Essie Navigate Her Nail Lacquer
Essie Navigate Her Nail Lacquer
Essie Navigate Her Nail Lacquer ($8.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as a “new growth green.” It’s a soft pastel green with subtle warm yellow undertones. The closest dupe I could think of was Zoya Tracie, which has subtle metallic shimmer running through it. It’s also a little yellower. Barielle Myrza’s Meadow is also a bit similar, though a touch lighter, and it has multi-colored flecks of sparkle. I love the yellow component to this, because it keeps it from being a cool, minty green that screams winter to me; the warmth gives it the freshness of springtime to me.
Navigate Her was opaque in two coats. The initial coat was a little streaky, but it was opaque and even with the second coat. It had a well-balanced consistency that was neither too thick or too thin, so it applied fluidly and evenly without pooling or bubbling. I tested Navigate Her for wear, and it managed a full seven days without chipping and had minimal tip wear at the end of the week.

| This will be beautiful against neutral and warm skin tones in particular--though it has subtle warm undertones, so I think cooler complexions can still pull this off. The formula was really easy to work with, and there was excellent color payoff. | |

THAT IS GORG!
I love Navigate Her! As you say it’s a great spring color!
Ooh, that is such a beautiful color!!!
I’m wearing it right now
It’s my first Essie polish and the application was a dream. I’m on my third day and it still looks exactly the same.
I wasn’t even so sure about buying it, because I have a lime-colored polish which looks terrible on me, but I love Navigate Her.
Really beautiful! Too bad I know it would look horrible on me
I picked up this color a while back because it’s a gorgeous polish. Unfortunately, it looks terrible against my fair, cool-toned skin. It really looks great on olive skin tones though.
looks like a scoop of pistachio ice cream
I WANT IT!
i love this polish so much
it has a great formula too, unlike essie tour de finance
I ♥ the shade. It looks great on you, especially for the Spring
Don’t know why so many people are “leavin’ it”. I don’t think my bottle reads quite as yellow-toned IRL, but I think it’s a gorgeous pastel green! Almost like a pistachio green. Anyway, if you’re into trends at all, pastel/mint greens are pretty popular recently. Especially with the release of Dior’s Waterlily!
I’m wearing this right now! The application was beautiful, and it looks exceptional on my skin tone. I have translucently pale (literally white as a sheet) neutral-toned skin that pulls slightly warm, so greens generally flatter me, and this is no exception! It looks so beautiful and I get lots of compliments on it.
I’ve worn this one frequently since I got it. It’s a perfect spring color.
is this at all like Butter London’s Bossy Boots? I’d love if they were close because I like Essie’s price more than BL’s
I don’t think I have that!
Love that this is a) not chalky b) a move away from the olive/army greens c) not another mint green d) has that touch of yellow in it that moves it into a new/different fresh category of greens for this spring.
My Favorite for spring!! I love this color on brown skin!
It’s the color of pus. Gross
Or snot, if one has a sinus infection.
I really want this, haven’t been able to get my mitts on it yet!
Whoa rude. It’s actually a really pretty color.
I found this ridiculously hard to paint with, as I find all Essie nail polishes!!
The color is great but I can’t seem to get even, consistent coats! P.S. The green polish “Agor” that is part of The Hunger Games series by China Glaze is fabulous if you like a good emerald green!
I love this. I got it as soon as it came out- it’s not a pus color!! It’s avocado
hehe
And red polish looks like blood, brown shades can looks like you know what…the list goes on. I actually love this color, have it on right now.
Wearing it now!!
