Giorgio Armani Copper/Black Grey (15) Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow

Giorgio Armani Copper/Black Grey (15) Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow

Giorgio Armani Copper/Black Grey (15) Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is slightly cool-toned bronzy brown with a hint of taupe in it.  There’s a muted quality about the overall color that makes it a really wearable but rich brown.   It works well whether it is used dry or wet–when used wet, it seems like the color has a warmer undertone.  The finish is a reflective, metallic sheen with a bronzy-gold micro-shimmer.

The texture of the Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadows is interesting; it’s a really compacted loose powder, but it’s so finely milled that it almost feels like a hybrid cream-powder. Each pot contains 0.14 oz. worth of product, which is a good amount, given that most pressed eyeshadows average around 0.05 oz. I have worn around half of the range alone on lids with 12+ hours of wear without creasing, smudging, or fading.

product

#15

A+
It's still a brown-based shade, so it might be similar to products you already own, and as far as this particular range goes, may not be the most multi-faceted of the ones available. It is excellent in color payoff, texture, and wear, though!

Product & Review FAQ

Where can I purchase a #15? How much is it?

Is it limited edition?

Yes.

Any dupes?

It's darker and cooler-toned compared to Illamasqua Ore. It seems like it would compare well with MAC Woodwinked.

  2. Oh my that’s SO beautiful! =)

  3. Martina

i can’t wait for these shadows to be available in italy. but how many colors are them?

  4. Marieke

Woh, I thought it would be much darker… I think I would have liked it more if it was darker…

  5. I have been lusting after these, but was put off by the price. I just did the math, though, and this is quite reasonably-priced given the volume. I’ll have to go look at these in person. Thanks, Christine!

  6. I can easily see this as a good transitional shade for when you want to turn day makeup into night makeup.

Christine, what color is your fave from this line? Khaki Pulse, perhaps?

  8. flyavsted

Love it! Putting it on my lust list!

    Hi Christine,

Did you try the new l’oreal infallible color? Eveyone was saying how they are dupe of Armani eyes to kill e/s. Will you be comparing those 2 eyeshadows?

    • Emiloulou

I emailed her with the exact same question a few weeks ago and she said they aren’t available in the US.

I have a matte L’Oreal infaillible (16 Coconut Shake, a light, skin-coloured one I use as a matte highlighter) and like it, but I have no idea how it compares to the shimmery ones. From what I swatched in the shop, the shimmery ones seemed really pigmented though!

    • Ananthi Parkin

The Loreal Infallible colour eyeshadows are nothing compared to the Armani ETK. I have a few of both of them but for me the ETK are much more intense and multi dimensional. It also has a good lasting power.

Thanks again for another great review! I don’t know which one to choose!

  11. Sarah

How do these compare to Chanel’s new pot eyeshadows and Lancome’s Ombre Magnetique shadows? Thanks!

  12. Puffnstuff
