Illamasqua DWS Nail Varnish ($14.00 for 0.5 fl. oz.) is described as a “cement grey” with a cream finish. It’s a gorgeous shade of gray that doesn’t lean brown–it’s that perfect shade of gray skies. There’s a tinge of blue in it, but it’s very subtle and only picked up in really bright, direct light. Zoya’s Dove was the closest shade I could think of, but it leans browner–less blue.
The formula was exactly what I expect of Illamasqua: excellent. It’s thick without being goopy, so it delivers amazing color coverage–almost opaque in a single coat, though I did two here. It flows evenly across the nail without bubbling or streaking. I typically get a week of wear without minimal tip wear with Illamasqua’s polishes.

I think Essie polish in Chinchilly is a verrry close match! Maybe check that out

I love Illamasqua polishes in general. If I had to pick one brand for the rest of my life… Illamasqua. Worth the extra money, IMO.

O no, this shade reminds me to much of the summer we’ve been having over here… I can’t remember what color the sky is supposed to be…

I own Zoya’s Dove, but I would consider buying this one, too. I would definitely look nicer with my complexion.
Major fan of this shade. This might be my first Illumenesque polish I finally get. I have to watch my pennies however as have major surgery coming up in Oct with my huge share to pay as well as 1 month of Residency Inn charges so I stay in the area post op per MD orders. But maybe I can sneak in another order from Sephora between now and then. It’s not the right shade I need to get however for Sept Ovarian Cancer Awareness. I am on a major hunt for the right teal/aqual for their shade.

Ooops spoke too soon – it’s there only on a gray color dot and description says CEMENT GRAY! It’s so not that. The blue really is coming through over the gray. I would never buy it not having see this swatch! I hate color chips!

Why 4/5 on the packaging?
The handle isn’t as comfortable to hold/use as it could be.
I have this shade and I love it so much!! Plus it’s almost perfect in one coat and lasts for a week as you’ve said.
