Dior Exquis (611) Vernis Nail Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches

Dior Exquis (611) Vernis Nail Lacquer

Dior Exquis (611) Vernis Nail Lacquer ($22.00 for 0.33 oz.) is a murky brown–it’s not quite taupe; it seems too brown to be taupe–with muted golden shimmer threaded through the color. It was opaque in two coats.  Dior’s formula lasts a week on me with minor tip wear (with a base/top coat–I use Zoya Anchor and Armor).  For a brown, it’s not overly warm, so I think cooler skin tones may find it a workable brown.  The lightness of it should also help with wearability.  I think the addition of the golden shimmer keeps it on-trend without being overkill.  Exquis applied easily without being too thick or thin, so it flowed evenly across the nail bed and didn’t bubble or streak.

China Glaze Street Chic has a very similar base color, though it’s slightly less murky. Rescue Beauty Lounge Decorous is a bit lighter and cooler-toned. China Glaze Ingrid is similar in overall color and shimmer, but it is several shades darker.

Where to Buy: Nordstrom, $22

I have to say it: I tried this polish at the drugstore aaaaaand... It's a perfect dupe of CATRICE - YES YOU TAN from the limited edition Bohemia. Actually they are not perfect dupes, because the Catrice one is more opaque ;P The other polishes of this Dior collection have a superb quality and coverage (especially the reds) but this one... Catrice wins! ;)

Thats a super gorgeous shade...and so unique!!!

It looks pretty to me and I usually don't go for neutral colours. (This looks neutral to me)

It's definitely more neutral!

I really like this color. A little pricey but it is Dior. I may check out China Glaze Ingrid instead.

Ingrid isn't a bad option for how much cheaper it is!

I kinda like this, but I already own CG Ingrid, so I'm covered! :)

CG Ingrid is a good dupe, given the price difference!

Weird comment, but the name of this polish is actually "Exquis." I confirmed that it's spelled incorrectly on the nordstrom website-- but I already owned this and thought I was going crazy that I didn't realize it had such a wonky name. Anyway, I confirmed on dior.com and my polish box. In other news-- This polish is even more beautiful in person :)

Thanks, Whitney! I don't have the box and just have a sample label :(
