been an almost daily reader for a few months. I am a lover of make-up but rarely wear it, however I’m gearing up to try and your FOTD pics and instrux are very helpful.
BUT
really I’m writing to say
that today doesnt sound like a lazy day at ALL (as in your title)!!!
3 weeks of laundry???!?!?!?
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Hey Genevra! Thank you for stopping by :)
LOL, well, no real work other than the laundry. Gosh, I hate laundry. So time consuming and such a chore!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
This one is so soft & pretty. I like it a lot! I’ve been playing with pink eye shadows a lot lately because it’s perfect for the Spring season! I just bought the True Romantic beauty powder today & I have to say that I LOVE IT. :)
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Hey Janelle!
Thank you so much :) It’s definitely a fun spring color scheme! True Romantic is gorgeous!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Oh, wow! That’s a very subtle pink! I really like it!<3 I don’t like pink at all! But this is an exception, as it’s so soft!=)
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Thank you, Sash :D
Sunday, April 6, 2008
This look is so pretty :) And LOL at Magellan! That is a great photo!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Thanks, Stacey! I could not believe how tired he was!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Man I wish I could pull a Magellan, if only. lol. Love the look Christine! The colors come together really nicely.
Sunday, April 6, 2008
LOL, me too, Faiza. I don’t know if I’ve ever slept as soundly as he was.
Thanks!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
The eye looks great but I have to say, Magellan stole the show this time. We have a cat that lays like that. We call it “Super Cat”. In your case, it would be “Super Dog” :)
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Thanks, Angi! LOL, how cute!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
This looks so gorgeous on you! Do you know a dupe for Beauty Burst?
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Thanks, Leigh! Try Brown Down!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
That is so pretty. So soft and spring-y! Just a question: what is another shadow that may be close to Beauty Burst? I don’t have that one, and would like to replicate the look on myself :) Thanks
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Thanks, Vanessa :) You can try Brown Down or Soft Brown – I used it SO lightly that you could use any warm brown probably!
Monday, April 7, 2008
You know now that I think about it, that was from the Barbie line right? I had it, never used it, and returned it after it sitting in the box for 2 months! I will try the other alternatives though….maybe even today :) Thanks!
Friday, April 11, 2008
Yep, it was :) You know, lots of people loved it, but I hardly use mine!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Beautiful look, Christine!
Do you know your colors well enough to know which ones are LE and which ones are Perm? Just a suggestion (because I use your looks all the time) – I wonder if you could possibly write (LE) at least next to the ones that can’t be found anymore? If it takes too long, that’s ok, just a thought. I appreciate everything you do!! :-)
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Thanks, Heather! I appreciate the suggestion, I’ll see what I can do :)
Sunday, April 6, 2008
hahah, your doggy!
i think this answers my question about my fav lip combo! thanks!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Sure, no problem :)
He is a funny guy that dog!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Can you possibly do a tutorial on this look sometime soon?
Sunday, April 6, 2008
I’ll try, Tatiana!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
3 wks of laundry, lucky it was not a month i thought i was going crazy washing so many loads, i was tired after i was finished. any of the shadows are from the cool palette. (holiday 07)
Sunday, April 6, 2008
lol! I think I run out of shirts within three weeks. Well, shirts I feel like wearing. The closet is never empty!
No, I don’t think any of these were from the cool palette! (I definitely didn’t use the cool palette for it, that’s for sure.)
Sunday, April 6, 2008
You’d never think there were so many types of pink on your eyes. I don’t recognize Beauty Burst, is it LE and if so, is there a similar perm shade?
And your puppy is getting so big! In that picture he looks like one of those animal rugs you throw in front of a fire place. Life is so hard for the furry adventurer *lol*
Sunday, April 6, 2008
It was from Barbie, so it was LE. You could try Soft Brown instead for this look – I used it SUPER lightly, so any warm red-brown would work in its place.
He was in heaven yesterday, running around on my parents’ deck. He makes me feel bad for having an apartment (though he’s only been so confined because he hasn’t gotten all of his shots yet–one more week!).
Sunday, April 6, 2008
Your dog is growing so quickly! Oh yeah, nice makeup too ^_^
Friday, April 11, 2008
I know!! They grow up so fast.
Thanks!
Sunday, April 6, 2008
love this look! :)
i have a suggestion..is it possible for you to put up a photo of the makeup you’ve used along with the looks? :) ‘cos i think that’ll help the readers imagine what kind of colors you have used as not all or us are familiar with the shades.
thanks! <3
Friday, April 11, 2008
Thanks, Shin!
I’ll certainly try, but honestly they’re usually in multiple palettes, so it’s a pain to take them out and I generally don’t have the time to do it.
Sunday, April 6, 2008
I really like it.
I´m going to try some light and soft pinks for myself now. I´ve always stayed away because I feared that my eyes would look like I cried for days, but I think with such a look like this it can work for me, too.
I love Magellans sleeping position, it´s so cute, my cat used to do that when she was young (poor Otti had to be put to sleep last summer :( )
Friday, April 11, 2008
Thanks, Nell! :)
Let me know how it works out! I find that soft pinks can often be easier than medium pinks (which can make you look like you’ve been crying, lol).
Aww, poor Otti, how old was she? My “dog” that resides with my parents is 15 years old, and we’re never sure when his time might be.
Friday, April 11, 2008
Otti was 17. So it was her time, but it was still very, very sad.
I tell my son stories about her every night at bedtime :)
Friday, April 11, 2008
Oh, wow! A nice long life was lived by her :)
Keep the memories alive!
Monday, April 7, 2008
Hey Cristine,
A NEW look comparing to all these days!Wish i cud have a sound sleeep like him, ahhhhhh.
Zzainy.
Friday, April 11, 2008
Thanks, Zainy! :) LOL, me too.
Monday, April 7, 2008
Hey Christine,
I totally agree with your view on laundry! Hope your weekend was a great one despite it.
This look is great, (but what’s new), it’s a pity that I don’t have these colours at my disposal. I went to the MAC store yesterday and I am proud to say that I now have 53 colours in my collection!!! I am getting there….and this all in 2 months time…
Your puppy is really adorable (this coming from someone who isn’t into pets at all!!!)
Have a nice day.
Carmen
Friday, April 11, 2008
It was :)
Wow, 53!! Congrats, Carmen.
Thank you!
Monday, April 7, 2008
Beautiful! I noticed you used 2 lipglasses here. Does this ever get too heavy? Do you have any application tips or you simply put one over the other? Btw, Magellan seems like tons of fun!!
Friday, April 11, 2008
Hey Chloe!
Normally if I know I’m going to use two lipglasses, I just put one on the bottom lip, the other on the top, then mush and blend. Not heavy at all :)
Another way is to rub it in together with your finger, because you end up taking a LOT of product off with your finger while still getting the color you like.
Monday, April 7, 2008
Ahh your puppy is sooo cute, all sprawled out. *lol*
I actually really love the subtlety of this look. Just a silent splash of pink, very nice. Love the lip combo!
Friday, April 11, 2008
Thank you! :)
LOL, yes, he’s so funny to watch sometimes.
Monday, April 7, 2008
Soft and beautiful makeup! I love it. & HILARIOUS picture!! :D
Friday, April 11, 2008
Thank you, Mikella :D
Monday, April 7, 2008
How is that boring??
It is so pretty and “spring”-y .. :o)
Oh, and: Magellan is the cutest dog ever!
Friday, April 11, 2008
lol, well, boring compared to what I’ve been doing lately!
Thank you!
Monday, April 7, 2008
the pink looks so lovely on you! and the picture of the puppy is such a precious capture. he’ll be happy to see that when he gets older, hah.
Friday, April 11, 2008
Thanks, Mrs. Lynne :) He gets so many photos snapped so we don’t forget the early days!
Monday, April 7, 2008
That is such a soft and beautiful look! I’ve been doing pink looks but they’re not responding very well. Many say that it doesn’t matches my skin tone. I wonder why. (I’m a light tan quite similar to your skin tone)
Friday, April 11, 2008
Thanks, Connie! :) How odd, well I’d keep working the pinks and trying new combos to find one that suits you. Then again, if you think it looks good, then go for it!
Monday, April 7, 2008
I loove your lipgloss combos! Mellan is too cute for words :D He’s growing so big…siiiigh…
Friday, April 11, 2008
Thanks :D I love coming up with new ones!
I can’t even carry him anymore!
Tuesday, April 8, 2008
That’s a very subtle and classy look – love it!
Friday, April 11, 2008
Thanks, Tonee!!

Hi Christine!!
First of I LOVE YOUR BLOG!!! I just started getting into blogs recently, and it has been a positive experience! I was wondering, in a lot of your looks I have notice that you use a lot ochre style paint pot first as a “base”. Do you really find it to be that versatile?? Would you think it’s more versatile than let say bare study paint pot?? I was also curious if you will go through this look in a step by step approach any time soon??? It would be fabulous if you did!! Keep up the BEAUTIFUL WORK!! =)
Friday, April 11, 2008
Hey Yvette!
Thank you so much :) I’m glad you enjoy the blog!
I love it as a paint pot base… I do find it’s really versatile and better than the other paint pots. I don’t think I’ll be doing a tutorial for this look, but I’ll keep it in mind!
Friday, April 11, 2008
Hi Christine! Thanks for the response! =) I also meant to tell you too, I LOVE YOUR PUPPY!! =) Have a great weekend!
Monday, April 14, 2008
No problem!
Thanks Yvette!

I should learn to tone my make up down a tad and try something soft like that because that looks great. I’m always looking for new ways to wear pinks afterall. :)
That puppy is precious. I would die laughing if any of our 3 cats slept like that geez! My roomie’s tortoise sometimes sleeps like that though which is truly strange and rather comical.

Sometimes mixing it up with a softer look can be fun, Bettina! I love bold makeup, but I’ve learned to appreciate softer/neutral makeup, too :)
LOL, yes, dogs can do some very odd things…haha.
